We replaced our back patio door with them. They put a lot of effort into sales, but not so much into a satisfactory installation. They delayed our installation a few weeks, then the installer did about $1000 of damage to our drywall. Their resolution was citing the contract accounts for "minor drywall damage". They offered $300 gift card to a home store as compensation. So their idea of seamless installation, is leaving us with damage, and small amount of money on top of an already expensive installation. I was willing to pay about %30 more than other contractors to have the job done because I expected the opposite of this situation. I expected a professional installation. Instead, an $8000 door job with an extra $1000 in repairs that I have to take care myself, minus a $300 dollar gift card to cover the time and expense of an unacceptable installation. If your installation with them goes well, congratulations, if not then good luck. They will cite the contract and say, "yeah, you signed a contract." read more

I fear investing in large home projects and this one was huge. Our home was built in 1978 and our window framing & seals were on their last leg. Both our sliders were in horrible shape due to the house settling. You could feel the heat rolling in at every angle. We did our first appointment in October and our salesman was excellent. He was not an outlier at all, as every single person involved in this process was top notch from measuring to install. RBA also coordinated with a company that built security screens for our sliders as they needed to be preordered. The process from our first sales meeting to install was long. It took several months. And we started to stress about the cost during the wait just because we had time to stew. Now that we're in the Phoenix summer, I can say we have no regrets. These windows have made a world of difference for keeping the heat out. Another benefit has been that they block sound so well and RBA never mentioned that; they should. They installed a total of eight windows in three different styles and two sliders. One window needed to be replaced due to faulty rollers and that took time but everything they did just looks beautiful and the company gave us quality service every step of the way. He dishes the builders who builds the house for putting in nice kitchens in bathrooms but tells us on endless and endless commercials that they do a crappy job basically of putting in cheap windows. Who is Anderson window to say that your windows need to be replaced in 6 or 7 years? Who are you to say that just because you're selling windows. Your commercial is invalid. read more

Now the windows are being installed on August 5th. 3 weeks later. Do not trust them. Do not order from them ever. Not worth it. Our daughter is sick and we are doing remediation from mold and they have literally screwed up our remediation plans. Her window has toxic mold in it. And they don't care at all. I It's a scam. The team was on time and worked from 7am to 3:30 with real fervor. They put down rugs to protect our floors and plastic on the furniture. They vacuumed as they worked and cleaned all three sets of glass. Bathroom window and two 9' sliders. Today I put out drapes in bedroom and discovered that they now were 3" higher. I guess I'll need to have a panel added to the drapes. All in all were love the full house being filled with light and not heat! read more

I've since received service on my windows. The windows are very good. I am needing a repair already. They're 5 years old now and one of my double hung windows needs a part replaced that helps it stay up. Still pricey windows however, I'm glad I bought them in 2018 rather than now in 2024. read more

Called about getting a quote on a single window they wouldn't give it to me kept pushing on doing the whole house and when I refused they continually kept calling non stop for months several times a day. This company is just beyond anything I've ever seen. The installers were incompetent to be kind. And actually installed the door handles upside down. A week after they left the door handles fell off onto the floor. I called for a different installer. It came back and they were even worse. Had no idea what they were doing. Two guys are unshaven, possibly even drinking and had no idea what they were doing. Trying to reinstall theb handles and since they were already on backwards they thought that was correct. Reinstalled them backwards but forgot more critical part which I found on the floor under a plant. Called again in the winter time when cold air was pouring in and the guy said oh it looks like you got a door that was a warped. I've been waiting for 6 months for a replacement. It came last week and said oh dear. Your order isn't on the truck. Will have to reschedule. This is a joke. If it isn't done properly this time, I intend to sue the company. read more

The product is undeniably better but the cost is unjustifiable. I elected to get a bid from Home Depot and Renewal by Anderson. The sales rep from Anderson went on and and on about how superior their product was and how inferior everyone else's was. Endurance is needed when you meet with them. For all 38 windows, Home Depot was $41,000. Renewal by Anderson: $180,000!!!! (And that was with the so called 20% discount). The rep suggested doing half the windows in the house: $87,000. I overpaid for this product based on lifetime references from childhood. Andersen was always the gold standard of windows so I thought if I paid the exorbitant amount I would get an excellent product. I'm so disappointed I could cry. My doors aren't finished after 8 months from initial phone call to post installation. There are significant outstanding issues, and we have been patiently waiting for them to come back to finish the project. Nothing from project manager Adam L, after honest inquires for a status update. I'm disgusted that only now after we threaten to go to the BBB they apparently find the materials to complete this agonizing project. We'll see. I'll update this review. Btw, the installers were great, no problems with them. PM Adam was great until the invoice was paid, then a no show. Andersen quality and attention to detail are virtually non existent. I hate writing bad reviews, and I should have checked ratings before going with this contractor. Their price quote is way out range and they have a smart way for marketing. Don't fall for it. The knocked the door and said they would offer a very special discount as they want to use our house for marketing pictures, which seemed genuine. So we set up an appointment and they came to give us a quote that shocked us all. $4,500 for the 1st large dual-pane window and $5,000 for 2 windows. They are not tripple-pane and not made from Mars dust. I had the same custom large window for $600 and custom small window for $350 at Window Depot. Standard windows are from $120 to $250 there. I paid a handyman $120 to install each window. Please do some more homework and get your quote from a generic store like Window Depot. read more

It has taken 8 months to complete the project and still stucco damage and trim not painted. I have tried to reach the company and no one calls you back. Financing was not suppose kick in until project completion; however, it kicked in prior and started the clock. No one reaches out, shotty work and terrible customer service. Started with the plethora of advertisements sent to us, seen by us, we reach out about the "free quote" for 8 double panes and a new sliding glass door for our brick house with single panes. Filled out info on their website for a home visit quote on the work. Later that night we get 2 calls from spam marked unknow numbers back to back, different number, no message either time. Think nothing of it, we get spam calls all the time. Two days later we get another call from a spam marked unknown number, again no message. 3 days past, call the number listed on google when you search for the Tempe store. (480) 565-4505. it rings then goes to a single long beep. No person, no machine nothing. Hang up and laugh. less than 5 minutes later we get a call from a spam marked unknown number, we answer to hear guess who.. Renewal by Anderson. . but wait it gets better. Now starts the 20 questions to make sure this is a job they can do (their words) and not waste yours and our time. What year was the house built, when where the windows put in, who did them, and on and on. Then the kicker, we only do framed houses.. SMH yea right. We have had 6 companies out with quotes ranging from 7k to 12k, and not ONE OF THEM made us play 20 questions to get a quote. They all were happy to come out and walk us thru a quote. Renewal by Anderson is a scam and its obvious by the spam numbers and screening clients. No wander they are so poorly rated and have many open cases against them. read more

A week and a half a go I made an appointment for Tuesday 10/15/2024 for an estimate on some doors. While driving from our home in San Diego to Buckeye Az. where we needed the quote for I received a call from the Anderson people to confirm the appointment in which I did. They come to your house, talk trash on local contractors, push you to sign an agreement THAT DAY (mine was around $30,000) without giving you time to figure out finances after dropping that bomb. The only thing I have good to say about this company is. Oh wait there is nothing good. took six+ months to get them, two days for them to install them. They broke a concrete window sill putting one in. Did a half ass job fixing it. windows are not installed properly and has failed inspection. They cracked the crap out of trim putting on hurricane protection and bolts are unlevel and looks like a fun roller coaster ride at six flag. Tech that came out to fix it didn't feel comfortable fixing it without causing more damag. still two months after install still haven't got passed inspection or poor craftsmanship resolved. The installers arrived on time and worked very hard. Some moderate to minor damage occurred to the exterior stucco. The job leader took the only usable stucco piece to use for paint match and promised to complete the job. It has been a month now and calls to the company are not answered regarding job completion. I really liked that he did not bad mouth the competition, there was not any pressure to sign a contract and we received all the advertised discounts and a AARP discount. The promised date was June 2022 but our order came in a week ago and they were installed today by a crew headed up by Cameron & Shannon. The installation was flawless, the crew answered all our technical questions, respected our property.All the floors were covered, all the old windows and debris were hauled away and our home was clean and vacuumed afterwards. Regarding installation day, Jesse and Trevor were amazing from arrival to departure. Friendly, informative, amazing workers and informed us of so much along the process. At that point I felt we would definitely refer friends and family to Renewal by AndEssen. The day after installation I called for service due to the corners in several of the new windows did not match up and sent photos of the light coming through the space. I was basically brushed off. a few months later a couple of storms with wind whistling through the windows I called and someone was sent. The only thing they found wrong around the windows were those corners I had contacted about the day after installation. The man caulked them and the next storm we had no wind whistling. I don't know if I was brushed off due to being a woman or because I had paid in full at time ordered but in any case I didn't feel good about it. I do love my windows though now that they are fixed properly and love the lower electric bill, dust and noise levels from outside. read more

We Initially got windows from Renewal by Anderson which was great. One day installed beautiful windows no complaints. We waited four years to get a new patio door because they are expensive. We got our new slider French patio door mid-Dec., the door itself is very nice the lock however has been a nightmare. We upgraded and spent nearly $1000 on the lock alone which only came with 2 keys. Upon installation the lock stuck a bit the installer said that it should get easier within the next couple of weeks. It never did. I needed a third key since we are a house a hold of three adults plus a spare so I went to a specialty store and got additional keys. Those keys work even less than the keys that the lock came with. I called and spoke to Ian in the service department of Renewal by Anderson and expressed my frustrations with the lock. He said we would have to wait until after the holidays, but they would put the order in. I called after the holidays and lo and behold, no one ever placed an order for a new lock. This was about mid January. So they ordered the new lock again. It was supposed to be in almost at the end of January. We never got any type of follow up calls on the lock. In the meantime, I am crawling in through my dog door to enter my home. we are now getting near the middle of February and supposedly the lock will be getting replaced. I have asked for a manager to call me back and I'm still waiting a week now. I don't understand why it takes so long to get a lock in. The doors are custom-made that's understandable. I can go to any hardware store and buy a new lock so why does it take them over two months to get a new lock? I wish I just would've gone through Costco since Costco is obviously more concerned about their customer satisfaction than Renewal by Anderson. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Go through Costco or anyone else who believes in true customer satisfaction. read more

Horrible installers. I've called many times and they came back and said everything was fine. For the price we paid we shouldn't have the problems we are. My front door cost $9000 which other contractors looked at and they couldn't believe I paid that much and got such a horrible install. The door wasn't plumb and the striker plate which was drilled into place wasn't installed into the right place now without getting a new door there will be holes in door if we move it into the right place. I am so disappointed in my install. I'd NEVER recommend them to anyone. Hire a private contractor way better quality control and way cheaper. read more

Do not use Renewal by Anderson. We had a doorwall and adjoining windows installed 22 months ago. The screen door was mismeasured and does not close properly. We have had service come out to remeasure multiple times as it has to be custom made. 22 months later no appropriately fitted screen door has been installed and all we get as an answer is sorry. Follow up after install is terrible and it is difficult to get ahold of someone that can get the finished job done. Horrible service, not only once, but twice! Four years ago someone from Renewal stopped by my house asking to give me a bid. They schedule someone to stop by, then the next day they send you a text in which you have to call Renewal back to schedule. Eh? I already scheduled with the guy in person! Same happened yesterday. Guy named Craig stopped by and saw I had a quite large window that the seal had broke on and needed replaced. We scheduled for today at 10AM. He sends me a text at 730 saying, again, I need to call the number they leave me in a voicemail. I never got a call, but did get a text that there was an 'error' in the scheduling and I need to call to schedule. How stupid are you people?? I scheduled with Craig yesterday! I'm not calling back. Oh, but I did call to speak to a manager to explain how screwed up your scheduling system is, but got blown off then as well. Some young woman who didn't sound like she knew what she was doing, said she was going to transfer me to a manager, but instead, sent me to some voicemail box. I thought the sales guy was great. But then again he is really trying to sell me a $2k window. The install guys did a great job. Only a few pieces of glass left. The billing was a nightmare, though. They 'had the wrong email', so they never sent me an invoice. Then I was getting random texts saying they were going to send me to collections. That was really a horrible experience. The installer was supposed to collect payment but his ipad wasn't working. He told me that they would contact me. After a few months, I kinda lost track. I do have other things going on. We set up an appointment for a consultation. At the consultation we were told if we did not sign a contract RIGHT NOW then we would lose any and all discounts offered. I work in sales. I know this is a slimy sales tactic. Unfortunately my elderly parents didn't and felt pressured to sign their contract. My mother was devastated and let me read the contract. The contract was completely different then the pitch they gave. The biggest being the HOA. We were told they would get all the approval and whatever needed from the HOA, however the contract said that they would not and it would be our responsibility to do that and if the HOA didn't approve it, it would be our responsibility to hire someone else to remove it. We were also told that they "are the only ones" that offer composite window products. That is a lie. My parents had me drive them over to this business building so they could cancel the contract within the 72hrs they were told they had. In the contract it says you have to have a signed document saying they received the cancellation, the man in their office told them "don't worry I'll take care of it." But thankfully my mom refused to leave until she had that signed paper. The next morning someone from their office called and tried to get them to sign again. My mom explained to them all of the problems and concerns with the written contract and how the salesman pitched it completely different then what was written and wouldn't let them read it cause it was "on his iPad" so they didn't see it until they printed it out later that day. The man on the phone just kept trying to pressure them. Finally my mom just said "if we're interested in the future WE will call YOU!" And hung up. It all felt very "slimy used car salesman-y" and I am glad my folks were able to get out of it. I highly recommend reading ALL the reviews before talking to these folks. read more

A 3 day installation turned into over 6 months of visits by service techs to correct the doors and, to date, they are still inferior. Renewal by Andersen is a predatory scam. They literally quoted me FIVE TIMES higher than vinyl windows. They claim to make their own Fibrex windows, so why is it ***$5,000 for a single, small 1.5' x 2.5' picture window***?? Furthermore the Fibrex ingredients are wood dust from their existing operations, so free. Plus polymer which is extremely cheap. Theres no way that window costs more than 1,000 to make. So the install is $4,000? Also I found out that they quoted even higher to me, a single woman, than to my dad who lives in a much more expensive state. So that is a woman tax, they took me for an idiot. That predatory behavior drives me nuts. Only after 2 hours visit did they reveal their insane prices, they wanted ***$120,000*** for twenty windows. Am ded. The guy didnt want to let me think about it, he says, "only 2% of people who think it over end up buying". I WONDER WHY.
