We bought a new house and needed a deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms. Just scheduling an…read moreappointment was frustrating. They got the appointment date completely wrong at first, which we luckily discovered early enough and clarified. But even on the day of cleaning which was scheduled originally at 9am, they sent a text at 8:30am saying the cleaners would be there at 1pm. Two cleaners arrived "early" at 12:45pm, and had a can-do, professional attitude. We told them we wanted a deep clean with a focus on various areas including the fridge. They said no problem, and that we did not need to be present during the cleaning, so we got out of their way and left. 1.5 hours later, we get a text saying they had finished with accompanying pictures, which looked good. However, when we got back home, we were shocked at the lack of detail and thoroughness of their work. They had only done a decent surface level clean, but ignored all the details we expected of a deep cleaning service. There were cobwebs and a dead spider left under the bathroom vanity. There were piles of swept up dust left in the corners. The countertops had residual dirt and grit on them. And the worst part was that we were going to be charged $300 because of their minimum 2 hours of labor policy, even though the cleaners finished in 1.5 hours and did not even touch the fridge. We complained to the company's owner, and after a long back and forth we were offered 2 options: to have another cleaner come to reclean the following week, or just pay $225 for the 1.5 hours of labor (advertised as a "discount" due to our lack of satisfaction). Because we were unable to fit another re-clean in our schedule, and our complete lack of confidence in their scheduling accuracy, we chose to just pay for the poor job that was done and deep clean the kitchen and bathroom ourselves. If you want an amateur surface level clean and poor customer service, then Merry Maids will be a good match. However if you actually want a decent deep cleaning job done well from a company that takes pride in their work, search elsewhere.

There were scruff marks on several locations on the floor that weren't there when I left that morning. None of the windows in any of the rooms were cleaned as we had specified. The a.c. vent and kitchen hood in the living room were not even wiped. They charged us $375. ($100/hour). What they did, I could have done in less time and would have actually cleaned it. Worst service ever. I would never use them again. #neverhiremerrymaids #worstservice #merrymaids #neverhire

All the terrible things you read about this property management company are indeed true. They have…read moresome really nice houses under their umbrella, despite that RUN. First off you're not getting the majority of your deposit back, no matter how you care for or clean upon move out. They will charge you to repaint the whole unit, take money off for cleaning and other things that simply don't make sense. My daughter and her friends lived here for one year and as parents we were on their lease. The leases are written terribly, and the times of move in and move out will be in the middle of months yet you will be paying the entire month. The leasing agent will explain that for example for 10 months the total is 50,000 and they just divide that to 5k a month for August 15-May 15. Be prepared. The maintenance people are so to respond and you will have to keep inquiring. Also at this unit they stored items in the basement so the maintenance people who enter just to get stuff that had nothing to do with the care of this specific unit. When you're thinking, I don't wanna move again maybe we should stay another year you will learn they are raising the rent so much that you must cut your losses and go. Trash pick up is inconsistent, and again they charged us upon move out for trash removal when we did not leave any: guessing other tenants did and they just charged everyone. I didn't have the energy to take them to small claims court. They are definitely lacking ethics, customer service or interest in protecting their tenants. Many items were stolen from outside the units while living here, keep your scooters and anything of value inside.

Life Pacific University - Class of 2008! I missed this place!

I think the current and prospective students deserve to know about the kind of environment they are…read moregoing into to guarantee whether their needs will be met or not. Last but not least, Life Pacific University has hidden true colors and intentions. Coming from someone who has not entirely left the school to transfer to another institution or made a commitment to return as a second year I was flabbergasted when I heard one of LPU's lead during a tour tell the prospective student and their parents lie about several things leaning towards what they would get out this school. The school is very very tiny so the administration and the key staff will know what goes on with the students because nothing stays hidden. Therefore, LPU is HIGHLY selective about who they allow into their student leadership positions on campus in order to protect the school's (un)-reliable representation and reputation. This means there is a lot of favoritism involved rather than truly seeing the student's value, passion, integrity, AND CHARACTER. Instead, it is only about fitting the brand name and looks of LPU. Especially, when it comes to the chapel's worship team, R.A. position, and admissions team. It is really sad here to see what this school would do to increase its profit rather than seeing the true needs of this campus. No coincidence that the graduation rate is low (LOOK AT THE STATS). These facts are true so don't let dull words at the student previews try to trick you into going into something that isn't being held to the standard they are convincing you it is. On the other hand, dorm life and student life aren't TOP priorities. Education is the only thing best so far. Besides the majority of staff and faculty who leave this place, they quickly come and go after realizing this place isn't what they thought either. Faculty tries to keep everything under the surface to convince a different story of how staff really act. I can't tell you enough or the exact # of staff that have left or been replaced before I enrolled here and until the end of the semester. Whatever the main cause of leaving is left many faculty members are overworked and underpaid as they are filling in gaps as dual/adj. positions. If I failed to mention, allow me to apologize but Life Pacific Univeristy is far from a private Christian higher education, it is by no comparison different from any other secular/non-Christian university. They use it all for the brand name to convince you otherwise. Last year before the holiday break, we had a security man named Bruce who would often give off weird vibes to women on campus by starring for estranged time of minutes from afar distance without suitable reason and was reported as being overly friendly which distracted him from his original work. Numerous complaints got him fired and replaced by a new security team.

It was 3 days of intense training and technique. The head coach Arson, is very knowledgeable about wrestling and the mind of the wrestler. That makes all the difference. One of the days I came in early and over heard a group discussion. The current LPC wrestlers were encouraging the high schoolers about the importance of prioritizing your life and putting God first and that a good wrestler needs to keep his grades up for scholarships. They also had the financial counselor come in and talk to the high schoolers about college applications, financial aid, FASFA etc. All of this information was helpful and above and beyond our expectations from a wrestling camp. Thank you! Great things are happening in the wrestling team at LPC.

It's a private Division II Christian University that has two campuses a few blocks from each other. Their motto is God First and the university is beaming of His Light. They offer a free and frequent shuttle to go to/from East - West campus. The library, sports center and science building are on the west campus and are amazing. These buildings are newer and well designed. The main book store is also here near the sport center to buy your APU swag. Starbucks is on campus with many other food places. If you are still hungry, there are hundreds of food places next to campus, such as Chick-Filet, Canes, chipotle, Panda Express, Applebee's, Del Taco, Ramen, Mexican, Thai, Boba tea and much much more. The dorms are more spacious than other universities. Engstrom Hall has dual dorms that house 4 students with one adjoining, shared bathroom among the two dorm rooms. This is much better than the huge communal style bathroom for dozens. Overall, this private Christian university is about making good, smart and humble servants who can make a positive difference in the world while putting God first always. Go Cougars!
