I know we can't go back in time and change the fire alarms being triggered over and over, but I appreciate the empathy and understanding. When I talked to management, it felt like they didn't really care much or it could have just been that their hands were tired and they couldn't help. Guest relations really made me feel heard and treated us like human beings. I do appreciate that very much. Leaving this apartment complex on a good note. It's a very nice community, well-kept, safe, clean. We just can't stay any longer after the fire alarms caused employment issues. It's not a bad place to live by any means.

Avignon was a wonderful place for my husband and I to start off our married life. We ended up…read morestaying for 5.5 years, and the overall experience has been very positive. The only reason we moved is because we needed to be closer to work. We were very sad to leave our little community! Avignon is not perfect, but the things that we had issues with were mainly out of the management's control. I will share my honest review below: Unit: The units are basic but overall updated. It had everything we needed and plenty of closet/storage space. The only issues we had were in the beginning with the kitchen sink and the internet. Our unit had some problems with the kitchen sink backing up, but maintenance fixed that quickly. Also, our unit for some reason had problems connecting to Spectrum. We had to have 5 different workers come in to inspect. Finally one worker said he knew about our specific unit and realized there was a broken outlet our internet was plugged into, so there was a second outlet it was supposed to be plugged into. Not sure if I'm explaining that right, but he had to drill holes into our wall to get the wire to go straight into the bedroom. But, no problems since then! Community: The community was pretty quiet and safe. There are kids who play outside during the summer, but they're not loud. Neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves. The addition of the small dog enclosure has been nice, and most owners are responsible. There are a handful who never clean up after their dogs, which is frustrating to see. But, the community is well-maintained generally. Parking: There is plenty of parking along Basque Ave. We've never had a problem finding parking, although there are occasionally events with the school or library, and then it is packed! But, this does not happen very often. The train track area can be a little sketchy at night, but the gates of the community keep trouble away most of the time. My husband's car has been broken into once before, so just keep any bags or belongings out of sight. As for the garage, the only frustrating thing has been sharing it with irresponsible neighbors. He has already moved out, but we had a garage neighbor who would never close his garage door, so I had my wedding decor and mementos stolen from my side of the garage! Very sad and frustrating, but it was out of our control. Laundry: Similar to the other complaints we have, some neighbors are just dirty or inconsiderate. For the first 5 years, we didn't really have any problems with the laundry room aside from the occasional broken machines or excessive pet hair in the machine. But lately, there has been a noticeable difference. The machines seem dirtier and smell, probably because someone didn't use enough detergent? There has also been a resident who leaves their clothes in the washing machine for 1-3 hours before moving it to the dryer, and then leaving it there for another 1-3 hours! I counted. Just one (maybe more) inconsiderate person that affected our quality of life. Maintenance does their best to keep things clean, but they can only do so much. Management: Matt is the nicest property manager! He is always quick to respond. He is also very understanding if you ever have problems you need to bring to his attention. He seems like he genuinely cares about his residents and always greets us warmly. We had no problems with our move-out inspection and getting our deposit back, too! Maintenance: Maintenance has always been great. There used to be a maintenance man that was AMAZING. He was so amazing that he got promoted and moved to another location, which was sad for us. The newer maintenance workers are also nice and quick, just not as quick as the first one. But, they've still been able to help us with anything we needed fixing or replacing. No complaints on this front! Overall, although there were a few frustrating aspects of Avignon, I feel that these are common issues that could arise in any complex as long as you live and share things with other people. It really depends on who is next to/near your unit. Again, we were very sad to leave, but Avignon will always have a special place in our heart!

I met so many wonderful neighbors which I now call friends. A great community and location. Yuri the manager was always friendly and helpful :). I miss the community at La Casa very much! I know there are tons of gripes about this complex in regards to the availability of the guest parking spots but the leasing agents are very transparent about it from the beginning. If you are an introvert who doesn't care much for having many people over or if you are busy raising a family so you don't care much for worrying about visitors needing to come over then this is the perfect place for you. This complex also offers 2 EV chargers, which was a huge plus for me. What I also loved about Las Palmas was the sense of urgency all of the employees had in regards to any matters that come up that needed to be addressed, It was such a breath of fresh air. Think very carefully before signing a lease at AmpliFi. The advertised rent does not necessarily…read morereflect what your total monthly housing costs will actually be. We rent a three-bedroom apartment and pay more than $4,500 per month, yet there are numerous additional monthly charges beyond the advertised rent. Our trash charges have been extremely high--roughly $130 to $180 per month. On top of that, AmpliFi requires a $25 monthly valet trash fee and charges an additional $5 monthly porter fee. Before signing here, I strongly recommend asking management to put in writing exactly what your total monthly trash, utility, administrative, and mandatory service charges are expected to be. Do not assume the advertised rent will be close to your actual monthly housing cost. Parking has also been a significant source of frustration. Our household has three vehicles, but our apartment is allocated only two parking spaces. We were told that our third vehicle could park in the upper parking area of the property, and we relied on that information. The vehicle was later towed from the upper parking area, and we were subsequently informed that the parking policy had changed. Parking the third vehicle on the surrounding public streets is not a realistic overnight alternative. Fullerton Municipal Code § 8.44.080 prohibits parking on public streets between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. We have received parking citations while attempting to park the vehicle off the property. As a result, simply parking the third household vehicle on the street overnight is not a workable alternative. We were subsequently informed that the property's standard charge for an additional assigned parking space is $100 per month, or another $1,200 per year. At more than $4,500 per month in rent, that additional cost is significant. There is also a pending reasonable accommodation request concerning parking. Management has received the requested supporting documentation and advised that the request has been forwarded for review. No determination has been issued at this time. We will update this review once management completes its review. The physical condition of the property does not make these charges any easier to accept. The photo attached to this review shows only one hallway. We have observed similar spots and stains in multiple common-area hallways, and the hallways have repeatedly smelled of urine. This has not been limited to a single hallway or a single isolated incident. When residents are paying luxury-apartment prices, they should reasonably expect common areas to be consistently clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, our experiences dealing with property management--particularly Jen and Rosie--have also been extremely disappointing. Rather than feeling that our concerns are taken seriously and that management is working with us to resolve problems, our interactions have left us frustrated and dissatisfied. AmpliFi may look attractive when you tour the property, but I strongly recommend looking beyond the model apartment and advertised rent. Ask to see a sample actual resident utility bill, not simply a list of estimated charges. Ask exactly how trash charges are calculated and what administrative, management, billing, allocation, or other fees are included in the amount residents ultimately pay. Ask for documentation supporting the underlying trash charges and a clear explanation of how each resident's share is calculated. Ask which additional fees are mandatory and whether any administrative or other fees are added on top of third-party utility or service costs. Ask how many parking spaces your apartment actually receives and exactly what additional vehicles will cost. Most importantly, ask for the complete fee structure and get these answers in writing before signing a lease. Based on our experience, I would not recommend AmpliFi Apartments. For what residents are paying, I expect substantially better transparency regarding costs, cleaner common areas, more reasonable parking arrangements, and management that makes residents feel that their concerns are being taken seriously.
