I would strongly caution women before booking tattoo removal appointments with Nick. During both my consultation and appointments, he repeatedly steered the conversation into overtly sexual topics that were wildly inappropriate and made me extremely uncomfortable. This included discussing sexual acts he likes versus dislikes and asking invasive questions about my sex life with my partner. These were not comments that would be appropriate in any setting, especially not from someone providing a professional service while I was alone in a vulnerable environment during a procedure. The interaction crossed major personal and professional boundaries to the point that I no longer felt comfortable or safe. His behavior felt predatory to me, and I ignored my instincts after the consultation and deeply regret returning for the appointments. After my experience, I discovered that other women had publicly described similar uncomfortable interactions with him in past reviews from many years ago, which made me even more concerned that this may not be isolated incidents. I am intentionally limiting identifying details including my actual name, because I do not want to be recognized, but I felt it was important to share this experience so other women can make informed decisions before booking with Nick. I had a consultation with Nick awhile ago now about my chest tattoo. I was in a fragile state of mind at the time and didn't think of leaving a review until now, mostly because of the response from two other women here. I remember showing Nick my chest tattoo and immediately feeling extremely uncomfortable. I had consultations at a total of 4 different places and none of them made me feel quite as uncomfortable as Nick did. Edit: Nick why would I want to contact or want to talk to you, when YOU ARE THE PREDATOR. Be careful ladies! I NEED TO PUT THIS OUT THERE FOR ANYONE WHO VALUES THEMSELVES AND THEIR BODY I did two sessions with Nick. At first I was very pleased and very happy I found the right place to get rid of my past mistake. Turns out I made another mistake: not listening to my gut and going to two sessions before i felt so uncomfortable I couldn't bring myself to go back! Nick is the type of guy that could charm his way out of a parking ticket. You immediately start to feel comfortable and let your guard down. That's when his jokes start to get raunchy and he becomes unprofessional. He made me (and my friend who was there for support) so uncomfortable, all I could do is turn red and pray it would be over soon. From asking if I had a boyfriend, to different sex positions, to him asking me if I liked to be slapped.. Nick has no boundaries! I didn't have the courage to tell him to knock it off. So I just sat through it. I wouldn't answer his questions, My face would just turn red and I would awkwardly smile. That didn't stop him though and he kept on talking. What was I supposed to do? I was lying on my side while a guy who out weighs me by 150 pounds, was holding a powerful laser to my rib cage. As for the laser work: didn't see much of a difference after two sessions. He quoted me 6 sessions at $60 per session to lighten a dark green, yellow, red and blue tattoo enough for a cover up. As my later research told me those are the hardest to lighten. I have since searched for a better laser and a better place. It turns out Nick's laser isn't very equipped for colors. Maybe only black ink. And even then it takes twice as long as the Pico laser, at the new place I'm going to. I can now say I am in the process of successfully getting my mistake removed!!-- at least my first mistake. I have nothing but good words. Nick is very personable and attentive. I was quoted for 8 sessions and was told that if my removal requires more than the quoted 8, the sessions would be on Nick. Nick kept his words and it seems I have about one more session left. The reason why my quoted session exceeded the 8 was because he adjusts the strength of the laser depending on how my tattoo healed during the previous session. I wanted to stop by Renewal Laser Clinic due to its stellar reviews only to be completely let down. Online, their voicemail, and even on their door says they open at 10am which obviously is a lie because I waited for about 30 minutes and called about 5 times and left 3 voicemails. Awful first impresssion and super disappointed as I was excited to stop by and get a free consultation feeling like this was the place for me because of all of the wonderful reviews. It is now 10:59am and No One has returned my call-- definitely not shocked about that part because why would they call me back when they can't even be there on time. It's stupid, if you are not going to be open at the time you say you will be open-- let that be known. Terrible. I not only wasted my time (which is very limited as I basically work 24/7), wasted gas, could've ran 3 other errands during my quick break from work just to wait 30 minutes wasting my life waiting for Renewal Laser Clinic to open and now I i can't do that because I waisted valuable time that I don't even have. I had been to Renewal Laser clinic for a few treatments my tattoo seemed to responding to treatment-which is good. They were running over 20 minutes late for one of my appointments. When I mentioned that I needed to be done pretty quick because I was now going to be late to my next thing, Nick said not to worry it doesn't take that long. Ok. But it appears this ticked him off because the laser was SIGNIFICANTLY stronger this time. Almost intolerable. My skin hurt for over a week and was abnormally red for longer than normal and that had not happened on my previous treatments. I had been using numbing cream on my past treatments and couldn't feel a thing but this time it burn EXTREMELY BAD. Maybe it was intentional, maybe not. i wish i could give this place more than 5 stars! it's awful walking around with a crappy tattoo, but the idea of having a laser put to it is pretty frightening! that fear kept me holding on to a tattoo i've hated for almost a decade- until a friend recommended nick. im SO glad he did! this clinic is very clean, modern and in a great location. the prices are very fair, and the level of care you receive is great! nick is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and understanding. he also has lasered off many of his own tattoos, so he totally knows what you're going through. i always am given a bottle of water, ice packs, and many breaks between zaps to stay comfortable. plus, he's hilarious and fun to talk to, so the sessions are actually really enjoyable! words of advice- GET LIDOCAINE CREAM! i may have made a mistake getting my tattoo done, but waiting until i found this place was no mistake at all! read more

I love this place. It is clean, accessible, very comfortable, and there is absolutely no pressure at all. Nick Settich is a really great guy. He is extremely warm, caring, funny, and he has a great way of making you feel welcome and is so easy to talk to. We've had some conversations about what was going on my life at the time, and I can tell he genuinely listens. Do you know that old saying of "You can tell your barber anything."? This is absolutely Nick! I can't say enough good things about him! I've had 4 sessions with Nick so far. I have two tattoos that I am having him remove. One is a professional tattoo on my arm, and another is a homemade tattoo that I received when I and the person who did it were 13 years old. You can imagine the poor quality of the homemade tattoo. What I never would have been able to guess, is how much better I feel knowing that it is almost gone. The homemade tattoo is fairly large, but not very solid, and Nick has never charged me for the removal of it since we work on my arm in the same session. It is fading so fast, and it is almost gone! If I'm lucky, it will be 100% gone after my most recent session heals, or maybe just 1 more. It all depends on how my body reacts. Even before my fourth session, I could only barely see it in the mirror! The removal of the tattoo on my arm is showing some significant process, and fades more and more on every visit. One thing that I greatly respected is how he had once turned me away for a session. There were a couple small points where it had not yet fully healed (I had not noticed it) and when I came in for a session, he told me to come back in a couple of months, stressing that I needed to continue to apply lotion to it on a regular basis. Nick's goal is to make people happy with his services, even if that means he has to wait longer before he can perform them! I readily admit that I didn't take as good care of it as I should have. He was more than happy to remind me on the importance of it, and I'm going to be sure to follow his advisement in the future. I think tattoos can be great, but since I've had two tattoos that I have not liked for so long, it will be such a great feeling when they are both gone. In time, Nick will help me get there.
