Got delivery from here and I was pretty happy with my experience. Portions are very generous and there are definitely some good dishes here. Here's what I recommend: - mozzarella fritta. This is like mozzarella sticks with their own Remo's twist. Their mozzarella is SO FREAKING GOOD. I don't know if they make their own or where they get it, but it's the kind that strings on when you try to take a bite :33 - italian chicken tenders. They have the same kinda breading as the mozzarella frittas, but the chicken tenders here are SOO tender and amazing... but very greasy. You'll know what I mean when you feel your heart slowing down after gorging them down - buffalo chicken wings. Saucey and good. Get this if you're craving wings. - chicken remo and chicken parm. Anything with pasta, they PACK the container. If you eat a whole dinner serving, be prepared to die from immense food coma. Also good meat portions! Definitely would come here again! I really love Remo's. It has a genuine Italian feel about it. I've eaten here several times, mostly for the pizza which I find excellent - fresh ingredients and a delicious crust. One of my other favorites is the grilled calamari - you can find ordinary deep fried and breaded calamari just about everywhere, but this is something special. read more

Remo's is a really cute downtown restaurant with outdoor seating in the spring/summer. Everything I have had is good so far! The pizza is great - I've also enjoyed the chicken parm grinder and a grilled chicken sub. The sandwiches are large, definitely a sufficient meal on its own. The pricing is standard for downtown food for pizza and sandwiches, the salads are a little pricey, especially if you build your own. However the build your own option is a nice, rare feature. Decent place. Ran in for a quick sandwich and had the grilled chicken. Chicken was nice and moist with lettuce and tomato and a hard Italian-bread type roll. Sandwich needed something - some sort of dressing, maybe Italian dressing because it was kind of dry. Pizzas looked good and the place was very busy at lunch when I was there. Generally being a thin crust hater, I had my doubts about Remos, but after eating here, I can pledge my fanhood. I've eaten here/ ordered twice and love the atmosphere of the place- big windows that let the sunlight in, fun music, and a friendly staff that make you feel welcome. I recommend the cherry pepper pie- a pie with multiple types of cherry peppers that rivals the cult following of Colony pizza in Stamford. My sister and I actually prefer it to Colony- less greasy and way more flavor. The garlic shrimp pizza pie was pretty bland- I don't recommend it. The eggplant parm is great and today I'm ordering the caprese sandwich and zeppole (fried dough with powdered sugar) which I'll post comments on too. Caprese sandwich was good, the bread was soggy from the olive oil, so less next time would be better. Zeppole is good, wouldve paired nicely with coffee too. I'm demoting this to 3 stars since I've had two mediocre entree items (shrimp garlic pie & caprese sandwich) and three great items (cherry pepper pie, eggplant parm, and zeppole). I've had the pizza and it is delicious. They're super generous with the toppings as well. Whenever I have pizza like this, it's usually in a small Italian restaurant (in NYC) but Remo's is so roomy! Miss Remo's so much!!! Used to live in downtown Stamford for a few years and would come here a lot preCovid then switched to takeout/delivery (I was pregnant at the time). Dine-in service was always great and loved the fresh bread/oil they give you. Takeout/delivery was always so fast and hot! They always said an hour but usually 20 minutes the food was ready. Margherita pizza with mushrooms was always our usual order and their meatballs. Loved their Gorgonzola bread! So delicious. Remo's and other local businesses are my excuse for Stamford day trips since we no longer live in the area ;) read more

I have eaten at Remo's a handful of times, and each time I've left very full and satisfied. For the atmosphere and quality of the food, it is a great value. Their homemade bread and own olive oil is a great way to start every meal. The staple brick oven pizza is a must try, the salad options are fantastic and pasta dishes are full of flavor. All meals are served with eye pleasing presentation and I've yet to experience anything but a pleasant staff. Good place with outdoor seating, that for me already upgrade the place and the experience of eating here. And if it is summer, and it is the weekend, most likely you will find me here! And when the food is great, and the place is so nice, I can easily spend few hours here. And this brings me to my problem that I may sometime have. I may stay long, because I like to enjoy the food, but what I don't like is when they make me feel that they want me to leave, since there are people waiting. And I want to make it clear, I don't just order coffee and drink it for hours, I order, and a lot. Ordered a pizza and bit in to it to find a sticker from a lemon underneath the cheese. Called to get my money back and they insisted that it "must be a piece of basil" I said no it's a sticker that says lemon on it. Also, individual size is perfect for anyone who is hungry and a decent eater :) The spaghetti and meatballs were subpar, the chicken parm was not good, and the veal remo was drenched in grease and it was served over arugula which was drenched in oil. A very good casual pizza place close to bars. Spinach pie is solid. Salads are very filling... I cant believe I just wrote that. I'm not sure the wine is stored properly. Reds are too warm. First time eating at Rome's and it was BAD.... On 5/21/2019 I stopped in for lunch. I ordered their Lasagna it was HORRIBLE.... the meat was pale in color no flavor, the noddles where GUMMY.... The lasagna was shaped like the letter U... and they had sprinkled a little Parm cheese on top. I will never return... and if I know someone that's wanting to eat their I will share the AWFUL experience I had. After using yelp to figure out where to eat while on the road for business (way more than I would like), I am writing my first review. From the minute we sat down at the bar and were greeted, to the moment we walked out, it was a first class experience! Fantastic bread, a glass of Super Tuscan ($9, which turned into 4 glasses) and a conundrum- veal parm or pizza? My co-worker went with pizza, I went with veal, with a Caesar side. My food was fabulous, he said the same of his. What really made me write this review was that one of the owners (I pulled him aside because I was so impressed with his attention to detail and chatted for a few minutes- he said there were 3 owners) was so hyper-focused on the food and service being spot on. I watched him check every single to go order and lovingly pack and fold the bags so that everything arrived home safely. He felt one bag and noted that a salad had been put on top of a warm meal and tried to redo the salad, but the customer said no worries. This is what food and the restaurant business is all about. Talented staff, great food and attentive owners- a simple formula but one that most do not get. I have to work in the AM, but will be getting pizza to import back to NH. Lightly cooked and uncut, ready to throw on the stone when I get home. My only regret is not getting the names of the owner and bartender :( read more
