Our first slab leak was 5 yrs ago on 12/31/2020. We fixed it for $1200 during COVID and decided not to do a whole-house repipe. At the time, Mike quoted $8000 for a PEX repipe. Then, in 2022, we had an in-wall pinhole leak, and I managed to fix the leak with a rubber pad and a hose clamp. Definitely did the trick! I also performed a couple of preventive fixes on those cooper green spots. It's an indication of a future pinhole leak. Knowing we were on borrowed time, on 1/8/26, 5yrs later, the formal living room carpet was soaking wet. That's the second slab leak and the 3rd leak. To repair or to repipe, that is the question....??? After speaking with Mike regarding our situation, Mike suggested it's really time to repipe. Only if we had done it 5yrs ago, I could have saved a lot more and not dealt with water damage. Sure, I can spend another $1500-$2000 on a repair, but my days are truly counting. I finally decided to pull the trigger, and I regretted why I didn't do it 5 yrs ago for $8k. Prices went up A LOT! Sigh..... I finalized the project with Mike on Tuesday, and Mike and Zara arranged the crew to come on Thursday. A team of 8 people quickly went to work. 4 Bathrooms + kitchen + Fridge + laundry room + laundry sink + 4 hose bibs were all completed in one day! (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM) The house looked like it had gone through WW III with so many random holes everywhere. I was wondering how they were able to restore the house to its original condition. Finally, after the city inspection was passed, the wall patch team came in. On day 1, only 2 guys came. They were courteous and did the best they could for 1 day. On day 2, an entire army of 8 came in and finished the drywall patching and texturing. All done. I could hardly tell the wall had been patched. Since whole house repiping is considered a part of construction, do expect some things to be broken here and there, or shower faucet installations could be done more professionally. All of my concerns raised with Mike were addressed and rectified by the foreman, Emmanuel, promptly. I was reassured that CARE Plumbing stood behind their workmanship and truly listened to and cared for customer satisfaction. We have an old family house that started having leaky plumbing. When I saw Care Plumbing's ad in a home improvement magazine and decided to give them a call, I honestly didn't expect much--but wow, was I wrong. If you're ever considering a repiping project, hear me out and I'll explain why you should absolutely keep these guys at the top of your list. When I first called, I spoke with Zara. She immediately stood out far more knowledgeable than the typical "sales" reps I'd talked to. She clearly explained the services they offer and gave me a solid overview of what the whole house repiping process would look like. Zara referred me to Mike, who turned out to be an incredible estimator. This guy knows repiping inside and out. I'm a bit of a tinkerer myself--pretty handy with regular fixes--so I definitely wasn't the easiest customer to deal with. I did my research thoroughly, double-checked everything, and even discussed options with some experienced neighbors before committing to the full repiping job. What really impressed me about Mike was that he never tried to upsell me. He laid out all my options clearly and walked me through each one patiently. I wanted to make sure the job was done right, with the proper city permits, and Mike fully supported that approach. Their pricing was more than fair especially considering the quality and you could tell right away that Care Plumbing was serious and professional. No stupid haggling, no wasted time, just straight-to-the-point service. Since our old water heater was nearly 30 years old, Mike also pointed out that I should consider bringing it up to code or replacing it altogether. I decided to replace it myself before the city issued the main permit, thinking it would save some money. I pulled a permit for the water heater replacement and did the work myself (told you I'm a tinkerer). The city inspector passed the installation, although he did note I had used a galvanized pipe for the TPR (temperature-pressure relief) drain instead of copper. Still, the job passed inspection. Here's where Care Plumbing really impressed me: when I told Mike I had installed the water heater myself, he didn't give me a hard time. Instead, he asked for a photo and said they would upgrade the TPR line to the proper copper material as part of the repiping--even though it technically didn't need to be reinspected. That kind of professionalism and attention to detail goes above and beyond. Mike told me he'd send his best crew for the repiping--and oh boy, did he deliver. On repipe day, Zara sent me the full schedule and admin details in writing and followed up with a call to make sure I understood what to expect. If you appreciate organized, well run operations, Zara is exactly who you want in your corner. At exactly 8:00 AM, Manuel and his crew of seven arrived. These guys were like a synchronized A-Team--each had a specific assignment. Some were stationed at each bathroom, two were working in the attic, another was at the laundry room. Everyone was focused, professional, and respectful of the property. They covered and protected all the rooms, moved furniture carefully, and made only the minimal necessary wall openings. By 12:30 PM, water was turned back on and the repiping was done. And yes they also replaced the TPR drain line with copper, just as Mike promised. Talk about going the extra mile! Later that afternoon, Zara followed up again, walked me through the next steps, and scheduled the city inspection. The next day, the inspection passed with flying colors. I sent the signed job card back to Zara, and she promptly scheduled the next crew for wall patching. Isaias and his team arrived right on time the following morning. Just like the repipe crew, they were extremely detailed. They knew exactly which walls had been opened and patched everything up as if nothing had ever been touched. They even had to return for the second day day because the inspector wanted to see the lath paper before they closed the exterior stucco. Sure enough, they came back without hesitation and finished the job beautifully after inspection. Update Feb 24, 2025 I noticed there were a few cracks in the patch up job that was done a few months ago. I gave Care Plumbing a all. Right away the office manager, ZARA, followed up, scheduled a follow up, workers showed up this morning, re-worked the patch job, and everything looks good. So Care plumbing did a good job in 2024. When I encountered a need, there was no hesitation in following up and workers showed up, and took care of things. I can confidently call these guys again for my plumbing needs. Run! RUN! First, check the fine print. They weren't upfront about certain things needed to pass inspection such as needing to paint IMMEDIATELY and electrical work they don't do, costing thousands of additional dollars. In an even more serious matter, they are currently under investigation from the California State Licensing Board for "bad workmanship" and from their bond company. They caused severe damage to my property of over $3K, as determined by a neutral insurance contractor. They left a stucco hole open, I asked them to cover it because a storm was coming, they didn't, and I ended up with a flooded room. They will not take responsibility and at one point they said it wasn't their fault but the "fault of the rain". Seriously? Mike has said he didn't think it was the hole that caused the damage even though his *own plumber* told him he saw rain going in through the hole. Terrible! Consider going elsewhere. read more

Tract homes of the early 50's - A Pound of Prevention Neighbors smarter than I figured out those Galvanized pipes we were blessed with in 50's are reaching their expiration date and when they become corrosive not only does pipe leaking occur but leaking of heavy metals, including lead, get released into our house's water supply. I teamed up with a neighbor who was much more knowledgeable on the matter and we were visited by eight different plumbing entities specializing in repiping. My neighbor, who took the lead, came to a definitive repiping company choice. I decided to be reserve with my choice and waited for the outcome of ;my neighbor's definitive choice. Even through my chicken-like hesitation, my neighbor allowed me to witness from the beginning to the conclusion; after my neighbor's success I chose the same specialist. Interesting though, the crew sent out to my neighbor's was different from the crew sent to my house. My thought, "How apropos, my neighbor got the "A" crew and I got the diminishing "B" crew." Chicken nugget retribution. To my surprise the A crew and the B crew were consistent in the quality of repiping and wall patching prowess provided. Oh, yes, my fellow neighbors, holes accompany repiping, it is unavoidable. All contracting companies say, "Our Work is 100% Guaranteed," but many of us, well at least I have fallen prey to the the once the job is done contacting them and getting something repaired is a continual frustrating hold button. Soon after I had paid in full, a leak was discovered; therefore, I called Care Plumbing expecting the eternal hold button syndrome to occur. They destroyed my profiling and immediately responded to my distraughtness. The timely response to this leak was a true testimonial test for me regarding the 100% guaranteed work. The leak itself was minor and primarily it was my own doing, but they fixed it anyway at no charge. Quality of work being done is important, yet for me, the quality of the aftermath response is imperative, because inevitably with time something will happen and it's good you can depend on Care Plumbing to respond. Very highly recommend. From the beginning, their estimate was extremely detailed performed by Carlos.. He spend about 1.5 hours going over all the fixtures that needed to be replaced. I called Care plumbing to come and give me an estimate on a total re-pipe job for My Home due to a slab leak. They were the fifth contractor to make a bid. They were the only contractor that had an actual contract, or every single thing included was written down. by far the most professional. Guy gave me an estimate based on pictures from Zillow. I had no trust in that guy. The price was on the lower side of the bids, but not the lowest. They were absolutely worth every penny. I signed the contract Wednesday at noon and by 4 PM the next day they had come in and totally re-pipe my house and I had normal plumbing back. No more slab leak. The whole job took them about seven hours. Quick and efficient. Several days later they were able to get the city inspector out so they could do the patchwork. By the way, some of the other companies told me I would not need a permit. This is not true. The all guys showed up and would've been done in one day, but the inspector came in pretty late. So they had to finish up the next morning. I was worried about the texture coating on my knockdown ceiling, but they were able to match it perfectly. Anyone that's had drywall work done at their house knows it could be quite a mess. Somehow they kept the dust down to a bare minimum. Overall a good experience. We recently hired Care Plumbing to re-pipe our entire 60-year-old house (both water and drain lines as well as sewer) and we could not be happier with the results. This company is simply fantastic to work with and the quality of their work is top-notch. I interviewed lots of companies, but what sold me on Mike and his team was the fact that they could and were willing to do all aspects of re-plumbing our home. Many companies just wanted to do the water lines or just the drain lines, both of which we needed. But most importantly, our original 60-year-old main sewer line was cast-iron steel and ran under the concrete slab foundation of our home--and this needed to addressed as well as we'd already had several soft blockages/backups and were concerned that it would collapse at some point (which has happened to more than one neighbor in our development.) Most other companies suggested I just de-scale and reline the pipe (which was already brittle at almost 60 years old), and some told me they didn't want to work on it at all. Mike was the only one who suggested we pull a brand-new pipe through the existing (using pipe-burst technology), therefore ensuring that all aspects of our plumbing would be NEW. And he was able to do this without breaking or damaging the slab foundation and floors inside our home. Simply put, the job we hired them to do was massive and Care Plumbing delivered. The quotes for each aspect of the job were detailed and very competitive, and once we signed and locked up a start date--Care had a virtual army of technicians at our home every day working non-stop until the job was complete. They replaced the copper water pipes in a single day, then replaced the cast iron drain lines with ABS on day two, and then tunneled under the slab of our home to re-place the main sewer line over the next several days. About two years ago this company performed a re-pipe of my home. They came 1st to go over my options, the estimate took about an hour which was quite extensive. My pipes were in bad shape super old so it had to be done! We went with Pex Pipes vs. Copper. The work was done neatly and quickly! Thus far i have been happy with the outcome. Only negative thing i have to say is that there was a leak that I heard by the shower so I had to call for them to come back out ( free with warranty) and go into the wall to remedy the issue. The estimated cost was within our budget and we decided to proceed with the contract. We are very happy with the whole project. The staff in the office as well as the workers were professional and skillful. We like the fact that the company takes care of the permit process and follow thru with our requests. We were also happy that the project was completed on time as promised. It took one day for repiping, one day for initial inspection, one day for patching back the wall and one day for final inspection. Home owners should plan to purchase new faucets if new ones are needed and schedule for plumbers to install new faucets the same day the repiping is done or before the walls are patched up. Care plumbing charges $160 for installing new faucet. You may be able to find other vendors that less to do this work. We used other plumbers for installation of new faucets. Water kept running and my shut off valve didn't work but when I called the owner Mike Ovsepyan, He was so nice and helped me shut off the main valve with just a small tool as I don't have the T Bar. However, I later learned this was a huge bait and switch - as the estimator left out some crucial steps needed and when the workers came to our property to complete the work, the refused to do the un-estimated work unless we paid them right then. We argued and were refused any kind of discount etc. VERY UNHAPPY. Secondly, the timeline quoted for patch work was incorrect, and our entire project/move was delayed due to this company's inability to properly coordinate and deliver. We were very happy with a recent PEX repiping of our house by Care Plumbing (raised foundation, two bath, laundry room, etc.). Their price was reasonable, all possible scenarios were discussed by the project manager, and nothing was a surprise. We used Care Plumbing fora repipe. Had to call them back to fix a few things, which was annoying given they are supposed to be professionals. Real customer service comes after a job is done and we had an issue with water coming into our home. Care Plumbing came out for a $130 fee to tell me it wasnt from their repiping. A second plumber came out to tell me it was the pipes leading into the water heater. Since I am not a plumber, I called Care Plumbing to make sure this leaking area was not part of the re-pipe. They agreed to send out another plumber to take yet another look. Without any discussion or permission, they cut multiple holes in my drywall. Beware as they literally damaged my home and then told me they wanted $400 to fix the drywall THEY DAMAGED. They created more problem for me than they fixed. They were also part of a Co-op called Thrive community! They also were the only company that included the permits and city inspection costs in their proposal. They had three crews & each crew protected our home and floors as if it was their homes. They completed the repiping in one day & had it inspected the next day! Care Plumbing Repipe- our repipe could have been a very different experience and outcome had communication with the crew and details been better. There was a language barrier which also was problematic and no foreman was around. It just felt like they didn't Care about details or finish work. We paid extra but did not get inspection passing paperwork 2. Crew moved insulation to insert pipes but the drywall crew did not replace it - I did say something after I noticed but the worker did not understand me until I showed him. 3. They installed a spigot in another location then discussed (we were home to consult with) and after it had to be moved because it was inches from a door. A friend of one of the Care workers from another repipe company came over after 6pm to relocate it. The spigot is a different style and they didn't have the materials needed so they had to compromise the sealing with alternate product. 4. We had in our contract to install some faucets which we didn't know wouldn't fit properly in our space -they installed then anyway and damaged the faucets making them unreturnable and leaky. Then they pointed it out as the crew was leaving. We were home and they could have said something so we could get the proper style. They threw out our existing working/non leaking faucets that also could have been reinstalled. 5. The drywall texture in some areas is less than blended and in one area 1/2" thick - we showed one of the crew members and he asked why we didn't fix it. After we made the final payment they assured us they would fix the problems. Response to emails: "The owner has been out of the office." It's been over a month. What a bummer- several neighbors have asked for referrals which we just don't feel we can provide. Be careful about making the final payment until everything is in order. read more

This company installed a tankless water heater, water softener and repiped my home. However, a pipe to the tankless water heater is leaking, the company promised to come back to my home 2 days ago to fix the leak and they never showed up. My outdoor flood lights were also stopped working after care plumbing had completed their work. I now had to hire a licensed contractor to find where care plumbing cut mistakenly cut the electrical wire in my attic and attempted to conceal it by using the plumbing tape. This faulty repair almost caused a fire in my house and I had to hire another contractor to locate and fix the problem. We had Carlos come out to provide an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and made some recommendations. They came in the middle coat of the three we received but we heard good feedback. We had them come to do the repipe. A crew of five showed up on time, protected our home from the potential mess, finished up the work in 5 hours then had the crew ready to go as soon as the inspector came and signed off to patch. You couldn't even tell where the holes were in the walls as the patches are that good. Both crews were smiling, laughing enjoying their work the entire time. Did a spectacular job. Left our home immaculate. Having been in construction business for 33 years, this is a quality outfit. Jenny from the office has called daily for updates, schedule of inspector and follow up.
