I have an heirloom silk Persian rug that was only off my wall for a short time but my possessive cat 'claimed' it in a way only cats can.... I got it cleaned in a rush for Thanksgiving since I was hosting at my new home. While they didn't get it back to me, I had to bring it back because the odor was still pretty strong. They washed it again since it as less than a month so warranty covered it. This time I left it with them for several weeks to make sure they had time. BEWARE!!!!! They ruined an oriental rug I brought in for cleaning. The colors bled and the rug looks like it was tie dyed. We called 5 times with no return call. When I finally got ahold of the manager to discuss what they could do to remedy this situation his reply was "sue me and good luck". This was the worst cleaning experience I've ever had. The owner was dishonest about the damage he wrought on my wool rug and the lack of cleaning he gave several other rugs, as shown. I received scorn and derision from the owner and his employees on the phone and online for speaking up. I don't want others to have an experience similar to mine: of being yelled at, gaslit, spoken down to, all for a final result of a $900 bill and rugs with the same stains as when they left my house. I felt a lot of what I navigated was because I am a woman, and I don't usually feel that way. I can't enumerate how many ways the whole thing went sideways, all because I expected clean rugs in less than three weeks without hassle or weirdness. More valuable than the money was the hours and hours, over two months, of wasted time trying to get it resolved, to no avail. read more

This is the most unprofessional company I have used in a long time. I have an original Persian rug I needed mended on 2 sides only. The other two sides have the hand stitching. I was very nervous about someone working on this rug so I went over everything that needed to be done with the office. And then confirmed again via text. They were supposed to fix the 2 sides and clean the rug. The rug was picked up 8/1/25 and I was told the rug would be dropped off Friday 8/8/25. No one called Friday so I called the following Monday for an update and no one answered. I called again Wednesday and no one answered. I called from a different number and the manager answered and said he didn't even know which rug was mine. I told them I just want the repair and I would get it cleaned somewhere else. They dropped the rug off Friday 2 weeks later. They put a cheap discolored fabric around all four sides rather than the 2 we discussed. The stitch is wobbly and has holes/gapes throughout and the fabric they used is frayed. When I called them to ask what was going on the woman on the phone said "well I've been out of town". Not sure how that fixes anything. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you have expensive rugs. See photos. read more

I left my Pakistani rug at this rug repair store 6 months ago for repair and cleaning. It has been very difficult to reach anyone and they moved to a new location without any notice. Today I picked up my un-repaired and not cleaned rug. I do not trust them and decided to find another outlet for my job. I believe 6 months is an appropriate time frame to clean and repair an oriental rug. read more

We have a 20 year old Tibetan wool rug that desperately needed cleaning. I called this company, and they were very responsive and came to our home and picked up our rug. That was the first WOW!!! 3 weeks later, I got a call it was ready to be delivered. Today it was not only delivered, but placed back on the floor and they moved our sofa and placed it back on the rug. Who does this type of service? What do you do when a guest spills a pitcher of Bloody Mary's on your rug? You call a profession to clean it, Alex came over to inspect the booze soaked rug (and a few others - hey he was in my house why not). We settled on only cleaning the one rug. He packed it up and was gone. 1 week later as promised the rug was retuned. All clean and uber soft. Great Job! While looking at my other rug I showed him a Moroccan tribal rug that was faded due to sun exposure. Turns out he's heading to NYC to get trained on how to fix it. I applaud Alex for his honesty. I called up about cleaning my area rug and Alex was in the area so he stopped by to see the rug. After examining the rug he stated that unless it had a strong sentimental value not to bother with it. After pointing out all the flaws and the quality of the rug, it just wasn't worth the money to fix it. It probably would have cost $400-500. I had a mishap and spilled coffee on a very expensive custom rug. I immediately knew I had a problem..very little of the coffee came up with blotting and there was a huge brown stain (note to all of you coffee drinkers -- cream and sugar complicate the stain removal process!! I spilled black coffee, which turned out to be a saving grace.) After calling the other large rug cleaning place here in Reno and being told that it would take about two weeks to have my rug picked up, plus more time to have it cleaned ("hundreds of other rugs are ahead of yours"), I called Alex at Reno Oriental Rug Wash.
