Went here for my 21st birthday a few nights ago and had the best time. Was there from about 8pm-midnight and for a Tuesday night, got pretty packed. A great thing I loved was the bartenders were not only super nice, but also very attentive. For example, I was there with my best friend and there was a guy making us pretty uncomfortable and just not leaving us alone. The bartenders recognized this and were able to get him away from us politely. I will definitely be coming back! I met a lot of great people there too so that was also amazing! 100% recommend!

Great dive bar in Charleston, cheap drinks and good music. Certainly a place where people go to get hammered at on the weekends. But if you're looking for a more lively spot while in the downtown area this would certainly be in your list.

The burgers and fries were really good, but you won't want to visit the restrooms. The patrons missed a lot and the smell was intense.

We were visiting Charleston for a week and our hotel was in walking distance of this place, a bit of a walk but, one none the less. We got turned onto this place from a local at another place we were at. It was divey from where we came from and our bartender was LUKE. Wow what a great time we had, we hung out for soo long. The vibe was fantastic the drinks were great. They even have a walk up window for food at the BOH. The cook seemed slightly grumpy but, meh whatever. I ordered the Tomato Soup (cold front came in) I asked the cook how it tastes he said it comes out of a can, great I haven't had that since I was small. Ordered that and Fried Poppers and Mushrooms. Surprisingly the Mushrooms were our fave they were perfectly fried and the cream sauce was delicious. The drinks depend on what bartender you get but, Luke is awesome, friendly and attentive. He also had some great recommendations for us and I bookmarked all suggestions. Got pretty crowded on the weekends so we returned on off time places and were surprised to find them open on a weekend early when the website says 11 a.m. I can't wait to go back. Luke made a really great Marg for me. Thanks for the great experience

THE BEST BAR FOOD IN LIFE! Walking into AC's early Friday night I didn't expect too much. This is just a regular bar with a good amount of TV's, very attentive bartenders, and lots of pool tables. I was hungry and saw the chili cheese burger on Yelp, so decided I would give it a go. It's a bar so like I said, I wasn't expecting much, but with one bite all my thoughts changed. The sandwich is a 1/2 pound angus beef patty of deliciousness drenched in your Grandma's famous chili, topped with wonderful, creamy yellow American cheese. Unless you are a wild one the fork and knife truly come in handy. The beef is well seasoned, the seasoned bun is a bit buttered and toasted perfectly, the chili is filled with peppers, onions, and has a little kick ! Definitely a bar to try for lunch, happy hour, late night or just to live your best life and be happy with yummy food.

I was a little skeptical about the black berries with the savory items but to my surprise it was soooo amazing! I also tied the blue crab bisque! Talk about flavor! My friend and I sat at our table for about 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I finally flagged down a waitress, who apologized and explained they were short staffed. She took our drink order, and then a different server came over later to take our food order. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap with no onions, but it came out with onions anyway. Our server was nowhere to be found, so I started picking around them and eating the wrap. A few minutes later, she came back with the corrected wrap, but by then I'd already started eating the first one. The flavors of the wrap were actually good, but the texture of the chicken was awful. It was so off putting that it honestly made me nauseous. I only managed a few bites before I was done, and no one ever asked if everything was okay or why I had barely touched my meal. That said, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The atmosphere is what really stands out. It feels like you're dining inside a church, and I believe it actually is a restored church. Between the stained glass, the artwork, and the writing on the walls, it's a really unique and impressive space. I'd probably come back for drinks because the bar looked like it had a great vibe, and the bartender seemed to be providing excellent service. Next time, I'd definitely sit at the bar, but I don't think I'd order the food again.

This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. We started with the Hunter Cattle Beef Tartare, topped with shoestring potatoes, smoked cheddar, and egg yolk jam. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. For drinks, one friend enjoyed a glass of wine while I ordered the Dragoon Punch. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to learn my beloved Primrose Path was no longer on the menu. I even asked if they could make one, but unfortunately they were missing one of the ingredients. No worries, the Dragoon Punch was delicious and a worthy replacement. Our server, Tal H., was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, informative, and guided us through the ever-changing menu with ease. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. My husband and I went to the restaurant side which is a large, redesigned Victorian style house. We went in as in Walk -Ins but reservations are recommended. The scallops and pork chop were some of the best we've had. The only slightly disappointing dish was the corn bread which was on the more dry side, however the collards more than made up for it. The only downside to this restaurant were the flies, I felt like I was battling both large and fruit flies my entire meal. There were so many. We were inside so I'm not sure where they were coming from. Would've been 5 stars had it not been for this.
