I had a great experience getting food from here. It started in the morning. I called them to get a copy of the menu and they text me a copy. Each platter is 10 dollars and comes with 2 sides. As pictured here I got the crab cake, garlic mashed potatoes, and string beans. The string beans were amazing 10/10, crab cake amazing! 9/10 not the best I've ever had but I would 100% get it again, and finally the mashed potatoes 7/10. They were prepared well but lacked some flavor. Once I added some salt they were great. The service was amazing. Every time I called they were friendly and were very appreciative. When we picked it up they were kind and encouraged us to come back. This was my first time and she offered to give us menus to take back to our jobs My friend got lamb chops and she also got honey old bay fist. That fish was delicious. This hidden gem is a great carryout spot for your evening cravings of soul. I order the fried shrimp with parmesan fries and their Lamb chops with Green beans and collards. Aye, I WAS HORNGRY, and food is my coping mechanism. In short here are my tidbits: Pros(ish) * FOOD. If you don't work out or have a decent system, you may need to plan your trips here. Their food can be habit forming. EVERYTHING is well seasoned. Those PARMESAN FRIES are RIDICULOUS. You can almost taste the calories. The GARLIC MASH POTATOES are not from a box-somebodys grandmama is back there getting it in!!! The collard greens are, ummm, how can I put this, anglo-friendly(no offense). Ya know, cooked but very light (if any) seasoning. The green beans make up for what the collards didnt have( Lord, did they make up). SHIRMP was seasoned to perfection. 2pts * CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't judge a book by its cover. In this city, I've found customer service to be below par, HOWEVER, my experience was excellent. The gentleman who took my order was polite, clear, and on point with how long it would take. SET THE EXPECTATION. BEAT THE EXPECTATION. 3pts * CASH APP. Yes, this small establishment accepts cash app. Why can't others get on board, IJS. 1pt Cons(ish) * The LAMB was good, but in the order you only get two, so unless you're craving lamb try something more on the soul side to get a bigger bang for your buck. Also, I should've asked for them at a medium, they were cooked, well. Also the rice was a bit moist. $23 for the lamb chop dinner. It looked delicious but it wasn't.The lamb chops were over cooked The Mac and cheese was loaded with cheese but the cheese didn't melt. The noodles were soggy and the flavor was bland! The rice was dry and undercooked. So disappointing. Don't bother eating in the establishment! It was hot and humid when I picked my food up. **Saw this place (Black owned business) on Yelp and thought I check'em out. I'm determined to support black businesses, especially if we get it right. This place has great intentions, unfortunately it missed the mark just a tad bit . First impression when I went in ; Is this place a night club, a clothing boutique or a burlesque-50 shades of black kinda ordeal ? It definitely doesn't speak soulfood plus lamb chops. Secondly, the hostess slash cashier slash waitress slash food runner, should've been informed to take her silk head scarf off and pin her red synthetic braided hair up. She was polite, and professional to me and she didn't even curse at the person she was talking too on her Bluetooth headset. It just isn't a good professional food establishment look. Oh , Is that 92Q radio station playing in the background, I really hate hearing trap music while I wait for my to go order. On to the food- I decided on the fried shrimp w/sides. I asked for green beans and yellow rice. I got the yellow rice and greens. Just slightly wrong but it's ok, no gripe from me, I know what to expect from us. Yayyyy fried shrimp , but on my first visit, they didn't have cocktail sauce. Bummer !!!! The shrimp were nicely fried and seasoned, the greens were flavorful and just a little over cooked. The rice was definitely reheated but hey it's yellow rice , I'm glad it wasn't mushy. Overall, they get 3 stars and a E for effort. Came here with family to dine-in. Food was good enough that we will be back. I even forgot to take pictures, because we started eating right away. I cancelled my birthday event 8 days after paying a deposit. I set my own deposit amount. The owner did not tell me what the deposit was. and did not provide me with a receipt, which was red flag # 1 and 2. I sent a text after the fact to establish a receipt. I entered the business deal without a contract, (which is not like me) which was flag # 3.Contracts outline nonrefundable conditions associated with the arrangement. When I decided to cancel the venue for a larger space that better reflects my style, the owner informed me that she would be witholding 1/3 of my deposit. She had done absolutley no work towards the event to warrant any withholding. She told me that she was holding back $100 due to booking the DJ, which I dont believe. I recieved 2/3 of my deposit an entire month later. I am blessed to not go back and forth with someone stealing $100 from me. She clearly needed it more than I do, as to why she kept it. If you are looking for higher end experience, and want to work with professional, honest and customer focused staff to entrust your memorable experience with, consider this review first. read more

Went there this evening. My husband found out about this place from a Facebook post. So we went to check it out. OMG the best lamb chops I've ever had!!! Best meal I've had in a long time. The food was seasoned to perfection. At first we didn't know what to think of the place from the outside, but it was definitely worth it and delicious. The bill was 22$. We was like whattttttttt!!!
