Prompt and personable, father and son, Albert and Alex arrived twenty minutes after taking our call to unclog the drain from the house to the street. After attempting to drop a camera from the roof to locate the fourth clean out covered by a paver, failed, they went to the clean out I often used when renting an auger from Home Depot. In a reverse, they used the hydro jet first, backing up the black sludge onto the pavers where Albert hosed it down to the street, while Alex used the auger to open the line. I've worked with Albert's Plumbing in the past and the quality of work was good, but communication and scheduling have consistently been a challenge. Unfortunately, this time has been even worse. He has missed two scheduled appointments in a row without any notice. After he failed to show up the first time, I had to track him down to reschedule--only for him to no-show again. My calls go straight to voicemail without a response, and texts are left unanswered. I rearranged my entire schedule to be home today. If you value your time as much as he does, this vendor is not the right choice for you. While I can't comment on the quality of service for the current job--replacing a leaking kitchen sink faucet--the overall value is nonexistent if you find yourself waiting without any communication. If reliability and responsiveness are important to you, I recommend looking elsewhere. This business may leave you hanging indefinitely and lacks the support or systems needed to manage their schedule and communication effectively, making them a non-starter. I hope they improve, as the work they have done in the past was good. However, the disruption caused by no-shows, lack of communication, and missed appointments is simply untenable. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. These reviews must be from friends and family. Albert came to assess a leak. He was SO rude and unprofessional. I asked him common questions like what his thoughts are on why the leak could be happening, so we try not to do it next time. He raised his voice responding "how do I know why this happened? I have to open the wall and see. What do you mean 'why did this happen? ' how am I supposed to know??". I said I understand, I'm just asking your thoughts as a professional. He kept trying to talk over me and raise his voice anytime I asked him a question. I then asked my tenants if they had just showered, when Albert interrupted and yelled "Why are you asking them? I told you I see the leak. I need to open your wall to fix it". I was confused on his mannerisms honestly. Right away he wanted $250 up front for his consultation fee, then told me he would invoice me for the rest after he opened the wall. I asked him to please stop yelling at me, then said I'm just trying to figure out what may have caused the leak. He said "I already told you! We don't know until we open the wall!!" I felt SO uncomfortable at this grown man yelling at me, I said I didn't need his services. He told me to pay him the $250 for showing up and yelling at me basically. Then (my tenant who understands Armenian) told me Albert proceeded to tell his son in Armenian what an idiot I was for asking dumb questions like why he thinks the leak is happening. Good riddance! We noticed that several of our faucets were leaking and it was clear that our regulator was not working. We called Albert and he was quick to diagnose the problem. He installed a new regulator the same day and everything was back to normal. While he was here we noticed a gurgling noise in the pipes of our kitchen. Albert inspected it and saw that a portion of our drain pipe was still galvanized steel and not plastic. We arranged a time when he would return with some help. Albert made the repairs and now everything is working fine. He showed me the blockage in the pipe after it was removed. Amazing how bad it had become. We originally called Albert's Plumbing sometimes back in September to unclog a shower drain. We called him the night before and he came out the next morning to unclogged our shower drain. Great service, nice guy, and he cleaned up great after himself. Then I forgot to leave him a review...and months went by. Fast forward till this past weekend. We stepped into our shower Friday night and the water just would not turn hot! We were panicking because we have a full weekend ahead of us and we weren't sure if anyone can come out last min on Saturday. It was already 9:30pm Friday evening when we called Albert. They were right! In less than an hour, Albert was at our house evaluating the problem. After and hour he had found the cause, fashioned a temporary patch, and provided valuable advice on dealing with the LADWP. I've just hired Al for the 3rd time and he is great! Quick service, visits on short notice, and always does superior work. This morning I showed my wife that our water heater was leaking and then I called Al to come check it out. He was over in 10 minutes and inspected it. 10 stars!! Albert's Plumbing was a lifesaver! Friday I realized I had a plumbing issue. Friday night I used Drano which indicated for best results use over night. Saturday morning still clogged. Called another plumbing company who had 2-4pm available. They came at 4pm used 100 foot snake with no luck. They indicated needed to hydro jet but didn't have equipment and would need to come back on Monday. Really - no plumbing for 2 more days. Didn't work for me.
