Loved this place. Growing up in NYC, I appreciate a good pizza. After moving to CT, I couldn't find a decent pizza anywhere. We stumbled across this placed by accident and we couldn't be happier. The staff is extremely attentive and the food is amazing. We traveled to Italy last year and this is the first time we found a margherita comparable to that in Rome. Reliably really yummy food! We live nearby so it's our go-to Italian place when we want something on the nicer side of things. Their pizza is great, I would recommend the four seasons so you can try the variety of toppings. Pasta is really well made as well, the penne alla vodka is a huge portion and really tasty. A group of 3 of us went here on a Saturday afternoon craving wood fire pizza. We ordered: margarita pizza, margarita with portobellos and prosciutto and finally the white clam pizza. All three were delicious. The ingredients in the margarita pizza were so good I wish I had skipped the extra toppings on my pizza. The crust was baked perfectly. Remos is my favorite pizza place on Earth! Yes, I said Earth. Moving to Norwalk, I have tried to find something equally as good and can not find it anywhere. That doesn't stop me from making sure I get my Remos fix once a week though. Yes, once a week! I should be an honorary member of Remos at this point with the amount of money I spend there. They should honestly have members rewards or something to earn free pizza because as I stated, I spend a lot of money there. The sauce is amazing! Maybe that's what makes the pizza so good. Maybe they order their water from NYC or something... I heard that's the trick to most places that have divine pizza; importing NYC tap water. I swear that's a thing! We moved here in 2013 (June) and it was one of the first restaurants we tried. On that first visit, our server was no doubt having a terrible day and our service was so bad, we didn't come back for awhile. So glad we gave them a second chance as it's one of our favorite restaurants today. We live in downtown Stamford so it's convenient, the food is always wonderful and I'm pleased to say, the staff go above and beyond on each of our visits to make it pleasant and enjoyable. I have been ordering Remos for the past four years and there were many weeks I ordered two times a week. Lately, my experience has been going downhill. I reached out because I ordered a salad and there was a hair in it. I even sent a picture. No response. Tonight, we gave another chance, the antipasti had bad meat, the prosciutto was a dark color, the salami tasted bad and it was all hot. Not sure why antipasto was hot. The pizza was burnt. I won't even try to reach out since I don't receive a response. I would have recommend Remos in the past, but we will start trying elsewhere. read more

Visited Stamford on a whim from OC, NY, with my toddler in search for dinner on a rainy Saturday night. Delicious pizza, clean space and friendly staff/owner(s). I'm giving a 5, but the counter girl and/or girl who answered the phone was extremely rude with a lackluster personality both when I called with questions and when we came in hours later. Had a great experience ordering takeout from Remo's a few weeks ago. Ordered a Margherita pie and a tossed salad. The salad was one of the best I've ever had from standard-issue pizza places. Fantastic! We went here for dinner with a big crowd on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy, but the staff seated us immediately. Our server patiently answered our questions and made good suggestions. I'd never had grilled calamari, so I tried it and it did not disappoint! Served on a bed of greens with balsamic dressing, it had a wonderful smokiness and was satisfyingly chewy without being rubbery. The mozzarella fritta starter got thumbs-up all around, too. My main of eggplant parmesan came with a side of pasta in pesto sauce (!) that was delicious, creamy, and hot. A fellow diner's main of shrimp scampi came with several, surprisingly large shrimp. Another fellow diner's veal parmesan was gone before I could get a photo. We ate outside and when it began to drizzle rain, our server extended the awning so we were still able to enjoy our meal. My one criticism is that the shrimp scampi came out much later than our other mains. That said, this is a welcoming, authentic place and I look forward to enjoying it again! There are so many good things to say about Remo's. Every Italian place downtown has their own style and no two are alike. Remo's is consistent, predictable, and most importantly: delicious. Their take out and delivery is awesome, and sitting down, they are one of the more timely places. It's easy to get in and out on a lunch break. The salad's are all quality, and a wide variety of pizza styles offered. I don't want you to know how good their delivery service is. They typically arrive earlier than expected, and have the friendliest drivers. If too many people find out about this, it may impact how fast my food arrives in the future. :) read more

(Mussels, Calamari, and Fried Mozzarella) Plane slice much better then the rest, perhaps overloaded. Sauce on pizza wasn't nearly as good as marinara from apps. Chicken parm was basic. Not thin or crispy enough, sauce bland, not enough cheese and not well done enough. I'd like to give them another try but too many better places to go, maybe on a rainy day if I get stranded nearby. Absolutely love it here! Definitely a very consistent and solid place to grab some food for either dine in or take out. Their entrée sizes are great, and I always end up leaving with leftovers! My favorite pizza, which I make sure to get every time is definitely the classic margherita pizza which has the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce, and the crust is always thin and crispy. Received some gift cards to Remo's from a generous soul recently and finally had an opportunity to try it out several nights ago. After dining in, I understood why Remo's was the restaurant of choice for our gift cards. It is GOOD!! The restaurant was pretty empty on a weekday night, with about 3 occupied tables, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets busier on Fridays and the weekends. Upon seating, we were given our bread basket containing room temperature Italian bread with an extremely soft and fluffy interior. We opted for the grilled calamari appetizer, which knocked my socks off! The only complaint I have is that there weren't enough pieces to go around! The calamari were fairly large and charred to a point where it wasn't blackened, yet possessed smoke and tenderness that leaves you wanting more. We ordered the linguini with white clam sauce as well as the pasta bolognese for entrees and boy were they delicious and generously portioned! The linguini was topped with towers of clams, evenly distributed with every bite. The pasta bolognese was flavorful and also topped with quite a lot of meat. We ended up doggy-bagging both dishes to go and they were still good the next night :). Can't wait to try their pizza and other pasta dishes. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the week. The service was efficient. I got the Cobb salad which was good but missing the avocado that was supposed to come with it- house balsamic was good. My colleague had the Mediterranean salad which looked delicious. Quite a few salad options if you're looking for something lighter. So so so hard not to order pizza because the place smells absolutely amazing and the pies looked perfect. Wonderful simply wonderful. I've ordered delivery several times. Tried almost all their specialty pizzas all are delicious. Favorites are the shrimp & garlic and the clam on white pizza. Meatballs & Ricotta are heavenly. Big portion for an appetizer. The eggplant parmesan is also a favorite, again it's a huge portion. As for service it is impeccable. Delivery food is always hot and on time. I once made a mistake ordering on-line and when I called to correct it, they were VERY gracious and fixed my order without an excuse or complaint. Remo's Neopolitan is the margharita pizza with fresh basil, mozzarella, and tomato sauce pizza. The crust was crispy on the bottom. It's the BEST pizza ever! Better than the ones in NYC. It was so good, I ate the whole pie. (Individual pie is ~10" but seemed bigger.) Coffee is Lavazza. I had a cappuccino with my pizza. Good cappuccino. Our waitress, Julia, was super nice. The staff there is amazing. Everyone works as a team to get the food out quick. read more

I usually ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto sauce for to go. It usually cost around $13. Today, they charged me $16, and the $16 price stay even after I told them I paid $13 in the past for the same thing. They said it is because of pesto sauce, and they said they didn't raise the price. I am unhappy with them. After I posted my complaint above, Remos called me and left a voicemail to apologize and willing to make it up for me the very next day. It seems like they do care about their customers and reviews. Even I am too lazy to call them back or make a trip to get my money back, their attitude is worth a compliment.
