The food was good but overshadowed by the poor service. We were waiting for an outside table which they forgot and almost gave to people who came after us! Then we sat and waited for a good 15 min without so much as water. Getting our food took an extremely long time too and the place isn't big so not like they had a ton of tables to service. This is a cute place and I knew they had a more unique menu so I was anxious to try the food. I went with my husband for lunch and we were a bit disappointed. First of all, it is pretty expensive. Chili mac for $16 is pretty high. It tasted pretty good and came in a VERY hot serving plate...but the food itself was luke warm. I had the potato leek soup...which I usually LOVE...but again, it wasn't even hot. The flavor was "ok"...but it was super thick which I didn't like very much and the carmelized leeks looked kind of ugly and stringy in a pea soup looking soup. All in all, just didn't live up to my expectations. Nice servers and they were pretty fast...but I'm guessing because all of this food was just sitting in the back ready to go. Our bill for chili mac, a bowl of soup and 2 ice teas was about $34.00. Ouch! read more

We went with friends and were so excited to try it out because it's close to home. The inside is very cute and quaint. We all ordered burgers and each had one drink. The food was good, not great, and the beer selection was sufficient. Everything was good until the bill came. It was $100 for four people for HAMBURGERS!!!! We are all retired so $25 each for a burger and beer seems very excessive. I don't see us going back for that reason only. We can buy a LOT of groceries for $100! read more

I believe in this place. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. They've got some work to do to positively contribute to the food scene in Eastern WA / North Idaho. Only been once so can only speak to the fact the roasted avocado sandwich missed the mark on texture having no contrast, hostess didn't know what a saison was... and they had one on their tap list. Wife's salad was a "large". They should add another size for those that want an actual meal out of their salad order. Pretzel was good. The last sentence sums it up. It's just mediocre good. It's not Crafted or Saranac ' s pretzel. This place comes off as an imitator that has not yet carved out it's own. But they can do it. They just can't assume the public will be auto-charmed by familiar sounding beers and menu items indicative of a gastropub down the road. .. read more

Talked my husband into trying this place when we were in town from Boise. He was a bit concerned when we walked into a little house, but went along. What a pleasant surprise to hear him say it was one of the best burgers he has ever had! I had the Blue Burger with house made chips, so juicy and full of great flavors. i love the nacho! with that said not so much! hardly any chesse the best part is the onions and pepper. very hard to find them today .maybe i should have not added pork there was some on it was told $3 to add pork it was $4.50.mostly chips.do people not order coffee cause they had a tiny bit of creamer . they made a fresh pot the guy that helped me was very nice but when but when i asked the girl she was very rude said it takes a while my food alreadt came out lol. they were out of alot of items! on a good note very very very nice .very very busy but that sat people quickly very loud but that coud have been the big mouth at the other table . you sit very close so when somone is that lound its yelling in your ears . not in thier control .looks like that added more table they needed them. read more

We had the Republic burgers with a side salad. So delicious!! Our kids had ate all of their kids meals (Corn dogs and chicken) and loved it. The outside seating was perfect for us with a small grass area for our kids to sit on while waiting for our food. read more

Came over to post falls for dinner after the power got knocked out in Coeur D'Alene. Figured Republic would just be your typical pub fare but we were pleasantly surprised at the intricacies of the dishes. We started out with an excellent summer salad (star was the orange-flavored feta). I got an Asian-influenced fish and chips (including kimchi and pickled carrots) that was easily the best fish and chips I've ever had. My wife got the confit chicken tacos and loved them too. And although we were stuffed, we got the salted caramel brownie, and were not disappointed. Worth the trip even if staying in CDA. read more

We came her on a date night and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's like the good 'ol days. Food is great. Definitely get the belly snacks. Just trust me on that. It's a 1/2" maple-Applewood smoked bacon chunk with shaved ginger and garnished with Sirracha. Local craft beers on tap. If you haven't been here, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

Not sure what all the hype is about. We did not enjoy our experience, or the food. The place was cute, but cramped. Our drinks went empty multiple times. The soup was way too salty. Many things were over seasoned. The stone ground mustard was put on everything SO heavy handed that you could not taste anything else. The main reason we went here was due to the JALAPEÑO POPPERS in the reviews, BUT they no longer have those on the menu. Asked for some dipping sauce for fries, brought a little bit and charged us, which would of been fine if they informed us of a charge beforehand. I hate that. Seriously, hardly anywhere charges for fry sauce. Sad face. There was so much loud banging, between the slamming door and them trying to tap a new keg. It was even louder because of all the patrons trying to talk over each other in such a small space. Truly disappointed, we wanted this to be a gem. What a let down. Would have been better off throwing my $60 out the window and hoping to make a homeless persons night. read more

100% awesome place to stop by and grab a tasty treat and a beer or two. The staff are really friendly and tend to your needs every few minutes. The atmosphere is very creative with a lot of home made arts and lighting inside. This use to be an old house and was remodeled recently into this cute little hangout for some drinks and food. Keep in mind it's a beer only establishment. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer is absolutely one of a kind. It is not only healthy but it's so tasty you will beg for more! I enjoyed the monte christo grilled cheese and needless to say it was life changing. The bread was French toast and you can tell the raspberry jam served with it is the homemade good stuff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great with a nice patio surrounded by lots of pretty flowers. The crispy sweet potato salad was also to die for. Has the potential for greatness but needs to get some things dialed first. One simply being how to get into the house/restaurant. My wife and I walked passed it and around it and still ended up cutting across the deck to get in. Then our table of 6 literally sat there with water and menus waiting to order for over 15 minutes and we still had to track our waiter down. That was awful. Food was very good, plentiful and has a creative spin to it. The crispy chicken sandwiches are excellent but were a little overdone as parts of it on the edges were like jerky. Good effort on the duck carnitas but our guest was surprised that the duck was on the bone and she had to manhandle the meat off to get it onto the carnita. Overall the atmosphere and food were good and we hope they can get the kinks out. read more
