Service is always fast and food is consistently great! Great pizza, bolognese and salads.

It's really good. I wouldn't hear with my aunt and she loved it. Pizza was very good and she like that and I had penny vodka.

I don't recall how the decision was made to try Remo's other than the boss found it. Walking in to R's I got sort of a nostalgia from some of the NYC Italian restaurants. It is clear that everything was kept clean and a lot of pride goes into their work. There were only a few other guests there that evening so we were greeted and seated immediately. Overall, the service was great and it was consistent. We had a really great server who took the time to explain some of the more popular dishes on the menu. As you would expect with any resto serving wine, the server poured a tasting first for approval. The menu selections were what you would expect from an Italian resto so no complaints there. However, there were limited vegetarian selections and if you do not like eggplant (like me) your only option would likely be a salad or cheese pizza. If you are vegan, there are no options unless the kitchen will work with you to make something special. Regardless of my disgust of eggplant, I decided to give the eggplant parmigiana a try. WHOA! Hands down, the very best eggplant parm I've EVER had. Rather than the huge snotty cross section of eggplant, this dish had the eggplant cut into thin slices, individually battered and fried, and stacked upon each other - OMG square! I'm keeping R's as one of the top restaurants to revisit and I'll be having eggplant parm dreams until then. I'll definitely be back with my coworkers, friends, and family and I recommend taking yours, too. read more

Leading up to today's decision for finding a place to eat in pre-celebration for my youngest daughter's 20th birthday, she decided to go to Remo's. Having been a patron for the third time, I will say this is a great place, though the seating is sorta close, wiggle room for movement, the atmosphere was unlike any other. I love Remo's pizza! Back when the country was free and away from COVID-19, we would always stop at Remo's pizza before going into Hudson. I highly recommend the white cheese pizza. It might be a stretch, but if you add a little bit of honey on top of that pizza specifically from Remo's, I promise it wouldn't disappoint. Great service and respectful environment. read more

This is a pickup/delivery review. I've been dying to get a new go-to pizzeria since Doppio continued to disappoint thanks to its pretty terrible service. Luckily, I tried out Remo's and I'm never going back. It's quick delivery and pickup, and the pricing is more "Stamford" than "Greenwich" if you catch my drift. While I've only tried the margherita pizza and the mozzarella fritta, I can say both are excellent. I'm sure I'll be trying out indoor dining when things return to a more normal state, but I'm extremely happy in the meantime with Remo's. read more

Very good brick oven pizzas, and the BEST eggplant parmigiana I have ever had!! All the food comes out fast and fresh, takeout is super fast too. Amazing marinara sauce, don't miss it. We always order extra and fight over every spoonful! read more

This place has been in Stamford for a long time and has photos with famous people eating there. It's more like a pizza shop than anything, although they do serve other dishes. It's not really some place you go to drink, although its a short walk from the bars if it's early in the night and you want to get something in your stomach before you go out. It's also walking distance from UConn if a student wants something good to eat without breaking the bank. read more

Great food, terrible service. The employees at the front that answer the phone are incredibly rude. For dining in, it is a great process. To get food delivered it takes 2+ hours when they say 40 minutes, with no notice of when it is arriving. I have been called cheap by management for not giving a tip over 20% after waiting 2 hours for food. I used to eat here once a week, with the ongoing issues I will be looking to order food elsewhere. read more

Remo's is an amazing dine in location. Hilario is by far the best server I've ever had and he's always there for lunch which makes the visit even more special. Amazing food. Owner and staff were amazing! Went above and beyond for our family! They even made fresh meatballs for us and froze them for our flight back to SD! And the cannoli's!! Best I've had! Well worth the drive!! can't wait to come back. read more

I ordered take out from Remo's for the first time tonight and received a 1.5 inch wide slice of broken cheesecake, which cost me $6. When I called to complain the owner offered a free dessert next time I come in, instead of a refund. He said he could not issue a refund because it would require taking down my credit card information. (This sounded like a really poor excuse. Surely they would have no problem taking my credit card information via phone if they were charging me for something). I was given no proof of my credit for the free dessert. He was obviously counting on me never coming in to claim it. Only when I asked him to deliver the free dessert to me tonight did he offer to credit my credit card which took all of 30 seconds. read more

First, turn on some air conditioning please. We were slowly roasted inside this resteraunt. I started eating here last year and pizza is my favorite. The last two times I ate here my crust was undercooked and they decided to save money by using far less toppings on the pizza. The service is always good but the food quality has suffered greatly. I usually eat here twice a week but scrimping on my toppings and refusing to cool off the business is not the key to keeping customers happy. read more

LOVED this restaurant!!! My girlfriend & I were driving back from PA to RI & wished to stop in Stamford for an easy & delicious dinner. She landed on Remo's via Yelp & truthfully it was SUCH a find. SO much could've been off based on us quickly & randomly picking an Italian eatery on a Saturday night while driving into our destination in the heart of a lively downtown. Remo's was SO unexpectedly wonderful from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm & bustling, clean, loads of white tile, open kitchen, & run by people that are ACTUALLY Italian!!! We cruised in close to 7 where the hostess didn't flinch, gave us a reasonable wait of 15 min, was given the option of a table near the rear entrance earlier if desired, was then offered fun seats @ the counter for less time as well. The staff was efficient & professional. We had multiple hands tending to us the entire time. Bread & olive oil came out speedily. Our calamari was delicious. I modified my dish w/o any incredulousness from our waiter just confirmation (penne w pink vodka sauce, w sausages & a side of broccoli rabe sautéed w garlic & olive oil = my version of heaven). My girlfriend had the most ENORMOUS serving of chicken Parmesan that got mostly wrapped. (Oh & my serving was massive too.) Dessert looked delicious, but I stuck w decaf coffee after all that succulent FOOD! Would recommend to anyone. Would go back in a heartbeat. Dearly wish it was closer. read more

Flavor-wise I'll give Remo's 4.5 stars, but texture-wise a hard 1 Star. It would be really cool if what was on top of my pizza would stay on top of it once I pick it up a slice. Had a personal mushroom pizza. it was very good and mushroom filled. Ordered three pizzas for a birthday. I picked it up within 15-20 minutes and they had the pizza boxed and bagged for me to carry out. First pizza was a plain cheese. Second pepperoni and third was a bunch of meat (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and meatball). The guys loved the meat pizza and I loved the plain cheese and pepperoni. Decent size and crust as well. Great pizza, very good Italian dishes. Very strong downtown location in the center of town. A great place to meet up and hang out with friends. A bit crowded, a little on the noisy side, but it's all good. Nice service, easy parking in back with a rear entrance. Part of the friendly downtown dining ensemble that is lower Bedford Street. Must a couple minutes from the mall and Landmark Center, its an easy place for dine-in or take-out. Their classic Neapolitan pizza is just right, price is right, location is right, enjoy. read more

I am not familiar with Stamford CT, so I can't compare it to local restaurants. However, I have been here twice before and their food is really good. The first time I came I had eggplant parm and it was very tasty. My friend had a chicken parm hero and liked it a lot. The second time I had a customized pizza of pepperoni and fried eggplant. It was delicious! (They seem to be known for their pizza, that's what most people were ordering) My friend had the chicken parm and penne vodka. That was also pretty good. The place itself isn't the most fancy place, could use a little makeover but the service is good and the food has been delicious each time I came. I'm a huge pizza lover and my dad referred me to Remo's. I ordered the cheese pizza and broccoli rabe. The pizza was good just the right amount of sauce and cheese. And the personal pie was bigger than I expect. However, I did wish my crust was crispier. The broccoli rabe was great I hate that I love this stuff, due to how much oil is used to cook it. I squeezed the lemon wedge and that made it even better. I will be stopping here to eat next time in town. I'll just let them know well done for me. TIP: Parking on the main road can be a headache, due to the allotted time. Park behind Remo's in lot or parking garage for more time. read more

We have been ordering from here even before we moved to Stamford. Their location is right in downtown, prime area to meet and hang out. The location is spacious and inviting, very family oriented. They have a limited beer menu, but you are on bar row, so this is a non-issue, get the wine anyway. The food though! Anything you order is good. Salad, pizza, pasta, grinders, dessert, everything we have ordered is amazing. Highly recommend the veal remo, penne a la vodka (get it with chicken, or veal) or their meatball grinder. But after waiting on the phone for 10 minutes and repeating my order, phone number, address and anything else 2 -3 times, the hostess decided that they were too busy to take our order and told us we should try somewhere else. Only ordered delivery. So this'll be a short one. We will return for house service. I just moved to CT from NYC and one of the things that I feel I miss the most is the accessibility to amazing food. Fortunately, pizza's a thing here in CT so I figured many places are good. Remo's was the first we tried. We ordered through the website: a classic caesar salad (we requested dressing on the side but it came tossed in so minus points on that), and a custom NY style (we didn't pick a style so assume this is their default) and ordered it margarita style with sausage, garlic and mushroom. They have real deal Italian toppings to choose from like broccoli rabe and I think plenty of signature pie choices. The pizza was smokey.. I guess it had a bit of that burnt coal oven taste to it. I guess that's how they do it here and granted it was delivery (which was fast, estimated 30 minutes but got here in less time) and got a bit soggy but overall was tasty and a crafty, culinary pie. Remo's is one of my favorite pizza spots in Stamford not named Colony Grill. The prosciutto pizza is hands down my favorite but you can get any pie here Naploetana style so it has fresh mozzarella and fresh basil is an amazing touch and gives beach pizza a whole different feel. The salads are great and they also do large orders for catering. We used to order from here twice a month for the whole office and there were never any leftovers. If you want a great traditional pie, Remos is your place. read more

Was recommended to Remo's by a number of my co-workers. I'm sort of a Pizza snob but Remo's definitely passes the test. Their Chicken parms and Eggplant parms are also solid choices. My biggest complaint however, is the service. Sat down at the location 4 times now and each time the service could have been MUCH better. With that said, I never avoid restaurants for service and Remo's pizza and sandwiches are solid. So set your expectations and go there. read more

Just moved to CT from LA and my husband and I FOUND it, the best pizza in Stamford! We were having a lazy weekend and we're looking for comfort food and only saw Remo's from walking by. With a tiny dog in tow, I immediately asked if the patio was dog friendly and unlike 90% of the other restaurants in Stamford, they were! Yay! We ordered a Napolateno pizza and the Gorgonzola cheese bread- and fuggedabout- it was the best pizza and app ever! Can't wait for a return visit! read more
