From the minute I requested a quote until the time I picked up my car (more on that later), Repairs On Wheels was great. I requested a quote on an oil change and tire rotation and asked their availability. This was late morning on a Thursday. They gave a very competitive price and said "bring it in." I couldn't make it for a few hours, so messaged to make sure they still had time for me and they did. I showed up by about 2:30pm and met Shawn. Simply put, Shawn is great. It wasn't much longer before they took my information and pulled my car into a bay. Within seconds after being up on the rack, the mechanic asked me to come look at something. I know my way around cars and around oil change places trying to gouge for extra repairs, so braced myself. However, as soon as I walked under the car, I could see a torn tie rod boot. And then I was shown the bad control arm on the other wheel. Those are both dangerous issues and I knew I had to get them repaired and hoped this wasn't going to destroy my bank account. I also worried about the work being done in time for my next work day, as I commute about 100 miles round trip a day. Shawn told me he could have the parts by end of day and the car would be ready for pick up the next morning, and the estimated price, which was totally in line with what I expected. Sure enough, 9:00am the next day and my car was repaired and driving like a dream. I avoided a potential major highway accident because I chose the right folks to change my oil. One of the best experiences I've ever had at a repair shop. I've been dealing with a lot of car issues that have stressed me out because they happened right before a big move across multiple states. I messaged Repair on Wheels based on reviews here and Alex, their manager, replied very quickly with a quote. I went in to get my brakes done and will be returning at the end of the week to get an alignment. I'll be honest, as a woman I often get treated like I don't understand even the most basic of car issues. It seems like they are professional their job, or at least they know what they doing. But their rim repair price is same as a new oem rim. The guy promised me rims will as like new. But if I will pay same amount of money as new, there is no reason to use old used rims. I can just buy new set of rims and put it. Ridiculously funny. New oem rims 200$ in market guys. Wake up. Change the rims, get new pattern and shape rims. Not worth paying 150$ for old one. If you repair only one rim 175$. Pay 50 bucks more and get new, different rims. Dishonest and untrustworthy. I was hoping to be a life-long customer, but after my second visit at the shop it is clear that it will also be my last. I made the mistake of trusting them and did not ask for a quote prior to bringing my car in. I was surprised to hear that they were charging me double what they had the first time -- for the same services. When I asked about the price difference, they literally admitted to me that they charged me for services they did not provide: they told me that they had "removed my tints and then put them back on." They explained that my tints only allow 44% visibility and that it is illegal to go below 75% in NY state. I was confused why they would put the same tints "back on" if they removed them. They said that they "didn't actually touch" my tints, but that they had to "say they removed them" (and charge me for it) in order to say that my car passed state inspection requirements. read more

That was the major reason why I ended up choosing this shop, out of all the other repair shops in the area. My boyfriend was in major need of an oil change & an alignment. The managers (Alex & Dennis) were very professional and honest throughout the process. They informed us that they do not do alignments, and explained the reasons why they did not do it, which was appreciated. Although they could not do the alignment at the shop, they were both very helpful and offered to recommend us to someone they knew who could do the alignment (which we forgot to ask). The mechanic did a very thorough inspection of the car, and informed us that the front tires and brakes also needed to be changed (besides the oil). The part my bf & I Iiked about this shop is that the mechanic & Dennis showed us how damaged the tires & brakes were, and explained what they would do to fix it. And, we both appreciated the thorough breakdown of the prices which were very reasonable. When the car was fixed, my boyfriend was very pleased with the results. Have car trouble? Or need just a routine maintenance? I've established Repair On Wheels as my one and only shop. Aside from fantastic customer service and the knowledgable and honest staff; they are open 24hrs/7days a week! The first time I crawled in front of their shop with a flat tire; (don't pull in unless directed, as a professional courtesy) I admit I was uneasy at first as going to any mechanic, you have this feeling they're going to bleed you dry slowly in way or another. I was greeted by the owner, Russell; who then directed me to Alex. I needed new tires and offered me used tires. He took me downstairs and showed me a great selection of tires. Alex took his time to find the size I needed only to release I was asking for the wrong tire. Together, we checked my '97 GMC Savana only to confirm that he was right! After 20mins and $130 for pair of tires (great, i might add) - I was back on the road. They also put my spare back up under the chassis for me and checked the tire pressure. Within those 20mins, there were all kinds of cars, vans, and trucks going in out of the place - hustling and bustling. It was pretty impressive really as the front of this shop is deceiving small for just one car but inside, it's able to service 8-10 vehicles at once! A few weeks later I returned to do an oil change. Again, I was greeted by Russell who recognized me and shortly after, Alex. I was bumped up the queue as the vehicle before me, the owner, was needed to be present. Customer Service. As my van was on the lift I spoke to Russell and asked him some questions and concerns about my vehicle - very knowledgeable and personable guy. As the oil change came to an end, I was happy to see the mechanic checking the rest of the car. Russell was called over and then myself. He pinpointed out some minor problems and explained throughly the problems I had. I knew that Russell gave me his genuine, honest and professional recommendation. At the end, he included what and how much each service would cost to address these newly discovered problems on my receipt. (They have my information in their system from my first visit!) Please be careful if you have a luxury vehicle . I decided to bring my vehicle in because my check engine light was on and I used this place for air in my tires in the past . MY service specialist was book for a few weeks. This buisness didn't do a full inspection and charged $106 foe coolant . I have no issues paying for whatever my vehicle needs. I called them to let them know after they put in the coolant my vehicle now has several lights on and other issues. my vehicle didn't even start up properly when I called the manager over to explain he asked if I had brain fog to start my Audi . extremely rude human. My Audi started acting really wacky I became very scared to drive it. the engine light came back on and halt of the number on my dash became red letting me know don't drive above 25 mph This told me I can come in 4 days later??? how is this possible? I immediately had my vehicle tow to my service center and it was fully diagnosed and fix it was good I bought it in at that time and not drive it maybe go to this place for just the basic but not to figure out why is your engine lights on ect!!!! read more

These guys are outstanding. It's so refreshing to take the truck to a shop where the people are professional, courteous, and give you peace of mind because they show you everything you want to know. I take great comfort in transparency, and my experience here was everything I would want in an auto shop. I came in for a tire pressure sensor failure that needed to be replaced, and also wanted to have my wheels powder coated black. Before doing anything Russell, who I believe is the owner, showed me some work he had done on a couple other cars, and gave me a tour of the shop explaining the process and machinery they use. The shop is top notch and you can see how they do such excellent work. When they found the bad tire pressure sensor, they showed me on the device so I could see for myself even though I didn't ask for verification. They also noticed I need to have my front brake pads replaced soon, and of course showed me how much there is left, and gave me a good price, but didn't push for the repair now, because there is still a little time left on the pads. This is now my number one shop for auto repairs. Honest, straightforward, up front, friendly, and professional. Russell, the support staff in the office, and the mechanics and technicians, all did great work, and made me feel comfortable and welcome. Showed them the tires I needed, they quoted me almost the same price as tire rack dot com and added the mounting and balancing on top of it where it came out to be a very reasonable 4 tire replacement on my 328i xD. They ordered the tires and notified me it was in. (Only took a day) I Came in at 630pm and within 5 minutes my car was being worked on...I was out in about a little over an hour. No fuss or over charging. Straight up pricing and service. Everyone was nice and treated me well. They are also probably one of the few that's open 24 hours most of the week, so it's also very convenient to go to. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Do not use this sad scam of a business.. went to my repair shop for work on my car, my shop sent my wheels to "(fake) Repair on wheels). Told them that the rim had a crack and was leaking air.. they so called fixed the car and three hours later my low tier signal comes on.. only three hours from the shop.. I go in the next day and was told leave the car outside and if it got a ticket that was on me.. hours later I got call saying car is ready, I go there and they tell me the problem wasn't the rim and was the brand new tire had a hole and they plugged the hole for me, for 20$. Double what any shop orders but regardless it's only 20 and k spent more and Uber just going there to pick up the car. I give them the money drive off and boom 5 hours later low tire mood.. moral of the story don't trust this scam of a place read more

I got stranded in Tribeca with a busted brake line in the way at a parking garage at 4pm on a workday. Everyone I called could either not help me or wanted crazy money to tow it. I called repair on wheels and Sean assured me that they would do there best to get me back on the road to Pennsylvania and refered me to a tow company that charged me 1/3 of what everyone else quoted me, was there in 30 minutes and once I got to repair on wheels they made it a priority while I waited. They fit a whole new brake line in just a couple hours and talked me through everything the whole time so I could let me wife know if I would make it home that night. I cannot stress how great the experience was. It was by far the friendliest, fastest, and honest shop I have ever been too and Im only sad I don't live down the street to take all of my cars there for all of their issues. I have written a couple of reviews for REPAIRS ON WHEELS, and I will write one more based on a recent experience... If you want a high quality of service, be prepared to pay for it. I went in for an inspection, an oil change, and a tune up. I left 800+ poorer. AND IT'S OK. Why? Because I TRUST Alex and his team based on their professionalism and performance every time I have been there, and because MY CAR PROBABLY NEEDED 800 BUCKS OF WORK DONE. Why mess around with your car? I have gotten burned so many times going for the cheap deal, or for the "friend who's going to hook you up". At this point in my life, I would rather pay a little more and have someone who is an expert work on it in a very timely manner. That's what you get here. Alex met me at the front, and I explained what I needed. He is all business. He had Mohamed come help me. Mohamed was the man, and he took the car right in. No messing around. They have a guy, Ilya, handling the business end up front. This guy is an asset. He is extremely professional and pleasant. He was patient with my questions. He referred questions he couldn't answer to someone else. He eventually broke down the estimate, which included tires-- I heard Alex yell from the background "THOSE TIRES WERE 8 YEARS OLD". He was kind of right. Ilya was very helpful, and he called me exactly when he said he would, and basically kept me in the loop. No bullshit. No upselling. No taking advantage. They work fast. I got my car and it seems good so far. I am TRUSTING that the Repairs on Wheels team did work that will help my car run as good as it can. Tuesday morning I walked out to find my car side swiped and missing it's passenger side mirror. I was referred to Alex at Repairs on Wheels by a colleague. Alex was so polite and quickly got me a quote, and my car fixed by Friday. The work was done in less than hour, and now I can safely go back to driving to the hospital during this ongoing virus. I had sloppy work done on my older car. The mechanic didn't hook up the vacuum hoses correctly at all. Even going so far as to leave one hose unattached to anything and the most egregious one, he shoved a hose from the air intake down into the carburetor. How could the mechanic do that and tell the main guy in the office to call me and say it's ready to go? Despite my assurances from Sean that they knew exactly what to do and "have all the manuals and it's what they do for a living". This doesn't make me feel confident that the main job of replacing the intake manifold was done properly. And it was not cheap either. I neither met the mechanic who worked on my car nor was shown the work once completed and paid up. I wish I had popped the hood before driving off so I could possibly have had some recourse and or at the least save myself the time and energy fixing their mistake. (not to mention not have a huge engine misfire on the FDR due to poor air / fuel mixture.) The guy in the office is nice enough. And the hours of operation are convenient, but they, unlike most auto shops, care about and know the importance of online reviews, especially with members of the younger generation like myself. Once I left, I got a text asking to leave a review online. I wish I hadn't fallen for the reviews and had just gone to a mechanic closer to me who cares more about doing good sound work and less about online reviews. The only issue I had a problem with was the waiting room. I think it should be updated and cleaned for customers. That would make a HUGE impression on people. Good note - cool staff (the lady at the window is always pleasant and helpful). Bad note - I had to replace my bumper a few weeks ago and the job was done in a reasonable amount of time. However, I noticed after that I was unable to pop my trunk open but I didn't have time to question it nor did I need to since I don't drive very often and I don't use my trunk. Drove home one day recently and noticed that my bumper was popping out on the left side. ZERO exterior damage so I know I didn't get it and I park in a garage and there's not one on my left side that could've hit me. Took it back to Repairs on Wheels and just got a call saying that I definitely got hit from someone and I would have to pay pretty much the same exact price to fix it that I did the initial job - WHAT? Was impressed in the beginning, but walked away paying lots of $$$$ for repairs so I can get my vehical inspection last year to make sure my check engine light stayed off. Was pretty frustrated that after paying 1k+ for repairs, the check engine light came back on. After calling them back, they told me to bring the car back. Later on I found out they gave me a fake inspection sticker to please me, looked on the DMV site to check my status. I wanted their help, but I wanted it done correctly. This year, took it to a different shop, the mechanic was able to resolve the issue quick by swapping out one part at minimal $. My gut was right. Russel (the owner) and his right hand man Alex are true to god honest humans. The worst place, the guy, probably a manager, always says different price and doesn't care about customer service. Once we came he said to repair sensor $225-250, couple weeks later it became $300. Update* you can ask your receptionist woman or your worker about pregnant woman on Honda , he remembers me very well, check cameras. I did service there once and even came back.
