Ive been to this bar/ restaurant a few times. Usually it is a good time, but the last time that I visited a female bartended with short blonde hair was very rude to myself and a friend. We walked up to the bar to grab drinks, and she told us that we would have to " take our drinks and move along"..... Apparently the portion of the bar that we walked up to had someone already sitting there but the people were in the restroom. I understand that she was trying to let us know but there is a certain manner in which you should speak to a customer. My friend and I NEVER sat down, because our plan was to take the drinks to the outside drinking area. The waitress was rude for no apparent reason. Its not acceptable to talk to people any type of way. Its covid, so you should be appreciative that people want to visit your bar and spend money. Do better. read more

This was my third time coming out to The Reservoir and it continues to impress me. Both with the unique food, great atmosphere and having the best location in the area. Especially great for watching games (like we did for the Stars game). Their Captain Tenders are out of this world. Service is great, fast and friendly. I went with a large group from work with reservations. They were busy yes but that isn't an excuse for how poorly the waiter treated us. He was rude to several people in my party. The waiter would come with their head down as fast as possible ignoring anyone trying to get his attention. Some people in my group were trying to order but it was so hard to flag him down that they decided not to get food there. The food was fairly good at least. The drinks were watered down tasting though. I tried to get his attention for over 20 minutes to get my check because I wasn't feeling well. Eventually I went to the bar to ask for help and the lady bartender was very rude to me saying stuff under her breath and laughing at me just for asking her to help me pay my tab. All I wanted to do was pay and leave... it took so long! It was very very very hot in there restaurant which didn't help when feeling sick and just wanting to leave. Of course because it was a large group they automatically add the gratuity... but that shouldn't mean it's ok to not give good service. I am beyond disappointed with the whole experience. read more

So if i could give it zero stars i would. The waitress falisha was great no complaints there. Let's start with the bartenders they lied about having Hennessy but then proceed to pull out a brand new Hennessy bottle and sit it in plan view so that our table could see. Once i brought it to the waitresses attention she then said something to the two male bartenders and one then argued with her and still wouldn't serve the Hennessy. The food was descent. Then the grand finale, as we finished our food while deciding If we wanted another drink we watched the manager walk over to the far left side when coming in the front door go to the side and began to wipe and blow his nose. First it was with a a paper towel and then with his bare hand. DID NOT wash his hand then went back to the line and began to prepare dishes to go out for serving. He then did it again and still did not wash his hands. If you like to get poor bar service and denied premium liquor that you're paying for then this the place for you. Reservoir has been one of my favorite restaurants for quite some time now. I have been to this location and the Fort Worth location multiple times without issues. I went tonight and it was AWFUL. I went with 5 other people and there weren't any tables so we got a drink at the bar while we waited. We finally got a table and waited OVER 30 MINUTES and still no one even came to give us water! The waitress walked by us multiple times and saw us with no water and empty drinks (that we got from the bar) and we also went up and asked for service and still no one came to serve us. We ended up leaving because the wait was so incredibly long. As we were leaving, I told her we were heading out because we never got served on. She responded "Well you guys went to the bar first." Completely unacceptable. She then proceeded to place a couple at the table we were at and immediately took their drink order. Rude, disrespectful and just overall terrible service. She took a table of 2 over a table of 6... her loss. Will not be returning to this location. Atrocious. read more

Alrighty....as a 30+ year restaurant professional who began his career as a 14 year old dishwasher... I've seen it all... good, bad, and otherwise. Stopped by for a drink and a snack possibly a meal. .. this before a concert . My wife and another couple wanted first a beer but a meal as well...I checked out 2 different bars and got the invisible man treatment...as if I didn't occupy the space I stood in Even asked a stressed out server what I need to do or where I need to stand to get an overpriced warm beer? She laughed and went on her way...now, as I stated before I'm a General Manager of a popular Dallas restaurant and certainly understand how a busy night or unexpected hit by ...oh maybe a concert? In any event one prepares with staffing, having enough cold beer on hand, etc....udderly ridiculous that they ran out of popular beers, cut lines, anything else you can think of... never been busy before? They desperately needed a leader other than the guy who was running around clearly overwhelmed trying to placate staff and dodge upset guests all the while! I bartend in the music factory and walked in wearing my work logo. After tipping the female bartender 10$ and specified how I wanted my martini(She seemed weeded and was visibly done for the night) Anyhow we went to the opposite side of the bar where it seemed much slower. The drink was for my wife and it took the male bartender literally 4-5mins to even acknowledge us and ask if we were ok. I asked politely if we could get the martini remade and he replied as if it was a heavy duty chore. We were definitely stereotyped. I don't ask anything for free but please for your business sakes talk to your bartenders about controlling their emotions during stressful times and to be aware of other service industry people that go I'm there. My wife and I have been here about 6 times. We love the food. The turkey burger is the best in town, especially if you get it on the jalapeno cheese bun. Would've wrote this sooner but have been ill and in the hospital. On Wednesday around midnight (July 10,2019), a male friend and I came to eat dinner. We sat at the bar by 3 other males. After so long I kept hearing racial slurs/words/remarks being made my one of the 3 males sitting next to us. Not once did I say anything but my male friend kept hearing it too and eventual asked nicely to stop constantly saying things. He replied with that he is only singing songs which was a lie but even so why would you sing things like that around a black person when you know they aren't okay. So not once did he deny saying anything he just tried to justify it. So instead of just not saying it anymore while we were sitting next to them, things became heated and the other 2 guys stood up agonizing him to fight, he came and sat back down because all we wanted was for them to stop saying it not fight? But instead of letting it go one of the guys screams out "you know everyone in Texas has a gun". Now being to make verbal threats about shoots and killing my friend. For about 15-25 minutes this went on. Even when they left and went outside they were agonizing and still making threats from the window for about another 10 minutes they weren't trying to leave. Bar tender "Whitney" comes out screaming, swearing, making the situation worse. Whitney (a white woman) then begins to scream to me (a black woman) how she's sick of racism as if she's ever dealt with it and while racism is going on in her establishment she then says I should've have been offended nor should I have said anything. So for one I never said anything but I guess since I was the only black person there I had to have been the one to start it. And second I shouldn't be offended at non black people for making racial slurs? And when I explained why I was offended or what was said she then stated she didn't even hear what was said to begin with. So you didn't hear anything that was said but then tell us we shouldn't have been offended. And try to explain the situation, she then screams how I need to get the fuck out because I'm being argumentative and she's going to call the cops. At this point she keeps screaming loudly, and every time I try to say anything screams at me and over me constantly cutting me off. I mean who wouldn't get frustrated when someone won't let you get a word out and the boom says your being argumentative when that was her. So you call the cops on me for being "argumentative" when I wasn't but that's besides the point because the 3 men made several statements about shooting us, how "you know everyone has a gun in Texas, right?", how he's going to "kill my friend". No once did she call when the 3 men were in literally fighting stances with their fist up more than once trying to punch my friend? She let this go on for over 15-20 minutes but as soon as I say anything she calls the cops INSTANTLY ON ME, for being argumentative. She could've cared less about what was said she was more worried ya defending and standing up for ourselves. If you want to call me sticking up for myself, defending myself and not letting you say whatever because you didn't even hear what was said if that's being argumentative than so were you? Telling my I shouldn't have been offended by racism as a black women who wouldn't want to decent themselves? But I see the cops were calling on me because I'm black but not the guys threatening to shoot us. Thank you Whitney. So if you're black and someone is being racist in their establishment they won't care at all. They'll only care if you call someone out on their racist behavior. I'm sure you guys still have video footage, I'm sure you can see and hear everything. It's obviously you have an issue here with your service seeing that y'all barely just open and every other comment is about the people that work there. Been here a few times, and only because of the great location to my apt and fun patio seating. Before I start, I want to echo the other reviewers comments about how weird it is that this place is still unclaimed on Yelp by the owners. Shady. Anyway, the first time my husband and I came, we ordered some cocktails off the menu and 2 mains with dessert. It's not really meant to be a "nice" place, which you can tell as soon as you see the way the servers are dressed and the primary customers it attracts in the later hours - but I guess that's what this place is going for. The food was mediocre as to be expected (the nacho fries were some of the worst I've ever had while the cobbler dessert was actually quite good) but the main reason this place got 2 stars is the drinks. It should have great drinks given the location, late hours, and price! But no, in total in the 3 times we've come here I sampled every cocktail offered on the menu as well as a few regular well drinks. The cocktails taste like they belong at a kids b-day party, loaded with TONS of sugar and literally no taste of any alcohol. I'm a petite female and there's something wrong if you don't feel anything at all after 3 cocktails in a row. I experienced this issue every time I went, and I suspect they really under-pour the liquor here. When we got frustrated and switched to well drinks it was the same situation but without the overwhelming sweetness. No taste of alcohol, just soda and TONS of ice. I won't be returning at this point just because there's so many better places with the same view nearby that give you the option to relax and know you're getting the alcohol you're paying for with better food. read more

We went ther tonight and had high hopes for the place. We like the area of the Toyota Music Factory, The food was descent, but the service was ok at best. Somehow our appetizers and drinks came out much more then the menu says. $3.50 appetizer was all the sudden $11.00. The $4.50 well was all the sudden $8.50. When we asked about it we were told that is what the menu said. No, the menu only gave the happy hour specials which is what we ordered as we pointed to them. Not the way to do business! If there was an option for less than 1 star, it would be given! We are by no means food snobs are are actually frequent bar flyers and patrons. This was by far the worst food ever had at a bar- the wife had chicken and waffles which was basically a large cake with battered chicken on top. I had the cheeseburger with fries and lacked any flavor anywhere, compleatly dry and 0 seasoning or taste to be found. The link between the 2? the fries and the chicken both tasted exactly like fish! disgusting all around! I would assume the same oil used for fish was used to fry the chicken and fries, or cross contamination is located somewhere. Even the waitress tried the chicken and the fries in front of us and agreed how terrible it was... comp'd? NOPE! Had lunch today at Reservoir. Had to wait 15 minutes at 2:45 for brunch to be over so that we could order lunch. My wife's lunch choice was delivered wrong and mine was cold even though its served in an iron skillet. The waitress tried to explain that she did not make the mistake, the kitchen staff screwed up, and then she neglected to bring us water until we asked for the check. Restaurant was not busy, not sure if they truly care about serving food hot and in a timely manner. I will not be back any time soon. read more
