All that was done was to carry the appliance into the house and plug it in. The refrigerator was brought in as it was shipped by the manufacturer. This means that they did not install handles or shelving which was shoved inside the refrigerator in boxes. They would not install the water line because our shut off valve was not immediately behind the refrigerator. We called a plumber out and he thought this was crazy because we had a setup with a shutoff valve right below the refrigerator in the basement which he indicated was to code. He advised doing nothing and we should simply hook the waterline into the new refrigerator ourselves. The 4 refrigerator doors were totally covered with a blue protective film which was also tucked into the seams so it could not be removed cleanly. When I asked the delivery man about the protective film, his response was "do you expect me to spend my day peeling this off". My wife and I spent hours over 2 days trying to remove the film but are still left with blue film around the edges which we can't get totally out. If you look at the Home Depot website, they have a picture of delivery men carrying in a refrigerator very similar to ours that that has handles installed and no protective film on the appliance - FALSE ADVERTISING! We will never return to Home Depot again.

The associate seemed perturbed that he to break off his texting and after signing the docs pushed the machine out the door and said "have a good day" he was pretty clueless about helping me load it but at 70 I'm still pretty strong. Getting home I had to sharpen the bits as the were just blunt pieces of iron and after 10 minutes of use I saw a couple of bolts laying on the ground. The head was coming off. The machine was a piece of crap so I returned it I finished the following day by renting from Sunbelt. Nice tool, good bits and they loaded it up. Home Depot nicked me $125.00 for 4 hours use. Sunbelt the same for 24. Oh well, 2nd time shame on me

We ordered appliances from Home Depot for our brand new kitchen…read more The refrigerator (along with a range and dishwasher) was delivered just before Christmas. The delivery experience was alarming. The drivers appeared impaired and fell while carrying the refrigerator up our stairs (raised ranch). Because the box itself did not appear damaged, no further inspection was done at the time. Due to an ongoing kitchen renovation, all appliances remained boxed to prevent damage until cabinetry was installed. Today, when the refrigerator was finally unboxed for installation, we discovered three significant dents. This damage clearly occurred during manufacturing or delivery. Multiple calls to Home Depot customer service led absolutely nowhere. Despite the circumstances, we were told the refrigerator would not be replaced. After years of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent with Home Depot, this is how we are treated -- dismissed and left with a damaged product we paid full price for. We now have a brand-new kitchen with a visibly dented, brand-new refrigerator, and Home Depot refuses to make it right. This is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. Buyer beware: once that delivery truck leaves, Home Depot apparently wants nothing to do with the condition of the appliance they delivered.

I requested that they deliver it and they agreed to do so the next day. I received a phone call in advance, which was nice. The truck showed up, and they placed the heavy hot water tank in my garage. I then asked for them to move it to the basement, which was basically the reason I paid for delivery. But I was told that they're not allowed to move hot water tanks into houses. They packed up and left. I was disappointed because I paid for delivery and I should be able to say where to place the unit. Instead, I had to get my family together to slide the thing down the steps, which was fun, let me tell you. Next day delivery was nice, but they should allow the homeowner to dictate where it goes, within reason.

Ramon was also very helpful, especially when it came to loading items into my car--his willingness to help was appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience wasn't as positive. Many of the customer service representatives at the registers were lacking in basic customer service skills. A refresher training in courtesy and attentiveness would go a long way. One of my biggest frustrations with this store is the layout. I entered through the Business and Construction side, which has a checkout and what appears to be a return desk--but I was told I had to walk all the way to the opposite end of the store just to return three items. There were no exceptions. That setup is beyond inconvenient and honestly makes me want to shop elsewhere. Overall, this Home Depot is decent, and I do find their prices slightly better than their major competitor in the area. But the customer service inconsistencies and poor layout make it a hit-or-miss experience.

I had had several issues at this location. For example my online order got declined and I had to come into the store to get my money back and they said they had to put an IT ticket in. I drive by saw the truck went in and said yeah you can rent there no one using it today. If they aren't straight up ignoring you at the counter they are hiding in the aisles on their phones. Already perturbed, I stood for another couple of minutes appearing to need help within eyeshot of both of the men. They started to walk away when the "senior" gentleman finally acknowledged me. He sent a rep over to me. I explained I wanted 55 or 65 inch tv preferably Samsung or LG, QLED tech, and open box if possible. He took me over and without asking any more questions showed me an OLED. Far outside what I anticipated paying, when there are clearly other 55" QLED options. When I asked him about the Samsung 55" QLED in the back of the stack of open box TVs, I was told that it wasn't a good tv. I'm no expert but I certainly would want to know if my people were going straight to "not a good tv" rather than "what do you like about that one?" The man also could not get to his water bottle quick enough. Sipped on it during the experience. I asked a few more questions to give him another shot but he also disparaged other TVs. I couldn't leave fast enough. I did not get any of their names but this was around noon today.
