The owner says he pays 2% fees on avg and that is not true. Interstate rates that are mandatory eat up that 2% and profit is then added with swipe fees and a lot more. He probably does 10 - 20k a month. Peanuts. My place does just shy of 8 million in CC/Debits a year. HE DOES NOT PAY 2% and he certainly can't read his statements right ---the processor sneaks them in. In any event if you want a lazy dude to kind give you some service than this is your place. It is run down and sketch people around the store. I went to two shops and had good and knowledgeable service. I spent $2450 without the accessories added. It had a flat front tire, and we were honestly expecting bad news--Mark let us know up front that fixing these tires is incredibly tough (hands-hurt-for-a-week tough), and that most places wouldn't even attempt it. But instead of turning us away, Mark chose to take the time to really look at it. He spent about 20 minutes diagnosing the issue, repositioning the tube, doing some hands-on maintenance, and even using Fix-a-Flat to test if it would hold air. It worked! He didn't have to do any of this--and he didn't charge a dime. Watching someone take this kind of care, especially for someone who could've easily been overlooked, meant the world. Instead, they chipped and gouged my frame in numerous areas, causing more damage then 2 seasons at Silver Mt Bike park. On top of that, when I suggested (validly) that a small amount of time masking the area they were working on could have prevented the damage, I was cursed at and gaslit by none other then the manager Dan himself. This business is terrible and they DO NOT care about your bike. They didn't hesitate to charge me $100 an hour for their "service". Wish I could rate them zero stars. If you care about your bike at all find a better shop, any of them out there are better then this joke of a business.

I literally went as I shredded the brake bumps at Beacon. The brake works as it's supposed to, the dropper is "snappy." The was in the shock. Josh diagnosed that it was literally assembled and reassembled I correctly somewhere in the manufacturing process. The bike is only a few years old, and I've been held up by injuries. He couldn't find one so he was kind enough to take one off another seat post. Paul could tell we really wanted to get back on the trails and was very affordable and friendly. The staff is all friendly and helpful and will be able to direct you where you're going. The parking lot is also awkward to get in and out of, and also awkwardly located in relation to the main entrance. But any REI is a good REI and I'm glad this place is here.

I just purchased a new bicycle, the seventh I have bought from Wheel Sport South, and had another bike tuned. The service has always been excellent. Andrew sold me my new bike and was very informative, patient, and flexible. He did an excellent job, helped me make an informed decision, and ensured I had everything I needed for my new bike. Joe and Jim do an awesome job with all tune-ups and maintanence, and turn things around quickly. They happily answer my questions and take time to share their knowledge. This store feels like a neighborhood shop and I will continue to use them for all of my cycling needs in the future. read more

Both staff members inside were both really nice even though I don't come from the cruiser crowd. Worth a stop if you ride.
