I wasn't needing any "new to me" furniture, decor, or jewelry. But you know how that goes. This place is large in square footage. Stocked with gently previously owned furniture, home decor, and jewelry. The furniture quality is outstanding. The kinds of pieces solidly made not shoddy. The styles range from mid century, cherry wood Asian themed, modern farmhouse,and contemporary. So many styles. The pieces are staged in showroom type setting making everything eye catching, so much so I caught myself mentally doing a home makeup over in my mind. Hubs even found a framed lithograph art print of 1984 Laker Kareem Abdul Jabar by LeRoy Neiman. Then I happened upon the jewelry section. Letting out a big sigh, I luv looking at jewelry. They have beautiful pieces and some high end brands such as Rolex and Piguet watches, Tiffany. My eye was drawn to the vintage art deco jewelry set (necklace, bracelet, and earrings) of gold and lapis. Very unique. All the jewelry looked to be in excellent condition. The woman working the counter had a great attitude, so fun and easy to talk with. She entertained my gawking and questions. Not pushy in pressing a sale. Plus she was knowledgeable.

Customer service is readily available if you need it. It is nice to be able to meander however without employees breathing down your neck. This is a very big store. Things are well organized and in great condition. So many items from indoor/outdoor furniture, artificial plants, couch pillows, mirrors, framed art, and seasonal decor (see Mrs. Clause:)). There is also a Fine Jewelery section which you typically do not find at a busines like this. Setup like a department store... you may view the jewelry items under glass. Value? Well, the things I am typically looking for are artificial plants like a cactus for my patio or for an indoor area I am trying to refresh. They are extremely reasonable as opposed to Target or Home Goods. From reading the reviews, customers have found some nice items. Next time you are cruising through the TJ's parking lot and have some time on your hands consider a walk through this fun and interesting store. I contacted 4 estate companies in the Sacramento region for an estate and Affinity was my favorite so far. Being a remote home owner whom inherited an Davis estate suddenly, having someone who is both careful and understanding to try to rehome vs trash out my aunt's prized but mundane possessions is very comforting. The other vendors weren't bad at all they just lacked the time, insurance (omg!) Coverage, or personal touch that Pam and her team are pitching. I'll update my review once we actually do the estate sale, but from my experience with corporate franchise Grasons in Orange county and the local vendors here, Affinity is a solid mom & pop type operator in the estate sales field.

I purchased an item that had a sticker indicating it came with two pieces. I admit I should have read it more carefully before leaving and paying but after realizing the missing piece, I simply went back to ask about it hoping to there to be no misunderstanding once I came back to ask. She was immediately dismissive, frustrated, and raised her voice as I asked. She insisted she only charged me $2 for the item. I brought back everything I purchased and explained that I had calculated the total and believed I had paid the full price. I remembered she had written down each item's price while calculating, so I politely asked if she could double check the transaction. Rather than taking a moment to look into it, she refused, ACCUSED me of hiding items, and claimed I shouldn't have taken one piece of they were supposed to be together in the first place. I wasn't asking for anything for free I was only asking for clarification since I technically paid for two items. I was honestly caught off guard by how dismissive and disrespectful the interaction became over a simple question. Even if there was a misunderstanding, I don't think anyone deserves to be spoken to that way and unjustly accused/blame.

Martin didn't get there til 7, by this time we started our own sign up sheet since he didn't provide one. Got into the sale, picked out items, and at checkout was told what he didn't have a credit card reader after all. It was clearly displayed in his advertisement that credit cards were accepted. This was a very pricey sale and since we didn't want to walk around with that much cash, we only had cards to pay. We had to leave with nothing. Hours wasted. I will never be back to an estate sale by this company. Even after he told us he didn't have his card reader he didn't tell anyone else (approx 60 people in line) and all those folks were probably also surprised. Poor communication/not the way you do business!

I'm guessing they have a "not sold" contingency that helps the bottom line. Don't bother, unless you're willing to pay Chairish.com prices at an estate sale. The items I wanted, I was sure, couldn't really be $6 each for a placemat. Additionally they weren't intact, but were unique. I decided, if that was the case, at half off it's about what I might pay at a normal estate sale. I asked the person taking money in the garage if $6 was the price per mat even with flaws. She discounted to $5 then half off which still falls above your previous claim. It was eye opening to see the level of price gouging. I had been told "Burns is the most expensive in town, which is why they get the high-end (greediest) clients" So, say what you want, I came, I saw, I reported.
