This is the WORST COMPANY I have ever in my 73 years of life dealt with. They have a lock on the wheelchair market. My husband is a paralyzed Vet. EVERY time I have called them, they tell me they will pick us at a certain time. We have had plans cancelled so many times because of their arrogant attitudes. They tell you to call 45 minutes ahead. They came 2 hours and 15 minutes after they told me they would be there. Don't need the van anymore. Tonight, they tell me they will be there at 4:45. Assured me. At 5:15 I had somebody help me put him in my car. At 7:00'pm I called to have them Pick us up where we had dinner and they still had me on the list to pick us up at northern nevada state veterans home where they assured me they'd pick us up at 4:45 pm Just now, I called at 11:34 and was told a wheelchair van would be at Northern Nevada State Veterans home in an hour or less. At 12:34 I called to find ETA. They had no idea. At 12:54 I called and was told the driver would be there in less than 8 minutes cause they were in route. At 1:28 I called and was on hold for 5 minutes when I very calmly (my advent mass said patience, Patience, patience) tried to explain the timeline. The lady that answered didn't let me finish, started yelling at me and I do mean yelling and hung up on me. It is now 2.5 hours since I placed the first call. I keep trying to use them, but it never gets better. I have come to the conclusion they do not like veterans. And we are cash paying customers. A couple weeks ago - the day after Thanksgiving, the driver showed up 1 hour early. I hurried to get my husband ready. Flo waited for us. She said it was soooo slow. But they dropped us off at the restaurant 35 minutes before the doors opened. It wa freezing outside and the restaurant let us wait inside. I gave the driver a $30 cash tip!!! Because she wasn't late. The people at the restaurant were familiar with the HORRIBLE service this company provides. They know they are the ONLY game in town and take advantage of disabled people. My 82 year old Aunt called for a cab at 1:30pm April 22nd, to be picked up after her bloodwork appointment. She called me at 4:30pm, frantic because she was still waiting in the rain, hail and cold wind, to be picked up. She is 82 and can barely walk. She needed a cab to take her three blocks from Labcorp to her home. My aunt said several cabs drove by and one of the drivers waved to her. I'm surprised by some of the low reviews as I had a great experience. Was unable to get an Uber or Lyft in midtown. Called another cab company that never showed up. Called Reno Sparks and had a car within 10 minutes (they had quoted up to 15). I got a link that showed me where the car was on a map. Great driver. Was a $3 charge for using a credit card but even that price was cheaper than Uber/Lyft quotes. read more

We booked a 4am pick-up to the airport the night before we flew. Our driver (feel bad I never got his name. Young man, working overnights while going to school.) called my husband at 3:45 to confirm and was at the hotel within minutes. Clean cab, pleasant conversation, reasonable rate. I called for a taxi to take me home from my cardiologist appointment, the phone rang, and rang, and rang, then finally switched over to their stupid automated system which is supposed to send you out a taxi after receiving the required information. Well, 1 hour later I still had no taxi. So I called the company and a real live RUDE person hung up on me when she found out I was complaining about the ridiculous wait time. I called back, and was hung up on again. So, I called back again (I'm persistent if nothing else) this time I got a really nice young man that assured me that he would do everything he could to get me a taxi home. (No issues with him) About 5 minutes after I hung up with the young man from the taxi company a taxi finally shows up. The driver was rude ASF and couldn't get rid of me fast enough. I called the taxi company back again to cancel the 2nd taxi I called for and the same female dispatcher that was rude to me the last 2 times was rude again and hung up on me. I called at noon on 4-29 to schedule a cab for 7:15 am on 4-30. I had a medical procedure scheduled for 8 am. The cab never showed up, and finally called me at 7:47 to say they were outside my house. Called for a cab on a Thursday early afternoon. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this service. I never say things like this, but their service was absolutely atrocious. Upon calling them at the referral of the place we stayed, we were told by he dispatcher that we would need to wait 30-45 minutes at most because we had a party of 5 and needed a minivan. Ok, sounds fine - at least we knew what to expect. We were left waiting for over an hour. When I tried to call to check status, from 3 different phones as nobody was answering, I finally received a rude and curt response indicating that I happened to call at the busiest time in the afternoon and I just had to wait until someone with a minivan cab was available. They said I should check the app and if I didn't receive notification than the request was still pending. - Um, wait, so you tell me a time frame and if they don't show, I should keep waiting?! WTH? Needless to say, we got lucky with finding a LYFT ride after 90 min passed from when we called for a cab. Thought the higher price for the cab would mean better, faster service. WRONG. Our Lyft driver was the same to and from our destination...and was awesome! read more

Horrible company. Do NOT use them. They do not care about your safety or your business. Tried ordering a cab from this company from the airport. Apparently another cab company has an exclusive contract though for airport pickups which I did not realize. RSCC knew this too, but they still took the order. I waited 20 minutes curbside late evening in the cold before I got a text notification of the cab being cancelled. I called back to ask why it was cancelled and was told they can't do airport pickups. WHY did you take the order in the first place then??? Why didn't you inform me of that when I called instead of making me wait another 20 minutes late at night in the cold??? When I called back I reached a second dispatcher who was incredibly rude and could not have cared less about the situation. Do NOT use this company. read more

I have made 5 calls and sent an inquiry through their website regarding an overcharge that occurred a week ago. I spoke to 4 different people in at least 3 departments that all promised a call back. I still have not received resolution or a call back. I will be reporting this as fraud to my credit card company and filing a BBB complaint. Unfortunately, I used to work for this junk yard. I ordered the last ride I'll ever order again from them last April. A weird guy (forgot his name) picked me up from my house and drove me downtown. Not friendly at all and when I gave him a tip (regretfully), he said nothing and drove away. What a nice man, eh? Then, after my business matter was finished, I called and no one answered! I called several times, still no answer. So, I had to literally walk home about 2 miles along the creek. I have diabetes and nearly passed out twice, it was scary. Recently, I switched to Uber and they are overall a great improvement. So far so good. I've gotten a cab with them 10 times and 10/10 they showed up on time. Professional, courteous and no complaints. I was scared due to all the bad reviews. But I also rode everyday with Carson Capitol Cab (Reno Sparks own them too) and they were about 600/600 100% show up rate for about 3 years. Drove hundreds of times with them and never once did Dee or the drivers fail me. Hoping I have the same success rate with this Can Co. so far so good! read more

When I left the employ of Reno Sparks Cab some years back, I didn't t think the crappy company would get worse, but it has managed to exceed my expectations. I will never call the company again to have a taxi dispatched; I will only use the few select drivers, who I can call directly, or I will use Uber or Lyft. I held out against utilising the two ride share companies because I wanted to support a local business, but, to heck with that; I'll find some Uber drivers, who I can contact directly, and bypass the companies altogether. Fork the corporations; they're just leeches living off the common workers, and fork the workers at RSC; they suck, as well. I can't, in good conscience recommend this company to anyone, and that goes for their yellow-haired stepchild, as well, Yellow Cab. By far the worst taxi company in Reno!!!!! Sadly enough the only taxi company in Reno!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! I've had to call 2 separate times over the last 3 weeks to set up a SCHEDULED pick up time to go to work for 4:30 AM and was told that I would have to wait an additional hour to an hour and a 1/2 past my scheduled pick up time. Which is ridiculous when you put in a scheduled pick up time. So that you could be picked up at a certain time and they could do what they need to do accordingly. I even called 3 times ,each time to confirm and was told everything was ok. The first time I scheduled a pick up a few months back I got a text confirmation and email and everything went very well. This time I asked why I didn't get anything these last 2 times and was told they don't do those anymore. The cab did not show these last 2 times. Fortunately the 1st time I was able to get An Uber after almost 2 hours of waiting. Each time I called I kept getting a very "canned" answer. "Oh we are very busy. If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife used these guys to get from Reno airport to Carson City. Quoted $125. Driver Joel ignored his navigator to take the 580, so ended up stuck in gridlock due to an accident for over 4 HOURS!!! He even said several times he should have listened to the navigator, but never turned off the meter. He was even joking about how "at least I'm getting paid to wait here." Little did she know she was the one paying for his mistake! He eventually turned around and drove the wrong way to get to the previous exit, got on the 395 to get around the crash. She didn't get to her Hotel until 2:15 AM. After she looked at the bank statement she found she was charged $275.47! Other cab drivers said he should have turned off the meter, so she called to talk to a manager. After talking to a nice person who said they should be able to discount the ride, she was transferred to manager Andrew. He was extremely rude. He totally lied, said the additional cost was due to the detour. I mapped it both routs and the difference of only 1.0 mile! Use UBER!!!! LYFT anything but these a holes. They own every cab co. in the Reno area. Andrew said he would call back with the details of the trip from their system. Never called, likely because he knew he lied about the cause of the additional cost. Update: I spoke to Andrew and he said the driver had every right to leave the meter on. I argued that this is horrible customer service to make us pay for his mistake. He then changed the story, lied again! said the wait time did not happen on the 580, it happened after the highway patrol deserted them, then was stuck behind a second accident. Total lie! She took videos on her phone every step of the way, and it is time stamped. He said the was $138 additional due to the wait time. We were robbed, then lied to. read more

I had the same experience as several others who have posted their reviews here. DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY FOR A SCHEDULED RIDE TO THE AIRPORT. I scheduled my ride on their website for a 4am ride and received confirmation. No show and when I called the dispatcher could see my reservation and told me she'd "put it back on the board". I had to drive myself and ended up paying $60 to park at the airport. This is a lose/lose situation. I paid for parking at the airport and a driver missed out on the fare and a nice tip...both ways!
