This worked just like it is supposed to. I had a salvage Prius that needed a new windshield, so requrested quotes from three wel rated glass shops in the Pittsburg area. All responed. Moe, from Cost-U-Less was the first and had the best price. This was Saturday. We arranged for his man to come anytime on Monday. He gave me a ballpark time of 2-4 pm. His man arrived at 3 and was done by 3:45. I thought he did an excellent job. My windshield had a huge crack in it and needed to be replaced. I called Cost-U-Less and they answered immediately. I let them know I needed my windshield replaced and so the man asked me a few basic questions about my car. He then asked if he could give me a call back with a quote. After a very short amount of time (about 2 minutes or so,) he called back with a quote. They quoted me $299 (I drive a 2012 Fiat 500) out the door. I have had my windshield replaced once before in Washington state and it was $279 in shop. I am happy to pay $299 in California, for this convenient mobile service to come to me. The employee then went on to say that they can replace my windshield as early as the next day, and that they can come to my house, my work, or wherever I would like them to. I let them know that I would be home all day and that is the best location for me. We set an appointment time and he was very pleasant and friendly! I did get a call later that day, as there was an issue with getting the glass for my windshield. He apologized profusely and asked that we push back the appointment time a couple of hours. I understand that not everything can always go perfectly smooth. I was just fine with pushing back the appointment by a couple of hours, and I really appreciate that they called me instead of just showing up late. Anyway, a technician named Tony came the next day and replaced my windshield and he was very pleasant and everything was great! I want to say it took about an hour to replace the windshield? I didn't time it but I am very happy with Cost-U-Less Autoglass and I will recommend them to anyone in need of windshield replacement! And I will give them a call if I ever need another windshield replaced (but hopefully I won't need to)! read more

Thanks to some human rodent smash and grab type I had the back passenger side door window of my Toyota FJ smashed out. I did Satellite's online estimate which came in at 430.00 plus. Then, I drove into the place the car dealer recommended. 225.00. However, it's a rare window I guess. They called around and found out they couldn't even order it. I left scratching my head on that one. What kind of glass dealer can't order glass for a Toyota? My next call ... Cost-U-Less. 229.00. The guy (I wish I had his name) met me in a nearby parking lot 1 hour later with the glass. 35 more minutes and I was on my way. I set up an appointment for our windshield replacement two days prior and on the day of service, no one ever called us or even showed up. After waiting two more hours past our "two" hour window, I called them and was told I would be contacted by a technician (no apology...nothing). Once the technician finally called me, we had an even harder time communicating due to a language barrier and he said "tomorrow"? UGH! So, glad my Honda dealer referred me to Bayside Autoglass. Just got the rudest call from this place. Glad I didn't give them my business. I left a message to cancel my appointment yesterday. Today I get a call from the tech saying that he was on his way. I told him I cancelled and offered my most sincere apology for the misunderstanding. I honestly feel bad he wasted his time and I don't like to leave people hanging (which is why I called to cancel my appointment). But then I get a salty call from a guy at the shop, telling me I should have called to cancel because the tech drove out all the way from San Francisco. First of all, I did. No one answered so I left a voicemail. I made sure to state my name TWICE. Made sure to state my phone number TWICE so that there would be no mistake. He said he didn't get anything. We pretty much had a short back and forth where he basically accused me of lying. Well, it isn't my fault that either A. You didn't check your messages, or B. Your answering machine is faulty. The way he went about it and the tone he used was just completely rude and disrespectful. The whole call was unnecessary to begin w Im already pretty stressed out, having my car broken into yesterday and all. I don't need to be getting rude calls from bitter businesses. Good to know this is how you treat people. I'll spread the word. And as you said when you rushed me off the phone, have a good day. I usually don't make post but whenever someone is honest and does great work I will definitely do that. I had a rock hit my windshield about a month ago, and the crack just got bigger and bigger. So I went to all your usual windshield repair companies and they all told me that my car needed not only a replacement but I need a calibrated because I have a sensor which that makes sense, Well I did some research and saw that a lot of times the calibration I'll just come back on it's own, but nooooo all the other companies said it was mandatory, Except cost U less auto glass, he said most of the time it will calibrate itself back I don't want to just take your money. He said I will change the glass and if it doesn't calibrate I can set you up with someone. Rear passenger side quarter panel window smashed inside my "secure" garage near Civic Center in San Francisco. Called Cost U Less late Thursday afternoon, Moe took some notes and told me he'd have a service person out between 11a-3p Friday, less than 24 hours from my initial call. Moe gave me a courtesy call a half hour before my tech Omar arrived. Omar got there right on time, was super friendly and professional, replaced the window in about a half hour, and then took extra time to vacuum the broken glass out of the rear compartment and back seat of my CRV. And it was the best price I could find out of three calls to other mobile window companies. It sucks to have to deal with all these break-ins, but it's great to deal with Cost U Less. This company states that they fix your windshield on the same day and 60 minutes - which is a lie! I booked an appointment for next day and they forgot to disclose that they needed to order the window now. They said it will be ready until Monday. No thank you! I just received a final reply (via email) regarding the replacement of a windshield on a lease. The leasing company requires OEM for such replacements. That is a question I had to ask before proceeding, so I did (for the quote, was the windshield OEM). The following was the response: "It's after market and it don't matter for lease return as long as its the right glass ,we do lots of lease cars...... n if you want a oem it's goin to be Over $800 for sure..... thanks" While I appreciate the response (I guess? Some companies simply ignore quote requests), it also let me know this is not a company I want replacing the windshield. The reply is extremely unprofessional (specifically in tone). If Cost-U-Less Auto Glass does "lots of lease cars" that is wonderful, however, this is a German luxury vehicle and has the strict return requirements that come with it. If the company requires OEM, I HAVE to listen to them. Otherwise, the possible problem is to pay for an aftermarket windshield now, and upon lease return inspection, have them tell me the windshield must be OEM. So I then would have paid for two windshields. I appreciate Cost-U-Less possibly trying to save me some money (I suppose, who knows?), but not in the manner shared or conveyed. The way the response was written, it made it appear as though my ask of whether or not the windshield was OEM was either silly or a burden. How would I know otherwise? The previous replies did not specify if it was. Also, the $800 jab (I mean, quote) is mysteriously significantly higher than the dealer price. Not certain if that dollar amount was out of the air, but if it were to have an effect which would make me agree to the aftermarket installation, it did the opposite. I know the higher costs that come with driving my vehicle and as such, am not going to complain about it. I pay more for the car; I have no issue paying more for servicing and repairing it. But do not try to get over on me and quote me higher than the actual dealer. Everyone knows dealers charge more for everything, so the quote was ridiculous. Your name, after all, is Cost-U-Less Auto Glass. I presume the company might be acceptable for many other auto glass services (I may never know). But if I were driving a leased vehicle of a luxury brand, I would be cautious to take their word. It just might "Cost-U-More" in the end. read more

I finally got my windshield replaced after having a crack over 14". I've been driving with a cracked windshield for over 6 months. I called this company for a quote and they responded quickly. The tech did a good job and it would have been 5 stars if the tech would have given me a receipt after completion. I had to call/email the company requesting a receipt. After 2 weeks and when I call them they finally gave me one via snapshot. I would recommend this guys but remember to ask for a receipt when the job is done. read more
