    A Christmas Carol.
    Nancy V.

We have been regular attendees at RLT for awhile now and I am impressed with the professional level productions that we have seen over the last few years. We just went to see "The Cottage" . A bit of a farce on the "veddy" British drawing room comedies. The play itself got mixed reviews on its Broadway run. Mostly negative about the script, but very positive about the acting. I do occur with the tough NYC critics and yes, the whole set-up seemed a bit ridiculous, but the stunning cast pulled it off magnificently. British accents and all. Once you got past the silliness and the very predictable outcomes, it was a very enjoyable romp. he cast really kept the pace going through infidelity, interfamily drama, prat falls, sexual innuendo, and mass quantities of alcohol consumption. The acting was spot on and we enjoyed every cringeworthy moment of this well produced performance. I highly recommend attending this most professional community theater.

Easy to find, just East of South Virginia on Pueblo. The building is well-lit and they have their own parking lot, including handicapped accessible spaces. The staff is over the top friendly & accommodating. The play tonight is "The Cottage".. The cast was excellent and is made up of local actors. Take advantage of this Community Theater. This is our fourth time here and each play has been amazingly entertaining.

Friendly staff and a welcoming environment. Limited seating so you are close to the actors as they perform. There are stairs to the upper seats but also handicap seating on front. Small snack bar.

First time at Reno Little Theater. Staff were super friendly checking us in and escorting us to our seats. Enjoyed "Dial M for Murder" and can tell the actors are passionate at what they do. Fun to support a great local spot!

Tiny Beautiful Things was simply touching! The theater is super cozy, and we are super close to the actors. Really glad we got to see this play on its last day.

So I actually learned about this production on Yelp!! I was searching the events tab and there it was. I was mainly interested because of the title. I am a sucker murder mystery's. So I bought tickets and planned a little date night with the hubs! It's a very small venue but has comfy seats, a small bar with wine, beer, pre-mixed canned cocktails as well as sodas, water, coffee and teas. It did get a tad warm in there during the show but all in all it was a great new experience for us. I really recommend checking out a show.

What a great place to see local talent! Super cute theater with a thoughtful layout and it was even pretty easy to find parking. Even making reservations was simple. We went to see the play "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and had so much fun. The actors were wonderful and the entire play was humorous and enjoyable. I loved the interaction with the audience!

We attended our very first Reno Little Theater play 'Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)' as we continually try to mix-up our December tradition of every other year with the traditional ballet version of the Nutcracker and Reno Philharmonic and throw in a Christmas play or something festive. So when RLT popped up in our radar we were intrigued by the quirky & funny synopsis of starting off with A Christmas Carol and concluding with Santa does exist - LOL! With just the click of a button the RLT website of purchasing tickets was easy, allowing you to see exactly what sections, what seats with the view of the stage - BTW all seats are GREAT! Be sure to not hesitate too long on deciding whether to go to the RLT as there is always the potential that the production and/or date you had in mind will sell out with you missing out on an enjoyable night out, laughing hysterically and enjoying a wonderfully unique play. Continuing - we had a enchanting evening with the delightful cast as they easily submerged us into each Christmas story as we giggled, laughed while the time seemed to dance by. One of my absolute favorite parts as there are many to chose from was during The Legend of the Yule Cat performance the audience handed over gently used scarves, gloves and hats for Step2 Clothing Drive for a local charity specifically for women & children. This was on their website and FB so we made sure to find some items to share - LOVED THIS! Of course I would be remiss if I didn't mention their version of The Nutcracker that had me literally teary-eyed with laughter while tapping my toes from the Sugar Plum Fairy song and I'll just share this as to not give anything away: mouse in a leotard, a solider and some ballet moves that were absolutely EPIC - bahahaha!! LOVED, loved every minute of this play!! This is a MUST see before the holiday season is over and highly recommend Reno Little Theater! We WILL be attending another production in the very near future! Thank you again Reno Little Theater for a wonderful evening!

A wonderful magic show inside the Grand Sierra Hotel & Casino…read more I was looking for something to do without leaving the hotel for a major conference. I saw that they were advertising this show...and I like a good magic show. It did not disappoint. The sleight of hand and on-stage demonstrations were incredible. I was still banging my head of how they did it or maybe it was the cocktail at the bar that was playing tricks on my mind. As a guest of the hotel, I had a 20% coupon and promptly used it at the ticket office, though I think I should have picked my seat better. Nonetheless, I was in the second row and I was able to get a good look of the magic up close. If you arrive early, you can hang out for Happy Hour, they had some unique drinks including the local standby beers and cocktails...and mocktails for those attending the all-ages show. I recommend seeing this show on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a bit more rambunctious, racy show.

After happy hour ended a bud light and high noon was $18. I can't believe they turned the old movie theater into a magic show theater. I sat there thinking about all the movies I saw at the Hotel and the first time I had a drink in a movie theater so long ago, 1989. It was fun in the bar prior to the doors opening they have a magical experience for adults and kids to set the mood for the evening. Tracy the bartender was awesome! She also works at Blitz during the day. She has the kindest soul and such a people person! It was like I had known her for years. They have a box office where you can purchase tickets. Very hard to hear the gal! They definitely need a microphone to speak to each other. If you think you're going to save a few extra dollars on those service fees - you may have to think twice, just purchase on line. It's much easier. Also, they have a snack bar with fresh popped popcorn $9 -$13 and huge pretzels $14. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!

What a great place for live shows! Given the age of this building, they have done a spectacular job with the upkeep. The building still seems new and the interior is clean and updated. They have concession stands available on both floors- spreading out traffic and easing the lines/crowds. Prices are reasonable for a live events venue. The show itself was great, and the venue is clearly well designed with great acoustics and great views from every seat in mind. The technical features available at the venue also seem to be pretty high tech and modern- at least they were for the Paw Patrol show. I was especially impressed with the restrooms. Sparkling clean with so many restrooms available. I can't imagine lines for the restroom ever being an issue here. I regret not having been here for any shows in so long. I made a reservation at El Dorado in Reno back in June 2025 for a three-night stay…read more(Tuesday-Thursday, checking out Friday) in April 2026. After nearly 10 months of planning, I expected the basics to be handled correctly. When we checked in, we were given a double room instead of the King room we reserved. I went back to the front desk and was told that because they were oversold for Thursday night, there was no way to move us into a King room at all during our stay. That explanation didn't make much sense--they confirmed they had King rooms available Tuesday and Wednesday, but because of the Thursday overbooking, they couldn't honor the reservation for any of the nights. So even though I booked months in advance and had already arrived, I was effectively bumped in favor of guests who hadn't even checked in yet. To make matters worse, only 2 out of 5 elevators were working the entire stay, which led to long waits (up to 20 minutes to get down in the morning) and added frustration. After the fact, I looked through other reviews and saw that this seems to be an ongoing issue, not a one-off situation. Between the reservation not being honored and the operational problems, it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. Skip this place.

We were in the area and saw the big black widow spider and thought what a large Halloween store. But we were pleasantly mistaken - What used to be a bowling alley has now been repurposed into an absolute wonderland of an experience. It's a full blown kid friendly adult friendly haunted warehouse. My 4 year old son had an absolute blast, it starts of with a bit of trick or treating as your making your way through the adventure, then turns into a full on experience as each and every room has a theme from Jurassic park, aliens, robots, clowns, skeletons, a mirror room that I conveniently banged my head into, all the way to the super psychedelic tunnel. Which leads you to the Macabre mansion - for adults and children too. THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING- asking how scary you'd like the experience to be. Seeing as my Little guy is 4 we asked for no jump scares. And made it through enjoying every bit of the way. My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. I hope to see them sound for many many more years to come. Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed.

I got a Groupon to do a month of acting classes. I was just looking for a fun activity for her, she was only four years old at the time. She has been going to Take 2 Performer's Studio ever since and adores it. Not only are they amazing with the kids, but they are so warm and caring. They really foster a great learning atmosphere for the kids here. That is what I love most about this place. I love that it is locally owned and managed by a mom too! Five years ago, after only maybe two acting lessons, a Hollywood talent agency visited the studio and all of the students were allowed to audition if they wanted. This type of audition happens a couple times a year there. A handful of kids were called back by the agency, and my daughter was one of them! It was such a big surprise to us and she was, naturally, delighted to get to go to Hollywood. She did get signed and has since been a principle character on a famous television show. Not only did she LOVE getting to go to LA, but she was thrilled that she got paid really well too. There is nothing like letting your child do something they love to do, but also fill up their college savings account! Since that fun start, our little girl has been taking lessons for acting and voice here. She has had a little training there for modeling too. The school puts on great plays which we love. Like right now, they are rehearsing for a Christmas play. Our daughter has gotten to perform in front of hundreds of people both singing and acting through Take 2. "Stage Fright" is not in her vocabulary. She has gained so much confidence. She has also done runway modeling for local malls a couple times, which was really fun, through Take 2. Really, Take 2 gives their students great tools and amazing opportunities. We really feel like the management tries hard to give the kids as many opportunities as possible to utilize what they are learning. They make the lessons fun, so the kids see it as "play" but really they are learning a ton. I look back to how we started this fun journey with a Groupon for a month of acting classes and it amazes me how much my child has gotten out of her training at Take 2.
