Friend and I have eaten here many times. I'm not sure why I've never reviewed them. The service and food has always been good. Friend and I met up to catch up on each other's lives. Our server was very attentive. Friend ordered the shrimp pizza with a caesar salad; I ordered the eggplant pizza with fresh greens salad. The salads came and mine was perfect with a light shaving on cheese on top. Friend's caesar salad was a bit "wet" with the lettuce leaves having too much moisture on them. Regardless, we finished the salads completely. Then the pizzas. The shrimp pizza was really good as was the eggplant pizza. While the ingredients were cooked perfectly, it was the dough that was the star of the dish. That crust is addictive. Visiting Scordatos Pizza has always been a special treat. Our last visit was anything but special. we ordered a 3 mushroom pizza with sausage added on and a Caesar salad with anchovies. The pizza was dry and there was no visible sausage. The server was told this when he checked on us. His response was he was sorry! The Caesar salad was swimming in dressing and soggy. Came for dinner while visiting from out of town. The atmosphere was old school classic family Italian vibes. Clean and cozy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered the tortellini dish. I picked the pesto sauce from the available options and added shrimp. It. Was. Delicious!! Highly recommended. Our server suggested using bread for sopping and the extra sauce. My review is 10 years old; time for an update! Dinner for 3 last night. empty when we arrived at 5pm, full by the time we left. Service was excellent all night long. Cocktails were ordered and delivered timely. I had the sausage pizza - there is still no beating their crust, and the onions are great! My friend had the linguini with white clam sauce for the first time - looked like a lot of sauce, but tons of clams and he raved about it. A little bit more casual than some of the other nice Italian restaurants on the NW side, but it's tough to beat their food. Prices have increased with inflation, but the cocktails are still quite reasonable. I don't get here often enough, I'm going to have to do something about that! read more

Another first time visit review. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30. It was pretty quiet. Only a few tables had patrons. We were seated promptly, the menu was explained well. I must admit that this is the first time I have seen a "Bento Box" on an Italian menu. We started with the stuffed mushrooms. Very flavorful stuffed with cheese. Downside, only 4 of them and they were small. We ordered a pepperoni pizza as a second course. Excellent sauce, not acidic.crispy pepperoni. And a light and crunchy crust. For entrees my son went with the "bento box" which had a nice tomato and cheese bruschetta, Caesar salad, lasagna bolognese, and a warm chocolate mousse cake. I went with the classic chicken Alfredo with mushrooms. Perfectly cooked Al dente noodles, with house made Alfredo sauce. All in all a very well prepared "Linner" late lunch early dinner. He just picked up the plates and put dirty silverware on the table. How dirty and disgusting. When our pizza arrived we had to ask for plates to put our slices upon. Our family of four dined here for the first time, and unfortunately it will likely be our last visit. I don't eat meat, so we carefully selected items from the in-restaurant menu that appeared to be vegetarian. For example, the stuffed mushrooms were described as having a special cheese and breadcrumb stuffing, and the minestrone soup was described as a vegetable soup with beans, noodles, and cheese. When the mushrooms arrived, my husband happened to take the first bite and immediately said he thought there might be meat in them. We asked our waitress, and she confirmed that they contained chicken. At that point I explained that I don't eat meat, and her response was, "Well, how sensitive are you?" which felt like an unprofessional way to handle the situation. Before my soup arrived, I decided to double-check the ingredients myself since our waitress wasn't nearby. When I looked online, I noticed that on Scordato's online ordering menu, the minestrone is described as a "vegetable and chicken soup," which is quite different from how it's described on the in-restaurant menu. Our initial try of Scordato's was last spring and it was great! They had a pizza and bottle of wine for $25 and it was so good. Fast forward to this fall and it was still great but I started noticing a difference in how the pie was cooked. But, it was still good and we also loved their bento box. However, one week ago we had the bento box and it was meh.... Then today we had the pepperoni pizza and they did not bother to cook it thoroughly. The crust was still doughy in the middle and was not good. It was necessary to eat the slices with a knife and fork and it was like eating mush. While these may seem like one offs, I have been noticing a definite decrease in quality in the prepared food. I hope this is just a change of chefs or managers but they are on my "one more try and never again list". Service is great so it's not like stuff is delayed by the servers. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Came here on a Wednesday evening around 7:30 and there was no wait, so immediately got a table. Great service and the food was really good! We ordered calamari, margherita pizza, mixed greens salad, eggplant parm and Sunday's something (can't remember now) and it was all amazing. We had plenty of leftovers and we were thoroughly looking forward to enjoying everything the next day. I didn't get to enjoy the pizza because my son devoured it when we got home! I was delighted to see such a variety of pizzas, and so far I've tried the pepperoni as well as the prosciutto-arugula (my fave!). The pepperoni was OK. The toppings are generous, but the red sauce is just too bland for me. No sweetness to it, no noteworthy acidity, but still decent. And with both pizzas I tried, it felt as though amateurs were making the crust. Maybe it's the flour? It tasted good, but was too hard on the outside, and way too chewy overall. We had reservations, but, two parties without reservations were seated before us. I knew this was a busy time for restaurants , so I made sure my reservation was recognized by the restaurant. We were told they were short on staff, we were seated for approximately 15 minutes before our waitress greeted us. She took our order and when she brought our food we still had no silverware. From the moment we got here the hostess yelled at us from across the restaurant to ask how many in my party. Everytime our waitress has come to the table she stands multiple feet away and talks very loudly to take our order. She shouted from across the restaurant to ask another employee what drinks they had to offer when we asked about drinks. The restaurant is not busy whatsoever with there being maybe 3 other occupied tables. Waitress acted like I was dumb when I asked what the contents of one of the food items was. The caeser salad came and the lettuce was dripping wet and was accompanied by a single piece of crisped bread that tasted like fish instead of having given us croutons. I also got the stuffed mushrooms to which the mushrooms were so tiny they could not be considered "stuffed". I was told the mushrooms were filled with chicken and breadcrumbs but they taste very very fishy. Mushrooms were placed on the stuffing. While eating our meal, our waitress swept under our table and under our legs. Menus were misspriced and misprinted. Also ordered stuffed pepper which tasted very fishy as well. I was told the contents were the same as the mushrooms, chicken and breadcrumbs. Onto desert, I ordered tiramisu. The whipped cream had absolutely no flavor profile to it and had the texture of air in a bad way. And the tiramisu itself had barely any flavor at all. At the end of my meal I had to get a confirmation on price because my menu said something different than my bill. When we got our bill we were also up charged for "flavor adding" to lemonade when we were told it was the same price as regular. Very disappointing experience. read more
