Decided to go here for "Valentine's Day Lunch", and what a great choice! Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We had the Lamb Pops, cooked and flavored perfect, then bacon wrapped scallops and my wife had the Hog Snapper. All of it was tremendous! I recommend that everyone try this place out! read more

Rendezvous is a wonderful restaurant. I loved sitting outside on the deck for lunch the other day (Jan '26). The weather was cool but on a warmer day, they have large deck umbrellas as well as covered outdoor seating and plenty of inside seating. Parking is also complimentary in their private lot. Service was very good. They have a lunch menu separate from their main menu and they also have happy hour from 12 daily and breakfast starts serving at 9am. From the menu we ordered the fish spread which was very fresh but had a lot of cream cheese to make it a spread. The whole fried fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly The lunch portion of the blackened redfish was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. I think this is the perfect place for a romantic lunch outside to a nice place to take friends who come in from out of town and don't want the hassles of Las Olas or the beaches. read more

I have wanted to try Rendezvous for so long and i don't know how i didn't go sooner! Our first experience here was excellent! Made a reservation easily on open table for Saturday night. We sat outside on the patio which sits on the water at a marina. They do have indoor seating and indoor/outdoor bar seating! All the food was delicious and they had a HUGE menu plus a whole special menu! I can't wait to try happy hour and go back to try more food items! The service was friendly, however our server was a little slow and did forget several things such as extra sauce we asked for. Cute spot on the marina (definitely eat outside if you can). I saw a manatee float by which was definitely a highlight!!! They have a bar inside and outside. The have a really big menu, so much to choose from. If you like seafood they have mussels, clams, haddock, Mahi, tuna, crabcakes, shrimp, stone crabs, and more. For meat eaters there is plenty to choose from, lamb, turkey burgers, regular burgers. I ordered the tuna appetizer. The tuna was incredibly fresh and delicious. There were 5 very thin slices of tuna. It comes with a teaspoon size of seaweed salad! They often have good nightly specials too. Experienced waitstaff and nice atmosphere outside overlooking the marina. Went here for a catch up dinner with a friend who was staying g in the area. A little off the beaten path, this is such a neat spot. Ample parking, and on the water, with a fantastic deck. Unassuming from the parking lot, but then beautiful view on the water. Amazingly fresh seafood. The octopus is a must have. The grouper was super fresh and cooked perfectly. The asparagus was also very tasty. Our server was friendly and sharp. Only drawback was the several young hostesses at the front appeared first to forget to assign our table service (took a while for anyone to come out, then one hostess walked by and went back in quickly and a server came right out). This was our first time here. Located right in the water, it had a very nice view from our outdoor seating. Our server Chris was great and very honest and helpful with his suggestions. We started with the octopus and shrimp cocktail as appetizers, both of which were pretty good. Then we had the lazy lobster and the lazy lobster combo with the stuffed shrimp, both of which were delicious. We also had the crab cakes and bacon wrapped scallops, both of which were also delicious. Luckily we had room for dessert; the chocolate mousse and the key lime pie were very flavorful. Rendezvous in Fort Lauderdale was our pre-cruise dinner & did not disappoint. It's a little hidden jewel & not as heavily advertised. Its location is picturesque on the harbor with all the large boats in view. The tables on the outdoor patio would have been perfect had it not been for the heavy rain. Reasonable food, quite pricey and they scrimp on drinks. Got a good strong drink with a $5.00 double added, went back the next day and ordered the same and it was weak. Asked about It because it was noticeably not as strong for a $14.00 drink, response, what do you want us to do about it?Unfortunately they weren't smart enough to just remove at least the double charge or make a new drink so they get a bad yelp and I'm not coming back! Rendezvous is a hidden gem (although maybe not so much anymore, as I witnessed shuttles from the beach!) At a marina on the west side of 95 off of SR84. It is our go to raw bar and we love to take visitors as they have on the water, outdoor dining with a great view and menu that has something for everyone! Well behaved dogs are also welcome on the patio. The food is delicious and the seafood very fresh!! They have plenty for landlubbers as well! We love it!! We have never had a bad server either! Everyone there is excellent!! Laid back atmosphere, has an indoor and outdoor bar! I wanted to like this place so much! Beautiful setting, the boats, the water. We sat outside and the weather was spectacular. On a not-too-hot, glorious Florida sunshine day, this is the place to be! The staff is super-friendly, courteous, efficient, and cute to boot! I was the first to come and had to choose the table. When I decided on the table, I knew that one of my friends hates loud music, and I chose a spot that I thought was good for that. However, as the lunch progressed, it seems the music got louder, to the point we had difficulty hearing each other. I don't know why restaurants think that adding loud music enhances the experience, especially for a place that boasts peacefulness as one of its assets. Someone ordered a seafood dish. Out of a number of clams (tiny!), two of them had remained closed. Luckily, my friend knew enough to discard them. The fried conch was rubbery, some of it so rubbery it would have choked you if swallowed. Some of it was acceptable. May I give the chef some advice: Before applying the batter, put the conch in a pressure cooker (or slow cooker for a really, really long time) along with the sauce or marinating spices. Do not fry until that conch cries "Uncle!" Crab cakes were the best thing that we ordered. But the remoulade that came with it was the same remoulade that was served with the appetizers, and I was tired of the same taste by then. Think of something different to go with the really good crab cakes. You might want to serve them with an old fashioned tomato, or mustard and butter sauce, rather than a remoulade. And, for the Love of God, please do something about that men's room! It reminded me of a latrine in a school I went to in a third-world country. I'm writing this because I really want to come back to this place. Don't pass it over, maybe things will improve from here on. read more

I sat outside and got to enjoy the view of the marina which was awesome. Our server gave great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was everything I needed! Rendevous gets 5 stars again for a stellar visit the other night. We sat at the outside bar on this humid night and were served by Katerina who was fantastic at what she does. Personable, knowledgable and efficient- all the things that make a great bartender/server. I love that their menu is so varied- fish, meat, ribs, salads, and all of it is tasty and well prepared. My friend who was with me is a Grouper fan which is always hard to find on this side of Florida was really happy with his blackened red grouper. I started with the "Bang Bang Shrimp" which had 4 in the order and were tender and delicious! I also had the ribs on this visit and they were meaty and perfectly sauced up. And the full slab is HUGE so I've got plenty of leftovers! You also get a choice of 2 sides which includes all of your favs like french fries, rice, vegetables, etc. And the prices are reasonable. It may be a little hard to find (follow your GPS!) but once you get there, Rendezvous will please everyone in your party with it's perfect blend of drinks, food, view and service! read more
