They came out the first time to provide a quote to my mom and tried to pressure my immigrant mother into getting the $25,000 bathroom renovation. They would not leave and only agreed to once she put down $50 for a so-called "spot holder". Then prior to their second visit, she calls and tells them no over the phone, that she and my dad were "not interested due to the price point". They show a second time unannounced at 2 pm telling my mom they could lower the price to $16,000. She, again, said no. Tell me why they show up a THIRD TIME UNANNOUNCED at 7PM and had the audacity to ask her why she didn't move forward with them. What?? No means no. This time I was there and stepped out and told them in plain English that they were not interested, and that it was the final decision. It definitely seemed like they were pressuring my immigrant parents because the felt like they could and tried to take advantage of them. The turn over in the company is so high that we haven't been able to get support for the current plans we had to install a bathroom. We were bullied into signing a contract after inquiring about a promotion they were having. I am pregnant and at the time we didn't even have power in our new home. The sales guys were there for hours on end into the night and the dark, refusing to leave as the "offer" won't be good tomorrow but we can change our minds. We put down a deposit of $5000 and still can't get any support from anyone in service or finance. Phone calls and voicemails go unanswered and no one will respond to emails either. The finance company cancelled the loan as well. Even the Sales rep has stopped responding. We are forced to submit a complaint with the BBB and try to get our credit card to do a charge back. Not only that but they did not give her a detailed estimate, just a piece of paper with the total price. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I WOULD GIVE IT 0 STARS IF I HAD THAT OPTION! In December, 2017, Remodel USA installed a new bathroom in the master bedroom of my townhome. While initially the company stated that the project would be completed in 1-2 weeks, it took well over 3 1/2 weeks for it to be ready for our first review. During this inspection, my girlfriend and I found at least 5 problems, which we insisted the contractor fix. Even after the contractor made some corrections, there were at least 2-3 issues that were not resolved before the company wanted to conduct a "final" inspection. The company representatives who conducted the "final walk through" identified numerous areas that needed to either be fixed or adjusted. They stated that the contractor would come back and take care of these concerns. However, this never occurred. To add to the list of work that needed to be completed, one of the new shelves that was installed fell off. (NOTE: It was not anchored into the wall but instead was applied with double sided tape and calking.) Also, cracks appeared in some of the newly installed calking. I have attempted to contact the company countless times over the past 5 months to finish their work and representatives continue to only provide verbal assurance that the project would be finished. The original contractor has scheduled twice to come to finish his work but twice he failed to show up, without any notice or justification. I spent over $25,000 for this new bathroom and I absolutely regret choosing this company. I hope everyone who reads this review takes the extra time to find any other company than this one. Tomorrow, I plan to notify the better business bureau of this company's horrendous work and speak with a legal representative about how I may get the work completed in my home or recuperate my money. I contacted this company as they had previously installed windows on my company's townhouse commercial space. When I made the appointment, I made it clear that my board of directors wanted me to get several estimates for them to review. Bernard came out, measured the windows, and then asked if I'd sign that day. I reiterated that my board wanted to review estimates. He then asked if I didn't have the authority to commit to windows. I again reiterated about my board. He said he would send me an estimate. A week goes by and I hear nothing. I call up to ask about it and Bernard answered the phone. He said he'd go talk to his managers about getting the estimate and that he'd call me right back. Nope. Apparently this company will only work with you if you sign their contract right then and there. Avoid them. I and my family stick with they owe 4,400 to 4,600 of it back, if not all of it for the shear rudeness, as 2 men ripped out an old tub very quickly while doing the shower job on other contract and cracked the plumbing in doing so they ripped it out so fast and haphazardly, and no labor is $3,400 for an hour or less of work. Run away! Fraud, deceit, incompetence are some of the hallmarks of this business' plan to suck every last bit of your patience. The salesman will give you the phone numbers of the all the people who are supposed to care, from the President of the company, on down. No one cares if your 3-day Kohler LuxStone project takes 4 weeks and has to be redone because they didn't follow the contract, and ordered the wrong materials. No one responds when, during this 4-weeks, your combat-disabled, bronze star spouse has to sponge bath, or go to an ADA accessible hotel to shower. In short, they hire subcontractors, give them your address and don't follow-up until they think the work is done, then try to sell you on the deviations from the contract saying how nice the uneven tile, curb (supposed to be zero-entry shower) and pooling water look so nice. They also ignore the adhesive left all over the surrounding floors, vanity, and damage the walls. Only when they have to tear out the original work do you discover they used screws, not pipe hangers, to secure your water lines (would wear a hole in a few years), they don't actually use Kohler except where you can see it on the shower heads, but, even then, not the handles. I now wonder if the panels are even the Kohler LuxStone. After months without contact and zero effort to remedy the damages, they will still submit to the finance company for full payment. I have never had a more unprofessional interaction with a company. I own my home, therefore I am the point of contact for my project. THEY called ME to schedule an estimate, so they saw that contact information. During the call, the service rep kept asking for my husband. At no point during the contractor bidding process did I mention my (nonexistent) husband. "Will Mr. LastName be at the appointment?" "No, Mr. LastName will not be attending." You know, because my dad doesn't supervise his grown daughter's business interactions. "What time works for Mr. LastName?" "Mr. LastName is unavailable." "We really would prefer to have Mr. LastName there as well." "I am the homeowner, I am the sole decision maker." No amount of telling them "This is MY house and MY project" worked. I finally said I AM NOT MARRIED and they got off my case. Why would you ever assume that the point of contact is not the decision maker? It was an incredibly CONDESCENDING and SEXIST experience, not to mention presumptuous that a single woman HAD to have a husband in this day and age. Is it so incredible that a single woman purchased a home? News flash: this isn't the 1950s. Believe it or not, women can have jobs now. Women can purchase homes without husbands. Women, in fact, can marry women. WOW. If this company is so obsessed with knowing if the customer is solely making the decision, just ask "Are you the sole decision maker of this project?" It's not that hard, and not that discriminatory. At this point, I went against my better instinct and scheduled my appointment with the rep anyway. The service rep then transferred me...to a scheduler? To ask the same questions. The scheduler, once again, asked if my husband will be joining. SERIOUSLY? Does this company not communicate internally? Why am I getting asked the same questions twice. I once against had to disclose my marital status, but at least she got it the first time and apologized. Whatever. I approved the appointment because I saw this company had 4 stars, so maybe, just maybe, they weren't that incompetent at winning thousands of dollars of business. The designer came to my house the next day. Um...designer...?! I didn't ask for a designer. I asked for someone to come out and do an estimate for labor. They then quoted me OVER FOUR TIMES the quotes other contractors had given me. The designer was nice enough about it and knew right away it wasn't going to work out, so there was no upselling. In summation, this was such a colossal waste of my time. USA Remodel renovated my bathroom in 2021 completing the work, taking over a month to do so, in October 2021. Calls and letters were sent to the management, starting November 6, 2021, complaining of a leak from the shower. These calls and letters continued thru March 2022 when we gave up with no solution regarding the leak. My reason for writing this review now is because of a leak found from the toilet USA Remodel installed during the renovation. I was having painting done and the slow leak was discovered in the ceiling below the upstairs toilet. This required new base flooring, new sheet rock and new installation of toilet with the wet ring USA Remodel had not installed, and new vinyl flooring in entire bathroom. At the same time this plumber was able to eliminate my leak by reversing the shower doors. A very simple fix but not able to be accomplished by USA Remodel. I now have a fully functional bathroom two years later. This cost an additional $2500 on top of what I paid USA Remodel which was a LOT. I give a one star rating above only because I have to, to post this review of the abysmal service and amateurish work done by this company with no regard for my problem. read more

I hired Remodel USA to completely redo a powder room with a damaged tile floor. The list of promises made was nowhere near met and the quality of the product was far below what I expected. * The door doesn't close/latch. * A custom high quality vanity was promised; due to incorrect measurements and flat out lies by the salesperson, I wound up with cheap Ikea crap. * The tile baseboard I was promised was not installed - "We only do that in a full bathroom." * The light fixtures are not the type/quality I was promised. * The bathroom hardware (toilet paper / towel holder) are not the type/quality I ordered. * The floor is not level. The toilet is consequently not level. It's been two weeks and they have yet to follow up with me about these issues. The only reason I give them two stars instead of one is that the subcontractor actually doing the install went above and beyond to do the best he could with the incorrect details and materials provided. read more

They refinished our basement with the Owens Corning product that they install. It was cosmetically appealing, especially initially, and I found it so very comfortable--it absolutely transformed the basement. But there were some structural imperfections, and I couldn't get them to come back and make any repairs (as promised under the supposed "lifetime warranty"). Specifically, the company installed Owens Corning panels very close to our furnace, so we had to pop out the panels each time that an AC/furnace check was done (twice yearly). Unsurprisingly, the panels degraded over time. The supposed "lifetime" warranty requires that you use Remodel USA to do any repairs, but the company doesn't return (numerous) calls and wouldn't come back to fix the product. I tried leaving messages, numerous times, over a years-long period. Eventually, because the basement looked so terrible with the furnace exposed--and pieces of the scratchy, insulation-like product were disintegrating all over the place--we decided to just rip out their system and start over. Another contractor redid our basement. The funny thing is, they did immediately return my call when I called to inquire about a new project, but because I couldn't pin them down on a date to come and repair the old job, we decided not to use them again. read more

After scheduling an appointment and rearranging my work schedule to accommodate their availability the sales rep from remodel USA showed up to my home and advised me that he would not need to see my bathroom to write an estimate to remodel my bathroom. Instead, he said it was necessary to go over the details that he had in his briefcase which I assume were sales material unrelated to my specific bathroom or the ideas I had in mind for the remodel. Shortly after agreeing to hear what he had to say he saw a picture of my wife on the counter and asked me if she would be joining us. I let him know that she would not and I would be able to relay any information to her as she has a very busy work schedule as well. He immediately let me know that he needed to call his manager and went outside to make the phone call. Upon his return he let me know that it's company policy that he could not give an estimate without both "decision-makers" present and that the office would be calling me to reschedule. When I told him I would appreciate the estimate information now since he was already at my home and I had accommodated the appointment time he let me know that the company's reason for not giving me an estimate was in case I was ready to buy today. I let him know that we were just in the information gathering phase and that regardless of us both being present it wouldn't matter but he insisted that his company and manager wouldn't allow it even though they had already wasted my time and his time. It is clear that this company is more focused on making a sale than helping customers or addressing their needs. If the process of getting an estimate from this company is any indication of how they do business I can't imagine what it is like actually working with and having these people in and out of your home for weeks. A very pushy woman named Helene Newman came to my house and after walking around, disparaging my fairly new kitchen cabinets, rejecting my suggestions, and generally acting like I was an annoyance to her, she told me her company doesn't give estimates - she would give me an exact price, but only if i agree to the work right now. She says if I don't, then the price will be several thousand dollars higher. I told her I am not ready to agree to anything today, and that nobody told me on the phone this was going to be the deal. She kept pushing, until I told her that I have to consult with my family, at which point she basically demanded I schedule another appointment so she can go over everything with my family. March 2022: I just called Remodel USA to come give me an estimate, I had no idea how much a new shower would cost, so i was just shopping around. Well we got the hard sell " buy now at this price or wait 3 days and price goes up like $5,000, wait longer and its about $10,000 more. I said no, i wanted to check around. My fiance got talking to the salesman though and got the price down a little and ended up agreeing to it. About a week later, i tried to cancel it. I didn't realize i only had 3 days and i had other things going on, so i just hadn't jumped on this right away. But by then i was past my 3 days and they said I would have to pay $7,000 (a third of total cost) to buy out of the contract! I don't have that kind of money to just throw away for nothing, so i was forced to go thru with it. I couldn't believe a company was forcing me to let them construct something expensive in my HOME! I didn't even know the details, as we had only seen the initial flashy sales pitch. I have a very small bathroom and need handicap access for my mom. Turns out they don't do handicap showers. Their "walk-in" showers actually have thick base that's 4" high, and 4" WIDE! Which is a pretty big stoop for a handicap person to try stepping over, plus it takes up ALOT of floor space in our tiny bathroom. The toilet looks scrunched into the corner next to this behemoth! The job was a disaster from the start. They hassled me to set an install date because my materials were "taking up space in their warehouse", then they were delivered and on day of the job, it was discovered they had completely ordered me the wrong stuff!!! So it was NOT my stuff taking up any space. Plus that was a day's leave from work completely wasted! Then 2 week delay to order correct stuff. Then the guy came to do the plumbing part so the install could be done separately (all separate times i had to keep taking off from work). The guy ran to Lowe's for some kind of pipe, they didn't have it there at that Lowe's, so he decided to just patch it "for now" so he could leave for the day by using some tubing and clamps. I woke the next morning thinking it was raining really hard outside. Turned out the gushing water i heard was because the tube popped off and there was now gushing water under my house!!!!! Who knows for how long because we had been asleep. Apparently that guy screwed up on a couple other jobs too after that and was fired a few days later. I wanted an inspector in there to check for water damage under my house. They sent a worker for the next stage of install, saying he could "inspect it". Not what I asked for, and not what should've been done about their mistake, but they convinced me the wood under there was just wet, not damaged, so I let them carry on. Fast forward a few other delays, and i now have a gigantic shower that, with that thick, wide base, looks more like a gym shower stall than something nice for someone's home. Its huge and seems unnecessarily bulky. Not at all what I wanted. Not at all what I needed for my mom. In hindsight, I should've gotten a lawyer to get me out of the contract. It would've been alot cheaper than now having to pay for this gym shower in my nice, pretty bathroom. UGH!!!! Advice: Anyone who says they will charge you thousands of dollars more for the same product just because you take a few days to shop around and think about it, avoid them! It is a horrible, ugly sales tactic meant to pressure you into a quick sale, and that right there tells you everything you need to know about the company using it. read more

I'm afraid of breaking the key off in the lock! Second, during contract negotiations, we were told that we would be able to get 90 days same as cash financing. Well, AFTER the door was installed, we get a call from the finance company, stating that we were NOT eligible for the financing! OK, fine. We wanted to pay it in full anyway (PAY IN FULL, meaning NO financing at loan shark interest rates). They didn't want to do that! We've been getting the run around from these scammers, trying to find out where we can send the payment to PAY IT IN FULL! Word to the wise, leave these bunch of con artists ALONE. read more

Initially I wrote a good review, even if the price paid and the quality of the work did not completely satisfy me. In May the crystal mirror installed by them fell, fortunately in the middle of the night, no one was there. But it damaged the sink and a lot of damage to the floor. After I don't know how many phone calls I managed to talk to a manager and after 3 months and many phone calls and messages, they fixed everything. But instead of replacing the mirror with the one I bought, they bought a $ 26 one from Home Depot. I am very surprised to read these reviews but I am glad we didn't see this before we worked with Remodel USA. Our entire experience with Remodel USA has been fantastic. We put our name in for a free estimate at the Herndon Festival in June. We were contacted immediately to have someone come out, but I never felt like I was pushed or harassed. We had already had a couple of contractors come do estimates for our projects and Remodel USA came somewhere in the middle - neither way too high or unrealistically too low. Once the initial salesman, Sean, came out to see what our ideas were he gave us a general estimate. After we agreed to take the next step, he then brought in Patrick and Dan, the sales director and the contractor/engineer, to do a formal estimate of what our total project would be. We redid two bathrooms and the kitchen. This included moving plumbing, walls, flooring, cabinetry, etc. It was a HUGE project. Once the contract was signed and items picked I really liked that what we agreed on for the price was guaranteed. I knew if we ran into any other problems (and of course we did) the price wouldn't skyrocket up. Gary and Oscar were the contractors who worked with Dan, the engineer, to bring our vision to reality. They were courteous and efficient. Most importantly, they were respectful of our time and space whenever possible. We have a dog who is very territorial and they made sure she got a chance to see and smell them - EVERY DAY. Also, I have a child with special needs who gets nervous with loud noises and change. They were very understanding and made sure to tell us when they were going to do something that might upset him. The finished projects have blown everyone away! Everyone who comes to our house compliments our new kitchen and bathrooms. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the work done! I would recommend them again in a heartbeat to anyone and everyone! read more

I was clearly annoyed and tired after working all day and sitting trying to have you convince me to sign on the line at 10pm at night - he also told us to buy a new garbage disposal because the old ones don't tend to work with the new kitchen, knock on wood, it's been 1 yr and we still have the same one (I did tell him to just buy since he was accounting for my $) - when our work was finally scheduled to begin we got notice that our salesman was no longer working for the company (should have known) - they mistakenly threw away my dishwasher, although I specifically said we were keeping it, but they did replace it!! Believe it or not our biggest issues came once the work was completed. - We had to have them come back because the cabinets weren't even. There is no way they didn't see it!!!! - If that wasn't bad enough there is an area of the floor that needs to be adjusted due to something (seems like a nail) protruding from under the flooring. We made several calls, leaving messages on a voicemail that we later found out didn't belong to anyone. We finally spoke to someone (after having to call them back) and was told that we'd hear from a contractor. Approximately 2 - 3 weeks later we scheduled an appointment for 3 more weeks later. The day of the appointment, there was NO CALL AND NO ONE SHOWED UP!!!! The number that we had was going straight to voicemail. I reached out to the customer service manager and she informed me that the contractor resigned and gave less than 48 hours notice, she didn't even know we were scheduled. It seemed like she really thought I was going to be sympathetic, but I was too angry for that, especially since schedules were rearranged to be available for the appointment. If that wasn't bad enough she told me that she couldn't even reschedule our work because they have to hire someone....WHAT!?!?!?!? At this point, I feel that this review, and the one I may do for the BBB, are my only recourse. They already have their money, if I don't pay it is a negative against me and won't affect their business at all!!!! BEWARE! BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you want to loose money and get really bad work and service. I've had a kitchen done with this company a year ago and I'm still waiting for them to fix several issues. It was a nightmare at the start. It took them over 5 months to finish a very small kitchen. They used some scammer contractors who kept asking for money each week. They did everything wrong. After we complained several times, they then removed those contractors and brought in a new crew which these two guys tried to rectify the deal. We still have cabinets that aren't completed with missing hardware and un completed cabinet drawers that don't close completely. The vinyl floors they put in are now breaking apart. The only great thing was their electrician (who's a separate contractor), his work was done correctly as he had to come in and correct the scammers bad wiring system. I've been calling the company several months to have these things fixed and they keep saying we will have someone contact you. We did have a gentleman name bill come out and looked at the issues and he said he will contact his supervisor, and we've yet to hear from either. They did reorder the items that need to be fixed (cabinet drawers, doors,) and sent them to us and they've been sitting in our garage for months now awaiting to be installed. Meanwhile we have to pay for this very bad, bad, bad work on a kitchen. We went with them after 3 quotes because they said they use quality products and have a very good warranty and great contractors. Which at this point don't seem to be true.
