I wish I would have contacted them sooner!! So grateful for these guys! Hector came out to fix my windshield and was amazing. Punctual, professional, and I was in awe of how quickly he was able to finish installing my whole front windshield. Literally in under an hour. I usually get so stressed when I have to get my car fixed because I feel like people try to take advantage of me and upsell services. I didnt feel that at all today. Hector had such a great energy about him and was so friendly. It was so comforting to know that something that was such a big headache over the past few months was fixed in under an hr. I am sooo thankful. I was originally going to go with Safelite but they gave me some excuse how there was rust under the windshield (without even taking it off) and that they wouldn't be able to do it. Safelite even removed the rubber part that goes between the windshield without replacing it. I didnt notice until Hector pointed it out but he said that he'd fix that with a smile. Safelite was weird and sus, so didn't want to bother with their bs, even if it was free thru my insurance. Asked around for quotes on yelp from other businesses. On yelp someone quoted me $295. I like to think I'm a calm and collected person, but then it's a Friday afternoon, I'm driving home from work ready to enjoy the extended NYE weekend, and all of a sudden I see a FOOT LONG CRACK RUNNING FROM THE TOP OF MY WINDSHIELD. Mind you, my baby, er, car, is only 7 months old. 7 MONTHS!! And did I mention it's a Friday afternoon before a long weekend? I immediately hop on my trusty Yelp app and look for auto glass repair shops. I find one and fire off a request for a quote, providing information on my car make, model and year. Afterward, I notice that Yelp has found a number of other repair shops and is giving me the option to bulk message them all - score!! Moe N. from Cost-U-Less Auto Glass responds within minutes with a quote and the offer to come straight to my door. I quickly realized that I forgot to tell him that my car has lane departure and defrosting features, so the second quote is slightly higher, but not too much. Other places have also responded to my request for a quote, but they're all much higher, and many tell me that they'll be closed from Saturday all the way through until Tuesday, 1/3/17. California's Vehicle Code Section 26710 is as follows - It is unlawful to operate any motor vehicle upon a highway when the windshield or rear window is in such a defective condition as to impair the driver's vision either to the front or rear. In the event any windshield or rear window fails to comply with this code the officer making the inspection shall direct the driver to make the windshield and rear window conform to the requirements of this code within 48 hours. The officer may also arrest the driver and give him notice to appear and further require the driver or the owner of the vehicle to produce in court satisfactory evidence that the windshield or rear window has been made to conform to the requirements of this code. ^^ That said, I reallyyy did not want to have to wait until Tuesday. Moe offered me a great price and two time windows for the very next day (Saturday). He had great communication the day of and the repairman, John, showed up exactly when promised. (Note: At this point in time they do not accept credit card, but can accept cash or check.) John told me it would take about 45 minutes to complete the replacement and afterward, had me take a look at the work and sign off on an invoice. He noted that I should try not to drive the car for at least an hour, and then not to have it go through a car wash for about four days. I've been driving my car around since then and haven't noticed anything wrong with the windshield at all. The defrost and lane departure features still work just as well as with the original factory windshield, too. Thank you so, so, so much Moe and John! I got in contact with moe late on Friday night because someone had broken into my wife's new Jeep Grand Cherokee . Moe gave me a fair price and had one of his employees Burhan came the next morning for the repair. Burhan came in the window slot given by Moe and did a great job ! It took only about an hour since that specific window that needed to be replaced is a little tricky. The only thing that I will have to figure out is all the glass that is stuck in the bottom of the door frame. Might have to find a specific vacuum connect that can fit in that narrow opening. This past weekend, some idiot decided to take out their frustrations and unhappiness in life on my poor rear window. I sent out five request a quote through Yelp on a Sunday morning. Moe at Cost-U-Less replied back within an hour and was the lowest estimate. I called Moe Monday morning and he was able to set an appointment time for me that same afternoon. He called me when his technician was about to leave for my location. Omar arrived and went to work and took less than an hour to clean up the shattered remains and replace the rear window. At first I was so worried about the rain sensor on my windshield, I was thinking it's gonna mess up and needs to recalibrate. Recalibration is so expensive, but then Moe explained to me that there's a possibility of 10 percent that needs to be recalibrate and he said that all of the windshield that they installed with sensors didn't need to recalibrate.
