I deducted one star from my rating because, if you value your sleep, be aware that the walls are extremely thin. You can hear your neighbors talking, snoring, laughing, coughing--any noise they make can be quite irritating when you're trying to sleep. I recommend finding another place if you're looking for a peaceful night of rest. However, if you don't mind the noise, feel free to book here. On a positive note, the rooms were clean when I arrived. I did find it odd that the bed sheets were not tucked in on the sides; they were left dangling. One might assume the housekeeper was particularly tired that day, but it was just unusual to see the sheets untucked. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and the room itself was spacious. The beds were comfortable. If you complain about the noise to front desk, they will send security to talk to the person making too much noise.

Overflowing toilet in the lobby- about sums up the level of service at this hotel.

Nicely appointed property in a great part of town. This hotel had by far the worst management I have ever seen and it's amazing they manage to stay in business at all. From the check in process, to the broken AC in my room, to moving rooms and fighting for the removal of the free breakfast that was part of my reservation, this place is for the birds. On top of that, they charge you a $35 destination fee and give you half off in the form of food or store credit. My family and I paid top dollar to stay here for the weekend and received motel 6 like customer service. I say avoid this place at all costs. I have already reached out to Bonvoy as well as hotel management and shocker- have not heard back. Avoid the headache.

Although the hotel is currently undergoing a renovation it is still a very nice hotel. Although there may be some inconvenience, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel is perfectly situated by the Seaport and they have plenty of dining options. The hotel staff have been excellent to work with. The check in staff was quick and efficient and the concierge had been great with suggestions and help. We like this place!

Its a big meh! Location? Great, amazing. I tried using the room phone to call valet it told me my call cannot be completed. I called the front desk they said the same thing. However someone did call me back so they must have known that I called. When I checked in this young lady with short hair helped me she was the sweetest. She had great customer service, and when I needed assistance with valet she didn't just send me over there she literally walked me over and handled the situation with me. She was such an amazing help throughout the night, kudos to her and whoever hired that staff because they were all amazing. Add a view of the water, which I would have to say was an amazing view however I would hate to think that there's anywhere here that you could have that you won't be looking at something eventful or beautiful. They do not have a store which is typical for Marriott, but they do have complimentary toiletries if needed. There is a restaurant on the first floor for the right of the lobby. I didn't get to eat there but it did seem pretty busy when I walked by so I'm not sure what the deal is I can't comment on that. They also have a Starbucks, so if you're a coffee lover and regular Hotel coffee isn't cutting it for you. There is an option for you, I can't speak for every room but I can speak for mine and I did have a coffee maker with ample coffee ample condiments in the fridge. So at the very least you can wake up and make your own, giving my assumption that every room has the same amenities. When I tell you location is key this is like dead center of Seaport you have the seaport Science Center across the street, and a ton of restaurants within walking distance. The Wharf is literally just one block up. Seaport Boulevard, which is the most active is that the same spot one block up. I mean you can't go wrong here I guess, the customer service is excellent. I cannot keep mentioning how my favorite part is the park across the street. They have benches and lights. This hotel also includes valet just in case I didn't mention, and they are the nicest people as well. All in all I can't say you can go wrong here, except for the whole phone thing. Other than that everything here was pretty good. Oh the other thing is, the lighting in the bathroom is pretty dim and low but the lighting everywhere else in the room is very high. However there's no other mirrors in the room it's only in the bathroom. So if you're a woman that does makeup, it is definitely something you have to figure out. They do have valet im not sure how much, but it's available. There is also street parking but it is by meter, I wouldn't suggest that because Seaport is a very busy place. At night you may have a chance, but I'm not sure what the daytime situation would be like.

4.5 stars - Lovely hotel and in a super convenient location. It's about a ten minute walk to the Boston convention center, And 10-15 minutes walk to the Seaport Park where there's shopping and retail stores. The staff were very efficient given we arrived the day before the Nike Boston Volleyball Festival. There must've been at least ten families in line ahead of me as I waited to check in. But it moved quickly and there were three hosts behind the desk. Kudos to the luggage and package Porter that managed so many pieces in so little time on the check in day and check out day. I mean, dozens of people waiting on their valet, the Porters and the lobby staff but it moved. Also kudos to the evening coverage staff that allowed us to mingle and hang in the lobby/lounge area well past midnight. The games ran long and the hotel seemed to be bustling through the wee hours. Good job. One morning at 4:30am, my poor kiddo was running a slight fever and I needed to buy Tylenol in the lobby store. The front desk clerk was so hospitable and quick to help me given the wee hours of morning. Much appreciated. The hotel room we got was pretty spacious for a family of 4. We had a good sized bathroom with the best shower! That shower had some great water pressure and the controls were easy to handle. I also appreciated how quickly housekeeping delivered my extra towels request (there's never enough towels in the room as we're a family of four and they usually only leave three full sets at any given time). We had a nice long desk to work on, a fridge, coffee maker, armchair with a foot rest and two double beds. It was very clean and this visit we didn't request in room cleaning but I did meet the staff in the hallway and they were really sweet. Steps to a bunch of popular restaurant chains and what a view,! Totally recommend.

Exceptional is the only way to describe this hotel! From the check-in, to the location, to the interior decorations, and the quality of the room, to the service everything, was top-tier! I stay at this hotel on layovers when I'm in Boston and since I'm a flight attendant, we are really particular about where we stay. We spend about 90% of our time away from in hotels, so it's really important that not only are the hotels of a good quality, but that they meet the requirements necessary for you to feel comfortable somewhere that you spend more time in than you spend at your own home. The Renaissance Boston Waterfront left nothing to be desired. When you enter the hotel, you're immediately met with impressive 20 foot ceilings, beautiful decorations, a concierge that shows you everything that you need, and several on site restaurants. There's even a Starbucks attached and a small club/bar area. The pool is exceptional as well as their fully state of the art gym. I spent a lot of my time exploring the hotel. The rooftop deck is really really nice, and the on site restaurants are not only inexpensive, but the food is of top quality. I wish I stayed longer than two days because I don't feel like I took full advantage of everything the hotel has to offer. One of the other great things about this hotel is that it's centrally located to restaurants, the waterfront, as well as shopping and a walking trail. There is also a park directly across the street as well as an aquatic museum a couple of blocks away. I ate breakfast at a restaurant nearby and I was able to order takeout from the same restaurant as well for lunch. The coolest thing that I've ever experienced at the hotel is that if you have an order for pick up, they'll bring it up to your room if you request it. I only did that one time because I felt bad having a concierge come upstairs, but they had no issue with doing so. I can't wait to stay here again!

Let's start with the staff. AMAZING on every aspect. Every single staff interaction from check-in, valet, and security were so very personal. They offered great conversation snd food and transportation suggestions. The hotel room was big and the bed was comfy. It would have been much better if the TV was mounted on the wall. It's too parallel to the bed for comfort viewing. Also be prepared for the $30 DAILY destination fee. You will get a food credit which forces you to use their restaurant, Starbucks or La Carte items. Since the hotel is close to the airport, the plane noise had me up at 5AM As far as parking goes, there is a $40 a day right next door. You can't go in and out.

King Room with Sofa
Alan B.

Our check-in was fast, friendly and efficient, and we were provided a room on the 20th floor, commanding a great view (see pics). The room was large and adequately furnished with a king bed. small sofa, large desk, bureau, closet, safe and fridge. There was plenty of space for a comfortable reading chair, which was unfortunately absent. The bath provided a walk-in shower and was in good condition, though the fan didn't work, an ongoing theme for many hotels. There was a Yelper comment about the HVAC being sensitive, shifting from AC to heat rapidly, which can be an issue if you don't like a cooler or warmer room, meaning it's hard to get it just right. They charge a $25 Resort Fee which can be used for food, drinks, Starbucks, etc. This is a new Marriott policy, which some might find annoying, though it's easy to spend that on incidentals. The lobby is attractive, and the Seaport location is excellent. The Seaport is an emerging area, arguably it has emerged, with many new buildings, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Valet parking is available, or you can self-park in the garage next door. Our Uber to the New England Aquarium arrived in 3 minutes, and it took about 10 minutes to arrive there, mainly due to lights. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and think this hotel deserves better than the current 2.5 star Yelp ranking. We think it rates a solid 4 stars from our perspective.

We stayed at this hotel prior to our ocean cruise. It's centrally located near the wharf so there's lots of restaurants nearby. Everyone was very friendly. Our room was spacious and nice and the shower was perfect. We also like the towels better than most places. We ate breakfast and the food was really good. My husband and I each had a breakfast bagel and you got to choose your meat. It came with potatoes. Too much for us to eat we should've shared. We also got a large bowl of fruit, which was great. Their coffee was good and everybody was friendly.

Clean rooms. Beautifully decorated. Friendly service. Walkability: Close proximity to harbor and nearby shopping and restaurants. Hotel has a restaurant and attached Starbucks. There's an automatic $30 amenity fee charged to your stay that can be used for the restaurant & Starbucks.

Hotel is huge. It's in a great location because it's near the Airport across the bay. It's also, only 7 min walk to Cruise port; pier #21. It's also, opposite pier #21, is the Reebok sneaker factory Outlet which does sell to customers & Cruise employees w/discount. I took a Lyft 10 mins to downtown area Summer St or Arch St, where you'll find Macys, T-Mobile, TJ Maxx, etc, Food Court, Chinatown etc However, now that I gave you a pre-view that your close to everything even a very expensive Steakhouse across from hotel . The per day price-range is $150 to $250, it has a nice gym, a large pool ‍ so bring ur swimsuit or swim trunks . Omg, a Jacuzzi I didn't have time to enjoy. It's really a beautiful hotel, and I will stay there again. The staff was helpful and friendly, but if you're moving to slow for the cleaning staff/ housekeeping then you will return to an unclean room & un-made bed & trash still in trash bin. I was leaving to start my day, and housekeeping came earlier than I expected. So, she ask if she should come back in an hour, hahaha . I returned twice & room unclean. I didn't think nothing of it at the time or I would've called down to front desk to remind them my room wasn't cleaned. By the time I returned at 8pm the staff had left for the day. Shocking! The problem I really had was the stained Ottoman in my room. I sat there, relaxing then saw that a stain on the Ottoman that was possibly semen or something. Yuck . I always cover the chairs w/a Towel but I was so tired, & the fabric pattern was so nice it took a second to notice. So, beware of what ur sitting on. If these things hadn't happened I would've given 5 Stars It's a quite hotel, it has a restaurant & also a Starbucks in the Lobby area near the lounge sitting area. I recommend this hotel.

Gala Dinner
Jenny T.

Hotel was really nice, modern, clean. Love the location and ambiance, servers and cleaning staff were generally friendly as well. Bathrooms were bright and clean, smelled fresh. However came here for a gala dinner and food was VERY MEH. Nothing stood out to me really, except the coffee -- the server however only came around once to my table, he should've come back because people may want more than 1. I liked the appetizers though that were served before the event. The margarita was good as well.

The staff was so helpful, very kind. The room was clean, and the hotel itself is well kept. Parking... ok so there is valet right at the front, they said $70. But there is a self park right next to the hotel and it was $45 for over 24 hours of parking. It's a bit of a walk if you have a ton of luggage, so you may want to drop all your stuff off out front before you self park. Easy to pay online, the hotel can help you do that!

Our stay at the Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown was a complete delight! The hotel was modern,…read morespacious, and clean with barely any noticeable flaws. I will highlight key points below: Room: The room was very spacious and offered a giant bathroom with big stall shower. There was a chaise lounge for relaxing, as well as a desk with a comfortable chair. Instead of a lame coffeemaker, the room included a Nespresso machine. The bath products were by a company called Apoteke from Brooklyn and seemed high-end. The television offered live TV and access to various streaming services if you entered your logins (supposedly deleted after checkout). The room was relatively soundproof from neighbors and outdoor noise. Plus, everything was spotless! The only issue was the bed, which I found lumpy and uncomfortable. I was not sure if there was a feather topper or something, but it felt like I was lying on a mattress full of crumbled tissues. The pillows were fine, though. ROSE Town Kitchen & Bar: I did not dine here, but heard the breakfasts were good. However, I was there for evening cocktails and was impressed with the vast list of beverage options. The Temperature Rising with Ghost Blanco Tequila, Chinola, lime, agave, and a tajin rim offered a great blend of heat and sweetness. The sprawling dining room and large bar made the place very comfortable. The second floor location offered a great view of the park across the street. The bar staff was also excellent. Front Desk: The check-in/out services were easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted every time we returned to the hotel. Convenience Store: The lobby offered a small convenience store with snacks, beverages (including alcohol), Boston merchandise, wellness items, and more. Social Hour: I am not sure if it happens daily, but there were a few evenings during our stay where they were offering complimentary spring rolls and High Noon/hard lemonade in the lobby from 4-5 pm. Fitness Center: The 24-hour gym was huge! It offered a variety of cardio machines (3 Pelotons, tons of treadmills, 1 recumbent bike, 2 ellipticals, and 1 rowing machine), medicine balls, kettlebells, 1 set of weights (could have used more of these), 2 benches, yoga mats, and a strength station. They also had cups and a water cooler, as well as a lot of space to work out. Location: The location was spectacular if you wanted to see some of the touristy sites. Within close walking distance were some key attractions like the North End, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, Boston Public Market, and the Seaport area. Parking: They offered valet parking for around $55-$65 overnight, but we self-parked in a lot a block away for $40 a night. There were no in/out privileges, however. Aside from the bed, I thought Canopy was amazing and definitely one of the best hotels I had stayed at in the city.

On the surface, this hotel presents as polished and upscale, but over time it became clear that it is a full-on Monet--looks good at a glance, but the closer you get, the more issues appear. During my stay, I was required to move rooms three times--once voluntarily after an upgrade, and twice due to serious maintenance issues, including a sprinkler-system flood. In subsequent rooms, I experienced repeated heating failures, inconsistent hot water, and even a shower head detaching during use. The heating issues were ongoing and never fully resolved. On multiple occasions, my room dropped to 66-67 degrees despite the thermostat being set to 80. Even after maintenance visits, the room never consistently warmed beyond 75 degrees. On the morning before my departure, I woke to cold air blowing again, confirming the problem persisted through the end of my stay. Management follow-through was disappointing. Promises to check back or assist were not kept, and communication was inconsistent at best. While beverage credit was offered, it did not come close to addressing the cumulative disruption, lack of rest, and stress caused by ongoing room issues over nearly seven weeks. The saving grace of this hotel was the weekday bartender, Rebecca. Monday through Friday, she greeted my colleagues and me with genuine warmth, professionalism, and grace after very long workdays. She was consistently excellent. Unfortunately, that level of service was not present on weekends, and our group ultimately chose to avoid the hotel bar until Rebecca returned. That said, I do want to acknowledge Shirley, Wendy, James, and Nate, who were consistently kind, professional, and helpful, as well as the valet staff, who were always efficient and courteous. This hotel may work for a very short stay if expectations are modest. For long-term or extended stays, however, the operational issues, lack of follow-through, and inconsistent hospitality do not align with the image or price point the property presents.

Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. Later we discovered dirty sheets. We requested our entire bedding be changed the next morning and the rest of the room be serviced as well. We came back to the room and the bed was changed but none of the room was cleaned so we headed back down again to request cleaning. We were told it would be cleaned the next day. The staff were apologetic and we didn't have any issues with them. Breakfast is served downstairs and the gentleman was overseeing the area for cleanliness and refills. He did a great job. Breakfast was basic but good. We are quite disappointed with the lack of cleanliness so for that reason we won't stay here again.

For high tea, family members and I visited the Four Seasons hotel for the second year. It's become…read morean annual tradition right around Christmas, at various locations like the Taj and one in the seaport area. This visit was exceptional in pretty much every way. The environment was beautifully decorated for Christmas, like last year, and I had to take some pictures to have as desktop wallpaper on my computer. We had a very nice time and the selections on the menu were impressive. I went with the carrot cake chai black tea, mainly because it had pumpkin pie kinds of spices and vanilla rooibos. It tasted wonderful, like an autumnal tea, and all our teas came in beautifully decorated tea pots, apparently from Australia. The Four Seasons also does this interesting thing where they give you a liquor that fits with your tea order, to be added if you wish or drank by itself. I had a sip of mine and from someone else's, a bit strong for me but a bailey's one was alright. I'm fine with just tea myself! As for the food, this year's high tea was one of the best I've had. The menu was different from last year's, which was great too but in my opinion this seemed like an upgrade. Some of the food items included pieces of salmon in a little pastry, mini lobster roll, peking duck crepe, curried chicken croissant, a beautiful deviled egg, vanilla bean and brown butter scones, an eggnog tart, and a Santa hat shaped raspberry pastry. We even got some alternate options for a lactose sensitive person, so that's a great plus as well. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, and the service was great. The Four Seasons high tea was a very special holiday event, and comes highly recommended!

So we didn't stay at the hotel but we had breakfast there. We absolutely loved it…read more Inside is elegant and beautiful. I love coming here. Service was too notch as well as the food, you will not be disappointed. It's pricey but that's to be expected. It's worth it.
