Amazing find in Fort Lauderdale. It's right on the water with a view of the marinas and boat docks. Has a beautiful porch on the back of the restaurant in which to dine and I just love it. We ordered quite a few things, and all were enjoyable. I had the poor boy clam sandwich, it was piled extremely high with clams, and it was a very tasty sandwich. The crabcakes were extremely good and the rum drinks were delicious. The lobster roll was delicious. Our server, Michael was extremely good, and he very good care of us. The restaurant offers a complimentary shuttle service. DO NOT use it! They are late, they don't care, they offer an Uber and never request it. We waited for an hour to get back to our hotel. The driver dumped an old man, with troubles walking, off in a parking lot and gave him no directions as to how to get to the restaurant. My son ran back and showed the man how to get to the restaurant. That being said, the food at the restaurant was amazing as was the service. The clam chowder was yummy. Great Seafood! This restaurant was a fabulous pick. The location is good and the atmosphere is fun. The wait staff is really good--friendly and the right amount of attention without irritating you. And then the food is wonderful. We had the lobster pops for an appetizer. They were cooked to perfection with breading that was really done well. My husband had the fish and chips, which he said would have been perfect if they had more salt, so he did add that, but I thought the chips/fries were incredible. My stuffed shrimp was perfect. The shrimp were fresh and cooked just right, and the stuffing was really delicious. I couldn't eat all 4. They were huge. This was a great experience. Based upon the overall rating and its close proximity to the airport, I chose Rendezvous as my last hoorah this FLL trip. I get there, park but come through the patio door because I didn't see a clear entrance. Service was good when I got it but I waited at the hostess stand way too damn long. Had both a waitress and the bartender/waitress tell me be right there. Took flipping forever. I ordered a carbonated drink, calamari for an app ($16 overpriced for my Texan eyes) and lunch special of fish, shrimp & chips ($21). The older gentleman that brought me my food was very pleasant. He did comment that I was eating good which I didn't take offensively, I was just like company dime bro...company dime! Now the other issues is all that food was bland. It was hot but damnit it ain't have no seasoning. I added salt and pepper and that kicked it up a slight notch. The fish was haddock but I'm used to cod. The 2 shrimp were delicious as was the tartar sauce. The fries were not crispy enough and the Cole slaw was dreadful! Do you know what else was dreadful??? That damn bathroom, I walked in and walked right out. It's outside the restaurant and it's old and dingy. That pee went slap back up my urethra and I got the entire fck outta there. Idk if it belongs solely to the restaurant or not but man, they need to do something. Plus they don't have any paper towels just the air blowers which by now the whole world knows are germy and disgusting! Construction on the roads there so just be cautious on the way in. Plenty of parking on the side. While we did not eat outside, they are located on/in a marina with nice views of water and boats. Service was good and staff was friendly. We were a group of 7 and had to be moved a couple times to find an appropriate table for our party. While my Bloody Mary was impressive to look at, the taste was average. The lamb special however was very tasty and I'd order again. Seafood was fresh and sides were also tasty. The family and I popped in for dinner on a Friday night and Garrett took care of us. We had an awesome dinner and the service was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the sticky summer air which was perfect. For dinner the kids shared the coconut shrimp with fries and street corn. They gobbled it down. The dipping sauce was delicious- think pina colada it was tasty!! The shrimp were plump and cooked to a nice golden, moist, and tender. I enjoyed the clam chowder which was delicious, garlic bread that had chunks of fresh garlic on top, and the seared ahi appetizer. Everything arrived timely and was delicious. My husband ordered the blackened grouper and really liked it. It came with a nice fruit salsa that was tasty and added a lot to the dish. For desert the kids gobbled down an orange cake- I believe it was the sunset orange cream cake. It was great, think 50/50 bar, but as a moist cake. I highly recommend it. Despite being a few miles from the oceanside and adjacent to a major highway intersection, Rendezvous is waterside thanks to the massive canal network in South Florida. From the deck, you can watch the marina which today included a large number of dolphin moving about. We sat outside, so it was a nice show. Warm service and mostly attentive, our waiter stopped in often to check on our party and especially so since it seemed the five of us asked for one more thing each time he was here. More coffee. More creamer. Hot sauce. Salt and pepper. A fresh fork. Yeah, lots of needs. I chose the fish tacos and bumped up to three of them. Served with a big pot of yellow rice and black beans, this was a big portion. Presented nicely with a house-made pineapple salsa, it was tasty if perhaps a bit light on the fish. Still, delicious. I've been to Rendezvous several times, and every time I go, I like it even more. Rendezvous is tucked away off 84, and is a little pocket oasis on the water. Great place to kick back and enjoy the view. Their pina colada is probably the best I've ever had. Happy hour is 25% all drinks aside from bottles of wine and goes until 6pm. The mahi tacos and shrimp tacos are deeelicious! They always have some specials, so if you're looking to go all out with some high end seafood, you have options along with the main menu. The beauty of this restaurant is it's located right on the water and if you sit outside, you can see all the beautiful boats. Located off of Highway 84 in Fort Lauderdale it's the first right as you exit west from 95. It's actually located behind an old motel. Our reservation was for 545. Apparently the restaurant gets very crowded on the weekends and you must have reservations. We arrived on time and were told there was someone sitting at our table and as soon as they left, we would be seated 35 minutes later we were seated at a beautiful table outside with nice views of the boats in the water The food was very good, I had mahi fish tacos and they were excellent. They came to two in order with grilled mahi, a mango salsa and a side of rice and beans. My husband had the jambalaya and he said it was excellent and very filling. Our server Alexis was OUTSTANDING!!!!! Started with bacon wrapped scallops & seafood spinach dip. Holy crap! Only 4 scallops but worth it, as they were so fresh and cooked perfectly!! Wish it was made into an entree!! The dip was creamy and full of seafood...and the homemade tortilla chips complemented it well. For entrees, we had king crab and cold water lobster tails. The king crab was awesome - 1 enormous leg had to be more than 1lb!! So much meat that both people who ordered it had to take doggie bags home!!! The "1lb of lobster tails" came out as 3 great-sized tails!! I'd swear it was closer to 1.5lbs!! We had a variety of sides as each entree came with 2 sides and the 3 of us each got something different. Veggies were fresh and well prepared - they chef let the veggies stand out with the way they were perfectly seasoned! Planned on Key Lime Pie for dessert but ran out of room! Lol!! My sister kept raving about Rendezvous and finally I was able to meet her for lunch. On the water, looking at beautiful yachts, it's a lovely place to go and just relax. We both had the COCONUT CRUSTED MAHI - $17.75 -MIXED GREENS, ORANGES, TOMATO, ONION. It was AWESOME! The flavors of the coconut crusted mahi were perfectly matched, the fish fresh and moist. They also had a wonderful key lime dressing that was so good and delicious that you wanted to drink it! We have gone a few times since, with standouts being the mahi tacos with black beans and rice ($16.75) , and peel and eat shrimp for $12.75. The baked stuffed shrimp (special) was just ok. The frozen rum runner was yummy. It gets very busy, but the servers are good about checking on you and keeping your water glass full. This place was great! What a find! We are always looking for cute bars that have a water view, and usually end up by the intracoastal somewhere, right? Well... I came accross a review for this place and noticed it's near the FLL Airport, by Marina Mile! Duh- there's a huge waterway there as well and so, almost sunset time, we decided to go there for drinks. Great choice!! We chose to sit outside which is a beautiful deck right by the water, and even though the boats and yachts there were already parked and not going anywhere, the backdrop to our drinks was gorgeous. The drinks were equally good, by the way! I got the Cosmolocious, very similar to a Cosmo except this one was more delicious, hence the name change (lol ;) ) and he got a beer that was equally good and bountiful. He also got a bowl of clam chowder that disappeared before I could taste it... so I'm thinking it was "slurpable" - lol! Additionally: while I was ordering my 2d cosmolicious, he ordered the Mahi fish tacos (of which I had 1). They have a 2 or 3-taco portion and I was not hungry that evening... so we shared. No shame! Taste wise the fish was fresh and the tacos were delish and Big! Excelente! Service was impeccable as well- and each time the food and drinks were brought super fast which improved our fun night out. We always love to have seafood while on vacation and glad this restaurant came up as an option in Fort Lauderdale. It was a rainy day and we did not sit outside facing the marina, but it seems like a good spot to do so. It is close to the I-95 overpass, so you have to make sure you pay attention for the street to turn. Also, you have to go all the way to the back to the marina and it shares the location with the restaurant. We were greeted by the hostess and sat right away. We decided to stay inside and it worked out well. It is a bit small inside with a bar in the middle. It is cozy, nicely decorated and welcoming. Chris our server was friendly, funny, answered our questions and made good suggestions. We ordered the New Englad Clam Chowder, the Octopus Appetizer (special), the Conch Platter (amazed to have pieces of conch and not a big fried ball of dough!) and the Whole Stuffed Florida Lobster (special). Everything was fresh, made to order, tasty, flavorful, good portions and delicious! The lobster was sweet and cooked well, the garlic bread yummy, the black beans and rice tasty and the rosemary potatoes great. I use to live right here at Marina falls yacht club & Rendezvous was my goto every week. The snow crab legs here are AMAZING, not just snow crab but any crab, lobster, seafood in general from this place is so fresh & tasty. I couldn't get enough of this spot right on the water with big yachts all over, looks like a dream. The service here is great i actually became friends with a few of the waitress & bartenders. Absolutely 100% YES. I left Rendezvous Bar & Grill satisfied. The only issue is that I would love to "gatekeep" this restaurant; however, I just cannot. Lobster season means the freshest lobster ever, including the king crab leg. The garlic ciabatta is fantastic with the lobster and crab, and the Mexican street corn was interesting but paired well with the garlic bread. For appetizers, there is a large selection; however, the bang bang shrimp is a MUST, as well as smoked fish dip. I order this each time! The key lime pie is a great way to end the meal, and I wish it were a little more sour. The location is cute and hidden as well as the ambiance, located on a marina with parking available by boat or car, and the staff is excellent. I suggest sitting outside by the water!
