Residence Inn is usually not my top choice amongst Marriott properties, but this location is the exception. I stayed here while I was competing in the Boston Marathon Tough Ruck. The staff were VERY friendly and greeted me each time I went and out of the property, The rooms were modern and nice for a Residence Inn and most importantly, the bed and pillow were comfortable. The area overall is so pretty. I plan on racing again next year and I plan on staying here again. read more

As the name implies, this Residence Inn has many of the same amenities in each room: an induction stove, refrigerator, and a dishwasher which is nice for extended stays. The pool like the room is generally well maintained. One negative is that there isn't a concierge present at the front desk at all times (I arrived after 8pm and the receptionist came out of a back office to check me in). read more

The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly, however I have two complaints that made the stay difficult. #1 when you flushed the toilet, the sink and the shower heavily gurgled. #2 the HVAC was so loud and loudly clicked on and off all night, with wide temp extremes, making it impossible to sleep through the night. read more

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite, I use this chain exclusively and have never had the experience I just had. I arrived a day early to rest before work but ended up moving out of the hotel at 11:00 pm with my crew. We had three rooms for one week. My room was dirty beyond acceptable as ready for a new customer. The sofa was soiled. The countertops were dirty and not cleaned. The garbage disposal was out of service and full of old garbage. The kitchen floor had visible dirt marks. The list goes on. I asked for a new room as this one had to be placed out of service--the front desk assigned a new room for me. The new room had an intense humidity stale odor, so I opened the window in hopes that it would go away. It didn't. The carpet was soaking wet from God knows what. I needed three rooms for my team, and they had none for me. I had to look for a new hotel at 10:30 pm and move out for the THIRD time. The entire hotel was filthy. All hall carpets were dirty. Every common surface looked like they haven't been in a long time. All floors looked dirty. The elevators were dirty. I don't know what happened there, but it needs to be fixed ASAP. read more

Beautiful, fairly new hotel. The entire place is meticulously maintained. Our room was spotless and spacious. The free breakfast in the morning was fully stocked with fresh cut fruits, scrambled eggs and bacon, a waffle making station and more. Even the coffee bar was well stocked with syrups, cream, milk, etc. Not exactly convenient to Boston but only about a 40-60 min drive with light traffic. Definitely would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. read more

This Marriott hotel has to be one of the very best that I've been to. The location is very odd since it's located next to medical buildings and there's a prison right behind it but don't let that scare you away. This hotel is fairly new and the rooms are pretty big. Each room comes with a full size fridge, stove top, all cooking and eating utensils and even a dishwasher. This makes one month trips a breeze since you can cook and not have to eat out ever single day. The washer and dryer are updated as well so you can use a debit card or credit card and not have to get quarters. The parking lot is huge so there's never an issue of overcrowding and they even have parking for eco friendly drivers with their electric vehicles and charging stations. The free breakfast every morning is nice but I love how they have cold coffee as well as hot coffee for those muggy hot mornings in Massachusetts. One last thing, it's a pet friendly hotel. WINNING! So if you're ever working at Devens, Massachusetts don't stay at the hotels that are right across the street. Stay at this one and you'll love it. I'll start with the pros: Very clean, practically brand new rooms. Well-outfitted with a dishwasher, full size fridge, stove, and breakfast bar. Spacious room, well-functioning A/C unit, nice TV, blackout blinds, and no smells, stains, or other issues. Free breakfast, and overall, a nice and clean hotel. Also, the front desk staff were friendly and professional. Now for the cons: the bed was hard and uncomfortable. There is also very little sound proofing between floors and I was on the 2nd floor and could hear the person above me stomping around late at night AND at 6 am... I had asked for a top floor room, and was denied. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a top floor room. The stomping echoes and is very loud! Also, I arrived at 9 pm on a weeknight and there was literally NOTHING in terms of restaurants/food options nearby. I ended up driving to a Stop & Shop and getting a sandwich...blech. Also, I attempted to heat something in the microwave and sparks flew out of it and then it stopped working... blew a fuse, maybe? I was too tired to ask the front desk for help. Overall, this is a decent hotel for a night or two, but I've stayed in better places, especially for $200+ per night. read more

The hotel has potential to be a good if the management improves. The property looks lovely but the hotel didn't function well. The bedroom window was open when we arrived and couldn't be shut fully because of a broken lever. Multiple electrical outlets didn't work including in the only one in the bathroom. The staff seemed disinterested in dealing with guests. Refused to check us in while they had a conversation for five minutes. Had a charge on my credit card for incidentals which we didn't use. Manager acknowledged that we didn't have any additional charges but refused to remove it. Kept saying it was the banks fault. read more

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We travelled with an Autist young adult lady; who loves to use your pool & chat with Chelsie & Jess. I was thrilled to be able to use your luggage cart even in the elevator this was one of the nicest places we stayed in during our fall trip to Massachusetts. There is an amazing ice cream shop in town the managers recommended we try; it was amazing! Thank you everyone for always making our stay comfortable and peaceful :) See you all again soon. Our first impressions were great. The hotel was easy to get too (while skiing at Nashoba). It was clean and welcoming, and the room looked nice: kitchenette, king bed, swivel tv, and pullout couch. Unfortunately the pullout couch had a thin mattress (like a playpen crib) that was too flimsy even for kids, and the king bed wasn't that comfortable either. The hotel has a gym and pool, so it's decent for a couple but not for a family. In fact they said they have NO rooms with double beds here, only with pullout couches :( read more

My bathroom light don't work and the maintenance man stated he knows and has had the lights for over a year to repair them. The entire first day for over 6 hours a dog barked in a room next to me causing multiple rooms to complain. You can hear the tv and people talking in the adjacent room. With the exception of the dismissive Manager I spoke with the rest of the staff have been friendly . The room was clean and spacious. Internet is suitable, printer wouldn't print for us. But they do have a business computer. The fitness center was nice and very clean. They have a laundry room $2 each for wash and dryer. They have plenty of free parking. The Residence Inn Boston Concord is a fairly new and meticulously maintained extended-stay hotel with a modern and contemporary aesthetic. The location has advantages and disadvantages. It's located about 20 miles from downtown Boston in a quiet business park, so there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance from the hotel. However, it's a short drive to a variety of shops and restaurants in Concord and Maynard as well as the historic landmarks in the area including Minuteman National Park, Walden Pond and the Old North Bridge. As an extended-stay hotel, the studio and one-bedroom rooms are each equipped with kitchenettes (with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, a two-burner cooking range, and a variety of dishes and cookware) and a comfortable seating area for working or relaxing. Our room on the third floor, which faced the rear parking lot and a brook running along the edge of the property, was very quiet and the blackout curtains kept the room nearly pitch black for a very restful night's sleep. The hotel has a cozy bar located in the lobby for a casual drink in the evening and offers terrific amenities such as a complimentary breakfast buffet, a well-equipped fitness center and swimming pool, and conference rooms. We took advantage of the complementary breakfast buffet -- which includes scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausage patties, bagels and bread, cold cereals, hot oatmeal, greek yogurts and granola, fresh fruit, a waffle station, and hot and iced coffee -- each morning. This property is poorly managed. Stay away from this property. The manager decided to cancel my room last minute without any notification. First I was told by the desk it was because they were oversold. Then I was told that it was because the heat was out. When you're flying to another state for a trip that's been booked for weeks, the last thing you want is this type of disruption and stress. Things I liked: - check in on the app and just grab your key on the way in - staff was really friendly and they actually received and granted my requests for check-in (high room, away from elevator, foam pillows) - cookies and bottled water at check in and check out - room was spacious and bed was comfy - real coffee maker with extra coffee and microwave popcorn - dishes and silverware came in handy when the crappy thai place delivered my food with no napkins or chopsticks even though I gave them a hotel address - bar in lobby - very effective window shades kept the room really dark at night - water pressure in shower is excellent - workout room well appointed - breakfast available in the morning (didn't eat, so can't comment on quality) - check out was a breeze; checked out on the app and just mentioned it to the desk - emailed receipt is really handy for expense reporting Things I didn't love: - no fan in bathroom, only vents - housekeepers knocked on my door on check out day - HVAC VERY loud; recommend leaving the fan on constant to avoid the loud bang when the HVAC fires up. Figured out this tip about 3 am :( - location is not really near anything and very difficult to find Overall I will plan on staying here whenever I visit my customer in the area. read more

Horrible experience for the newlyweds and guests. When I arrived Saturday 9:02 pm at the bar, the mother of the bride asked for drinks for my nephew and I to be put on her room. A large blonde woman with garish red lipstick told her No, the bar is closed (it closed at 9pm). Bride was told the bar would be open for her guests for sn after party but when we arrived back to the hotel, she was told the bar was closed and everyone had to get put of the bar area. I tried to rent the meeting room and Manager Mark said no and mentioned the liquor license. According to Massachusetts state law, bars and restaurants can serve to 2 am on Sundays. They lied to the bride to get the business. Absolutely despicable! read more

We got married at a micro wedding at a nearby venue and stayed at the Residence Inn for 2 nights for our wedding. Our stay was perfect; the rooms were very clean, modern and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, really nice spacious shower, good couch and nice quiet room. We felt very safe with the Inn's cleaning practices during covid, they did a great job with keeping everything sanitary and safe. The staff was also extremely kind and accommodating and let me use one of the inn's meeting rooms for hair and makeup. They sanitized the room and made sure it was set up for me. We also really appreciated that the rooms had a kitchen and it was a nice touch that they had breakfast "to go" during covid to ensure everyone's safety. We had a wonderful stay and experience here! Nothing really wrong with the property. It is a standard Residence Inn or middle of the road business hotel. I do NOT like the fact they allow pets. Could hear dogs barking in the hallways. Room was clean and bed was comfortable which are my primary concerns on 1-2 day business trips. Food is limited and the hotel and the front desk staff during my stay had NO CLUE about options to eat in the area. She offered me one take out menu to a pizza place. This hotel was great! Free parking, complimentary breakfast and the room...the room had a full size fridge with a stove and microwave. Dishes, utensils and even tide pods if you need to do laundry. Paul Mitchell toiletries. My dad loved the breakfast options and the shower. (He loved the hot water and the water pressure lol) The location seems a little unusual but was not a problem whatsoever. Staff was very friendly and helpful to our questions. On our last day we woke up to snow falling outside our window. It made it all seem lovelier. The building is new so everything is in good working order. Parking is plentiful as well, and the location was close to everything I needed visit. My suite was spacious and well appointed with everything I needed for the week. Hot water was plentiful and shower pressure was good. Bring an extra HDMI cable if you need to plug your laptop into the TV to work. Wifi was flaky and unreliable although signal strength at the far end of the building was fine, so I imagine there are a few kinks still being worked out. Most of the staff was very helpful. Everyone at the front desk was fantastic, and provided me with additional information about the area, traffic, etc. The bartenders however were very business-like; you can't joke with them or ask anything out of the ordinary. The breakfast was far better than anything I've had in a hotel for a long time. I heard the pool was laughably small, so consider that if a pool is important to you. But for me, if these issues are all I have to complain about, that's a win. read more

Stayed here with my mother so we could visit relatives in the area. No problem finding parking and checkin was friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, comfortable and spacious. Mattresses were nice. Breakfast room offered lots of options and the coffee was quite drinkable. Work out room was well-equipped and machines were all in good working order. Wifi worked for me. We stayed and ate at the bar one night because it was pouring rain. We had a flatbread pizza and nachos. Bartender was kind enough to make my mother a fresh pot of decaf. I didn't realize until we went to check in that we were arriving on their opening day! Now I can say I've been the first person to ever sleep in a hotel room :) Staff did an excellent job for their first day. We were greeted, and checked in promptly. Managers were on hand for any questions or hiccups that may come up with a new staff/building/system and everything went smoothly. Rooms and accomodations are great, bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked and ready to go with stainless appliances. Building is hard to find/get, the GPS didn't quite take us far enough down the road (there were 3 of us in 3 separate cars, so it wasn't just me!) so hopefully they will get a couple of signs explaining where to go. The lighting in the rooms in this hotel is amazing! The hotel is still very new opened in 2016. Breakfast was tasty and lots of options. Check in and check out was fast and easy. One can't hear the other rooms next to one's room so from a noise standpoint it is great (i.e. no loud noises when one wants to go to sleep). I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying at it again! read more
