Get a load of this. I paid this establishment good US dollars to put a new sole on my wedge work…read moreboots. They said they would call me when the repair guy got in, as the repair and the boot store are separate. A month passed in silence, and I finally called just to see if any progress had been made. They informed me that they were just about to get started on them. As I was not born yesterday I presume that they had yet to look at them, that or the repair guy was taking some pretty serious time off. But all that's neither here nor there. Because don't worry, its about get worse. After the repair guy was back from what I can only presume was the cobbler convention, he did actually get around to working on them. I picked them up and the sole came off the second time of wearing. Just separated as I took them off. Never even wore them to work and the repair broke. But the real kicker is that when I brought them back in to get more than a ruined pair of boots for 150 dollars, the guy was immediately upset that I would think it was a botched repair job. He raised his voice with a healthy portion of defensive insecurity and informed me that it was just the glues fault, as it was clearly not the store's. He also took the opportunity to educate me further, explaining that I should really be more careful when taking work boots off so they don't break. Work boots, he was kind enough to explain, (and not that many people know this) are supposed to withstand all the abuse of a day at work on a construction site, but are actually not designed for kicking them off at the end of the day, as that is what will really do them in.... But I'm not the expert here, which he was sure to keep reminding me.

They do everything one step at a time, and while no handmade product is perfect, they won't rest until their customer is happy. When you make a pair of boots that lasts 5-10 years, and needs a rebuild every 2, isn't it important to keep your customer happy and in your product and nobody elses? In a world of copycats in the Pac NW working boot style, it's important to really understand that White's, Nick's, and Wesco are the holy trinity of boot brands. Nick's is not as big as White's and they're a good bit slower, but you can bet that your boots will be made properly, and they welcome any feedback on their product in order to make it better. Also the break-in is real. If you don't work on your feet, really consider the dress leathers. It's not a contest and thats 60-100 hours you don't need to be hurtin' if you've got places to be and don't have the time to break in a pair of sturdy boots in your spare time. Seriously I doubt someone would look up the YELP review of this brand with the internet and all the forums this brand is mentioned on, but if you're considering a pair of Pacific Northwestern work/safety boots and you want it made by a brand with less than 15 bootmakers on staff, all making them one at a time without any automation (nearly 1.5 weeks to make a pair of boots start to finish) this is what you're looking for. I'm on my third pair with them, the fit is exactly the same, and the materials used are of the highest quality. Because if you can find better, they'd just buy it for you and everybody else. No corners cut. Every step executed.
