Absolutely delicious. I'm currently 8 mos pregnant and was looking for a healthy place to grab dinner because I'm too tired to cook but also didn't want fast food. Found this place so close to home. Small and cozy like interior and a nice outdoor patio with heating (that's where I sat). I ordered the homemade bread with honey and olive oil to start. For my main course I had the most delicious pesto penne pasta. There were nuts and olives in the pasta but obvi you can get it without them. I drank Chia Tea with rice milk. For desert I had the freshly made cinnamon roll. I had to get it to go because it's huge. I also ended up ordering a cáptese sandwich with tomota soup to go for later. Had the wonderful experience of meeting Renee last night. She, along with her entire staff, were a rare breath of fresh air. While the food was amazing we had the opportunity to see their outstanding customer service. We brought our 87 yo mom with us and she had some questions about her meal. Renee explained everything and, to our surprise, when we left sent us home with a complimentary replacement dish. But enough flowery review let's talk food. Wife had spaghetti, I had lasagna. Both were cooked to perfection and the flavors and spices were spot on. BUT definitely try the lemon posset light and DELICIOUS. Brought the bundt cake home to try as well as cheesecake which was uniquely yummy as they use goat cheese & cream cheeses which tones down the sugar but tones up the creamy. We've eaten at Renee's many times but this being the first time we had food questions we were blown away by the way they made us happy. read more

Evidently this place was featured on a food TV show or something. I ordered the calzone that the TV guy recommended - the one that's like an artichoke dip inside the calzone I think? Shame on me, because I should have known it would taste exactly like it sounded, which really was not good IMO. I mean, yes I like artichoke dip. But do I really want a calzone stuff full of the stuff? Evidently not. So I sent it back and got a different calzone. It was OK. It was improved with opening it up and putting some salt and pepper in it. I'd give these folks 3 stars for being A-OK. One extra star for not charging for the returned calzone. I'm going to give this place another shot later and see if I get something I really and truly enjoy to make it a solid 4 or maybe a 5. I really want to like this place. The food is amazing. It's comfort food made by a gourmet chef. The spinach dip is to die for. We love all the pasta dishes - the fettuccini Alfredo is as good as it gets. Renee's has also mastered takeout - the food is just as good when you take it home. The restaurant has limited seating but a very pretty dining room and during warmer months lovely patio seating as well. I wish I thought to take some photos but the food is too good to wait to eat! read more

We stopped in on a whim and were surprised by this find. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We have some odd dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate us. The food was excellent! We had a patio lasagna and a very thin crust pizza. Both were very flavorful and in particular the pesto was amazing. It looks like reservations are recommended but we were lucky and got immediate seating, regardless the place moves quickly and we had food with little delay. My wife and I went there a a handful of months ago. We saw it was local and it was featured on the food network. We thought how could we go wrong? We were quickly seated, my wife ordered some wine and they brought it over in a few mins. We ordered bread with olive oil and honey. This is where is started to go wrong. It took 45 minutes for the bread to get to our table because it got burnt, and they didn't tell us until 10 minutes before the next loaf was about to come out. So we sat there for 35 mins looking around wondering. The good news is, when it did get here it tasted amazing. Both sides of my family are from Italy, I'm 3rd generation American, i never once heard of having those two together, which I took that idea home and made the terrible dinner worth it. We ordered dinner, I got the pesto pizza and my wife got Alfredo. It took about 30 minutes for them to get the dinner to our table even though it was not busy at all. My pizza smelled great, and tasted great until I got half way done with the first piece. The nuts they had on the pizza were bountiful, and actually turned into too much. The pesto was the most solid 5/10 okay-est pesto ever. It's like if it came out of a can and you added some of your own seasonings to it (which they make it from scratch let's get that clear, def not claiming it's canned, just tastes canned). The sun dried tomatoes were okay, little over powering and cheese was also okay. I'd rank that as the worst pesto pizza I've had. They do their own twist on each menu item, which I like because they're challenging it. But it didn't work at all in this case. When it came to my wife's Alfredo, it was as she described it "I can see what they're trying to do, but it has an off flavor and makes it gross". I would agree with her in this case, the owner said they make the Alfredo fresh in the back, which I can also believe. But it was rushed and turned out awful. We returned the Alfredo, and the server actually told us it was rushed, which I don't understand. If we've waited almost 2 hours for a dinner total, I'd wait another 10 minutes to make sure the flavor is well, what they designed it to be ya know? At this point, we were done with Renes. I didn't want to bother returning my pizza. We almost left before dinner got there because we were tired of waiting. They apologized and the owner offered our money back a few days later over the phone. The last thing I recall is that our server would disappear for like 15 minutes at a time. Other than that, just avoid all the other food and order the bread, olive oil and honey! read more

Not sure I'd go back for the price and the food. Now that I saw review from owner- I will not be returning. I did not get large amounts of salsa Fresca. I was not told to ask for toast or pita on the side. So what you're saying I did not get. Now i won't be returning. I thought the owner would invite me back to actually give me the salad the way it says it's prepared and worth the price, but no- owner does not rectify situations here. It's unfortunate, I studied nutrition and appreciate good healthy options, but for someone to get a to go order spend 15$ for a meatless salad and not get all the stuff, and get zero compensation. The Tossed Salad was pedestrian and hope from previous experiences with 'organic' restaurants the salad would contain some exciting ingredients than your basic, cucumber, tomato, greens, etc. The focaccia was what stood out the most - very tasty and satisfying, but something was missing from the overall sandwich. It needed additional spices, like ground pepper in the worst way. Small portion of chicken, but was satisfactory. Busy place. Service was impersonal. I love it when servers don't introduce themselves (being facetious). There was one server who walked around with her down like she didn't want to bothered. My server Renee was pleasant, but you got it right, I had to ask what her name was. Typically, in an upgrade establishment the server introduces themselves. Was surprised didn't happen here. I seriously believe this restaurant calls itself 'organic' simply because they serve a few organic items. I just got home from an amazing meal at Renee's. My husband is out of town for the weekend on a Daddy and Daughter trip, and I wanted to take my almost 2 year old son on a special dinner date. After trying to think of somewhere that he would enjoy, and healthy food that I would be happy to see him eat, I thought of Renee's We ordered the Greek salad and the "Old Town" pizza. My son and I devoured them both, and enjoyed dipping our crust in the salad dressing. The service was friendly and efficient. We even took home a piece of Steve's chocolate cake which was the absolute best piece of cake I have had at a restaurant EVER. We will be back many times in the future! read more

Not kid friendly under age 12. My wife and I used to go here frequently with our young daughter before the pandemic. Recently, we wanted to try dining in and much to our surprise kids under 12 are not allowed in the inside dining area. They made an exception as long as "she doesn't scream" or anything; simply appalling to hear someone say that to us. Well sometimes kids do that but rare in our case. We felt so uncomfortable and on edge the entire time to make sure our child wasn't going to do anything that would disturb the exception. The food is good here but we aren't going to sit outside like dogs because we have a child. We just won't come back which is disappointing to say the least. My daughter has a gluten & dairy intolerance, so finding places to eat where she didn't have to break down the ingredients, was very important to us. Today we celebrated her 17th Birthday there... and shared out gluten free-dairy free cake with everyone. I simply love this restaurant. I'm vegan and my wife is *mostly* vegan who occasionally enjoys real cheese on her pizza, so we really appreciate their option of ordering half and half pizzas. I'm a huge fan of Vegan Crush and my wife goes with custom toppings and dairy mozzarella, while I can always add Daiya. I also adore their cinnamon rolls and have heard a lot about the garlic knots, but I haven't ordered them myself (yet). I'm afraid if I try them, I may get addicted to them as well. I really want to try other vegan options that they have, but every time we order there I just can't say 'no' to my beloved Vegan Crush. For me, it's just THE BEST pizza in town. It was well worth the drive and is our new favorite place. The service was great and the food was even better. The four of us ordered lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs, and fettuccine Alfredo. We started with a bread appetizer with honey and ended the meal with cheesecake. Every single thing was perfection. It's the best Italian food in the area. There were no seats available for us to sit down while we were waiting, We waited until 2:15 and complained to the waitress about this poor service.
