As diamond members, we've seen it all, so trust me when I say that this hotel is special! Very nicely decorated and makes you feel like you're in a Boston hotel. The staff was so helpful, very kind. The room was clean, and the hotel itself is well kept. Parking... ok so there is valet right at the front, they said $70. But there is a self park right next to the hotel and it was $45 for over 24 hours of parking. It's a bit of a walk if you have a ton of luggage, so you may want to drop all your stuff off out front before you self park. Easy to pay online, the hotel can help you do that! read more

Our stay at the Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown was a complete delight! The hotel was modern, spacious, and clean with barely any noticeable flaws. I will highlight key points below: Room: The room was very spacious and offered a giant bathroom with big stall shower. There was a chaise lounge for relaxing, as well as a desk with a comfortable chair. Instead of a lame coffeemaker, the room included a Nespresso machine. The bath products were by a company called Apoteke from Brooklyn and seemed high-end. The television offered live TV and access to various streaming services if you entered your logins (supposedly deleted after checkout). The room was relatively soundproof from neighbors and outdoor noise. Plus, everything was spotless! The only issue was the bed, which I found lumpy and uncomfortable. I was not sure if there was a feather topper or something, but it felt like I was lying on a mattress full of crumbled tissues. The pillows were fine, though. ROSE Town Kitchen & Bar: I did not dine here, but heard the breakfasts were good. However, I was there for evening cocktails and was impressed with the vast list of beverage options. The Temperature Rising with Ghost Blanco Tequila, Chinola, lime, agave, and a tajin rim offered a great blend of heat and sweetness. The sprawling dining room and large bar made the place very comfortable. The second floor location offered a great view of the park across the street. The bar staff was also excellent. Front Desk: The check-in/out services were easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were greeted every time we returned to the hotel. Convenience Store: The lobby offered a small convenience store with snacks, beverages (including alcohol), Boston merchandise, wellness items, and more. Social Hour: I am not sure if it happens daily, but there were a few evenings during our stay where they were offering complimentary spring rolls and High Noon/hard lemonade in the lobby from 4-5 pm. Fitness Center: The 24-hour gym was huge! It offered a variety of cardio machines (3 Pelotons, tons of treadmills, 1 recumbent bike, 2 ellipticals, and 1 rowing machine), medicine balls, kettlebells, 1 set of weights (could have used more of these), 2 benches, yoga mats, and a strength station. They also had cups and a water cooler, as well as a lot of space to work out. Location: The location was spectacular if you wanted to see some of the touristy sites. Within close walking distance were some key attractions like the North End, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, Boston Public Market, and the Seaport area. Parking: They offered valet parking for around $55-$65 overnight, but we self-parked in a lot a block away for $40 a night. There were no in/out privileges, however. Aside from the bed, I thought Canopy was amazing and definitely one of the best hotels I had stayed at in the city. read more

I have zero complaints about my stay at the Canopy. It's the second Canopy by Hilton property I have stayed in (first Baltimore, MD and now Boston, MA). Hotel check-in was easy. My room was clean, spacious, and bright. I enjoyed my cocktail, appetizer, and entree at the onsite Rose Town Kitchen & Bar restaurant. I booked the Standard King room with points so I did not have to pay extra the $18 or $19 destination fee which includes a $15 or $18 food and beverage credit. There is a filtered water and ice machine on each floor. Your room includes a glass jar to fill up with filter water. There is a fridge drawer to chill your beverage or store your leftover food (no microwave in the room and Im not sure if the property has a microwave available for use). Great location in downtown Boston around the corner from Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the Boston Sign, and Boston City Hall Plaza. Right across the street is a segment of the 1.2 miles Rose Kennedy Greenway with swings and water feature. You can bring a blanket and spread out on the grass, pack a lunch or dinner and enjoy at one of the table, or just enjoy the sway if you are lucky to snag one of the swings. Don't forget to link you Hilton Honors number to your reservation to earn points and use your benefits. Sorry, not one of my better stays at a Hilton property. Allow me to hash out my usual pros and cons for this property. Pros -Excellent location. Short walk from the North End, Long Wharf, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and the Haymarket stop on the T. -Attentive and kind staff. -Rooms are spacious and clean. Cons -Walls are paper thin. I could hear everybody and everything. There was a dog barking non-stop for close to an hour at one point. -Terrible water pressure in the shower. -Little to no hot water in the shower. -Pillows are lumpy and plush. -Rooms are very stuffy. I think I will stick with the Marriott Long Wharf or the Marriott Courtyard Boston North Station for future visits despite me being a Hilton Honors member. read more

This place is the best! We came here for our 47th wedding anniversary. The bellman was very helpful on checkin. Trevon upgraded our room. Then after checking someone brought up a carafe of wine and some chocolate and a hand written note from the staff. They give you two free tickets to "view Boston" from the prudential tower. They are located right next to Quincy market You really MUST stay here it is one of the best hiltons we have stayed in. The shower it designed really well. The toilet is raised. The towels are five feet long! Seriously. This is my new favorite hotel. read more

The Canopy by Hilton did not disappoint! Located in the North End, the Canopy is right in the thick of the best places - Mike's Pastry, Carmelina's, the Aquarium, and The Freedom Trail. It is easily accessible by the silver line (free from the airport - to the south end stop) and a 15 minute walk. Check in was easy and friendly and even though we arrived early at 1pm - they had a room ready! And the room - AMAZING! My favorite part was the coffee bar in the room. But the stunning bathroom, chaise lounge, and filtered water were a nice touch too. I scoped out the workout room and discovered that they have three peloton bikes and plenty of other equipment. They also have a restaurant on site. Though the prices seemed a tad high for the convenience. I'm so excited that we chose this spot to spend three nights and I'm already plotting my next trip to Boston! read more

We stayed here for one night while we were visiting Boston. The hotel was clean and modern. Front desk staff were very helpful. Valet was a bit challenging as I'm accustomed to valet attendants waiting outside to assist, hence the surcharge. Instead, I had to go in and inquire for valet assistance, a bit disappointing, especially since it was raining outside. This was my first time staying at the Canopy by Hilton Boston Downtown, but it won't be the last. To start, it's in a GREAT location in the North End, steps from great restaurants, bars, and Faneuil Hall. I usually stay at the Ritz over by the Commons, but after staying at the Canopy, I prefer the location here over the Ritz (and the price point can't be beat!). The check in experience was a breeze and the hotel also smells SO GOOD when you walk in. The front desk team was friendly and got the process completed in no time at all, which is always appreciated. I booked a King Premium City View room and for a city hotel room, it was really spacious with an open closet, really large bathroom, and a great space with a Nespresso and glass water jug that you could take to the filtered water fill station, so I loved the green initiative as well. The bed was incredibly comfortable and despite the hotel being on a VERY busy street, I couldn't hear outside noise, so it was not only a beautiful room and hotel, but clearly built really well. The water pressure in the shower was also AMAZING and there was an open shelf under the sink, which is great for a toiletry bag without having it on the actual counter (it's the little things and attention to detail that does it for me) AND they had super comfortable hotel robes, which I'm a sucker for. The bed was incredibly comfortable too, I slept HARD for the 3 nights I was there, which is a rarity for me in hotels. The gym was also massive with 3 Peloton bikes and a ton of treads in addition to a really well appointed weight room. I was easily able to hop right on the Peloton - there was only one other person in the gym during my hour there! For it being a gym in a basement, it was also really well lit and incredibly clean. I ate at the on-site restaurant Rose Town and came for drinks each night of my stay. It's beautiful with a large bar and a TON of seating, plus as a bonus, they had the huge windows open the first night, which made for a really nice ambiance. The first two nights I loved my visits - I always sit at the bar and had a delicious panzanella salad and fries along with a spicy tequila cocktail, Temperature Rising, and a solid Sauv Blanc. The bartenders were awesome and the food was REALLY solid as well. The third night I wasn't feeling the vibe of the crowd so just got a glass of wine to go back up to my room and hang there instead, so I think the crowd can be really varied. The Canopy will 100% be my go-to for future stays in Boston, I genuinely enjoyed my experience there! read more

Very centrally located to the tourist spots, this was a fantastic hotel to stay in for my brief visit to Boston. I arrived by Amtrak from NYC, took an Uber to the hotel, and was delighted with my spacious and comfortable room. I took several walking tours of the nearby historical sites. If you'll be here Friday or Saturday, Farmers market is right outside the front door, which is awesome! I have kids. They're my life now and everything revolves around them, especially vacations. This hotel is in a great location. It was minutes to the North End and the aquarium. Its backyard is Boston Public Market and Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall. The viral cop slide is close also. We enjoyed the city view and the valet service was easy enough. Each day we explored Boston so we did not get to use the in hotel restaurant or exercise facility. Personal preference, but not a fan of the bathroom sliding barn door that newer hotels have utilized. Where's the lock? The service was a bit odd. On our first day we were one of the last rooms to be cleaned, after 4pm. When it was time to check out there was not a luggage cart available for over an hour. My first inquiry was with the front desk. She said if no carts were around the corner then none were available. 30 min later I used the app chat function and again nothing was available. In the end I took two trips to carry everything into the lobby. Finally a cart was available to carry everything from the lobby to the car. It's not a cheap hotel. An apology, offering to have someone come get my bags, or saying they would find a cart and bring it to me eventually would all have been better responses. read more

Within walking distance to the Italian district and Boston monuments like Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere's house, etc. I stayed during the week but the city was alive, there was even a farmers market right next door! The hotel itself is fairly new. I had no real issues with cleanliness except for the water machines (canopy is a brand known to have free water available to fill water bottles) had calcium build up and was probably not a part of the housekeeping to do list. My room was at the end of the hall, was very open and had good views of downtown. Choose a premium room and get slippers ! Staff was pleasant and quick to respond to questions via text. Ok guys, here's the scoop on this Hotel . It's a trendy hotel with all the amenities, even has a wheelchair lift , but if u enter through the front u can just roll on in. The staff is impeccably nice & welcoming. We felt comfortable staying here. Also, the rooms are huge nice decor & very clean I have serious allergies & I didn't breakout at all. I had a very good nice sleep here. Halls r quiet too, not noisy. Idk about my friends, but my brain got a chance to relax & recharge. Ohh the doors included braille for the blind. We came for the July 4th weekend 2024. Ohhh, ur like a 5 min walk to Quincy Market that has all kinds of foods & north of the hotel, only 1 block away is Little Italy where u can get some good Italian food & restaurant workers do speak Italian for the Italian visitors. Let's not 4get the Italian pastries . Yum ! Also, the MBTA-Green / Orange Line is only 1 block away to take u to Government Center or Park St the stop u need to get to for the "Famous Cheers' sitcom. This trip we got a chance to go to "Cheers"; Finally. I recommend this Hotel bc it's a very nice hotel & and Great location to get around Boston. FYI: Only, if needed the Boston Hospital is 3 train stops away @ Science Park on MBTA - Green Line or take a Lyft. Hopefully, u won't need one, but good to know. My sister surprised me with tickets to see my favorite team the Boston Celtics. We had awesome seats and my team won. I decided to find a hotel that was within walking distance of everything. But most importantly near TD Gardens. I had Diamond status for Hilton, so I was staying at Canopy By Hilton Boston Downtown. When we arrive on Sunday there were several out celebrating Saint Patricks Day. When my sister and I arrived to the hotel. The ambiance was so warming. The hotel scent hit me the minute. I walked through the gliding doors. The furniture was so comfy and hotel decor was beautiful. I was excited to see that the decor was also in our room. The front desk had qaulity customer service throuhg out our stay. Im glade I decided on Canopy by Hilton as it was in walking distance of everything. There were so many places to eat what ever your heart desired. My sister was moving like a snail and I was ready to eat around 3pm. But she kept texting back and forth with someone, who happen to be my 2nd suprised. It was my sister from another mother Monique. I hadn't seen Monique beginning of covid. We already decided that were were going to try Kala Thai Cookery. it was right outside of the hotel. It's very cute inside. It's about 7 to 8 tables. the ambiance was nice and the service was quick. All the dishes we chose came out pipping hot. if you like spicy that will be a perfect spot for you. i had the Tom Yum soup. it wasn't my favorite. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, cheese fried shrimp. We also ordered the basil fried with rice with shrimp and added fried egg on top. that was delicious and spice level (3 peppers). We also ordered the Char Kway Teow with shrimp, it was bangin and awesome spice level. We also ordered the crispy chicken wings, that were tossed in sweet and spicy garlic sauce. It was a bit on the sweet side for us. I would definately return. You must visit the Boston Public Market. There are several places to eat and enjoy. We decided to eat at Best Reds. It was banging. We ordered the Seafood scallop poorboy, fish & chips and freshly prepared calamari salad and a fish sandwich. We loved all of our dishes. Don't pass by Best Reds delicous fresh fried dishes. You have to make your way to through Boston Public Market. Also mabye 5 blocks up from Canopy is Modern Pastry's. They prepare your cannolis fresh in house per order. Also they take only cash. I couldn't leave without enjoying some of the perks that came with being a Hilton Diamond member. I recieved a $18.00 credit daily and my guest as well. The Canopy Boston Hilton has a resturant that has some of the best views of downtown Boston. The Rose Town Kithen & Bar. I enjoyed some banging pizza's, dirty martinis. We built our own breakfast sandwich, which was 2 eggs over medium with extra crispy bacon and white bread, my sister had the same sandwich but with gruyere cheese on wheat bread. My last stop before leaving Boston was James Hook. I ordered their large lobster roll with drawn butter to the side. To all my yelpers. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Canopy Boston Downtown. Stayed here Sept 2024 - Thurs to Sun. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to the North End, the Wharfs, green space right across the street, Bell in Hand, The Union Oyster House, Sam Adams Tap Room, Food Hall, etc. Easy to walk to a ton of places and easy to grab Ubers from. Our flight landed at 9AM and early check in is first come first serve, however, they were able to hold our bags for us until a room was ready (one of our two rooms was ready so they kindly moved all our bags to that room while we were out.) The rooms were standard size, plenty of space for our family of 4. No closed closet, there is an open closet concept that made it super easy to organize all our stuff. The drawer fridge was very handy. Loved the shelf built into the mirror in the bathroom, that freed up so much counter space in the bathroom. The floor to ceiling windows were lovely and the black out curtains worked well! Beds were comfy, and so were the pillows. We found the provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, and lotion to be lovely. This may seem trivial but my FAVORITE part was the fact that they give you a water pitcher along with your ice bucket. On each floor there is an ice AND water machine - so you are able to refill your pitcher with fresh water instead of drinking from the hotel sink. GENIUS! The design and aesthetic of this hotel is just stunning. Modern with rich colors, beautiful details, and fun decor. We had breakfast at Rose on the day we arrived and it was AMAZING. Our kids asked to go back everyday! They also had a complimentary cider and beer sampling on Saturday around 5pm (i think?) with nuts. We all said that we would happily stay here again! read more

When you walk into a hotel lobby and feel comfortable doing it, you know you're in the right place. The bright and vibrant decor extends all the way to the rooms where you are sure to be very comfortable. There are no squishy bottom tubs or cramped bathrooms here, large walk-in showers and plenty of room to move around. They clearly hold their customer service standards high and recognize Diamond members. Here you will also find all of the usual amenities, which I did not use since this hotel is so centrally located, it was a comfortable walk to all of the wonderful offerings Boston has to offer. Seriously such a safe and friendly hotel that I would definitely recommend. I was really worried that the hotel rooms wouldn't be very sound proof but they were absolutely fantastic. Couldn't hear much sound inside the room at all besides when people walked by our door. You can hear some noise if eating at the restaurant but that wasn't surprising since the wall facing the main road is all glass (great way to people/car watch). Waiters were kind and spoke to the restaurant staff about checking for gluten containing items. If you have celiac disease I would be careful as I was told that they couldn't guarantee no cross-contamination. The rooms were super clean and designed nicely. Our room was facing towards the alleyway but it was honestly still a great view. Overall I'd recommend this spot and hope to stay here again in the future when I visit. read more

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGES: Management Will NOT HELP I stayed at the Canopy Hilton in Boston this week, and it's been an absolute disaster. I booked through Booking.com, which clearly stated "Pay at the property." When I checked in, the front desk (who was actually kind and helpful) told me my total would be $547. I let her know my credit card wouldn't cover the full amount, so she kindly offered to split the payment: $500 on credit, $47 on debit. Great. Done. I thought that was the end of it. I was wrong. I woke up this morning at 5:30 AM to find a completely unauthorized $488 charge pending on my debit account -- the same card I had already used to pay part of the bill. The $47 charge had already gone through. I checked my credit card, and sure enough, the $500 charge had also processed. I went to the front desk in person and was told it was a mistake. The staff member apologized and said he would immediately delete the charge from my debit card. He seemed confused about why it happened but was polite and helpful. Within about two hours, the charge dropped off. I was relieved. Then hours later, another unauthorized charge appears: $487.94, a different amount than the first one. I noticed this around 4:30 PM. Now, my account is tied up with nearly $1,000 in unauthorized pending charges on a trip I've already paid for. This is not a hold. This is not a misunderstanding. This is either gross negligence or straight-up incompetence. When I called to resolve the issue, I was brushed off by someone who clearly didn't care or understand what was happening. I was told the charge was "just what I owe for the room," even though I've already paid. He refused to help and transferred me to a voicemail for accounting. No one takes ownership. I'm now stuck on my vacation with my money tied up because of a mistake I didn't make and no one at Canopy seems to care. This isn't some minor glitch. This is real money from a real customer, and there is zero accountability. Eventually, a woman from the front desk (not accounting, despite being transferred there) called me. Her "resolution"? She said she could fix the charges however I'd like but I still have to wait several days for the existing ones to clear. That means for the final three days of my trip, both my credit and debit cards are maxed out with pending charges. No room for anything else. Hilton, you need to step in and fix this. You're messing with people's hard-earned money and hiding behind voicemails and empty apologies. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm preparing a formal complaint with Hilton Corporate and will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. Everything that happened was due to their internal mishandling. The gentleman who helped me at 5:30 AM this morning resolved the original issue immediately. The man and woman I spoke to today, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, were both unhelpful. The woman kept repeating, "I understand," yet clearly did not, and told me, "There is nothing we can do. You'll have to wait until it clears." NEVER stay at a Hilton Canopy. NEVER again will I use Hilton after this experience. read more

Fantastic! From the moment we got there to the moment we left! We were treated so kindly by Diamond and Mickey. They went above and beyond from letting us use the transfer room, holding our bags and assisting us with public transportation, all with a smile on their face! Our room was cleaned to perfection and I really appreciate the cleaning crew. They respected our space without moving too much and cleaning just what was needed. I love the openness to the rooms and details too. Check out the wallpaper, cracked me up! I love the ability to exit the hotel from the front or the back entrance. Also valet, I highly recommend! Stayed with family in June . Fantastic hotel , highly recommended . Only complaint would be the rediculous amount of rainbow flags, flair, and virtue signaling . They even had a drag queen show with some degenerate in devil horns . It was 18+ but the advertising was all over the lobby and elevators . They had ice/water machines on every floor and a carafe in the room you could refill. The food provided for the conference was not good and very light almost every day. The hotel itself kind of gave me a headache in the hallways, the carpet and the wallpaper are so busy its overwhelming. I thought the beds and pillows were okay (very soft but there were plenty) but many on my trip complained they didn't work well for them. I think that is just personal preference. I would stay here again for a personal stay but would not consider it if I was planning a work conference/get together and needed to use their culinary services. read more

The craft pizza place! Instead of craft beer, enjoy a handmade pizza like no other (they do serve alcohol). There's a million cookie cutter pizza places in Connecticut, this one is special. Great staff. Unique. Made to order. Our favorite is the Marguerite pizza but we add Ricotta cheese to it. Delicious! read more

Great place! Stayed here for 1 night and enjoyed it. I'd stay here again, for sure. Parking at the garage on the next block was $42 per day, which is low to average for this area. Pros: Friendly staff! Awesome location! Nice room! Great bed! Cons: Feather pillows. The worst! I hate them, in general. And these were the usual -- soft and yet somehow hard. Why do people like feather pillows? Uselessly fluffy at first, and then terribly solid when squashed down. The shower had very low water pressure and took a long time to respond to changes in temperature. The water pressure would've been a major problem for me and my thick hair, had it been a hair-washing night during my stay. read more

I stayed here for one night and, all things considered, it was a nice stay. The Rose Town Restaurant is open, airy and had good service and food. The room was a good size, comfortable, and boasted a large picture window with a stunning city view. The breakfast at Rose was very good and enjoyable to the very last bite. The only negatives was the squeaky/noisy bed and the fact that they only gave us one washcloth - that's not enough for one person let alone two!
