Don't bother ordering takeout. Here's how the process works: First you call. A woman answers (the manager, I believe). She says she just needs to get to the other terminal and will be right with you. And then, nothing. She never picks up. If you try to call back, the line is busy forever. Has happened to me three times over the past few months. We're done with this place. Friday night my husband and I took some friends here for dinner. The place was busy but not so busy that we had to wait for a table. Our friends have an baby and the hostess thought out the best place to seat us with a high chair so that we wouldn't get bumped by passer-by's. Great customer service. Friday was an indecisive day for me and I may have struggled with what to order. The waitress was SUPER patient with me and double checked with the kitchen on a question I had about a dish. Finally (to her relief) I settled on the grilled tofu with grilled veggies and a sub of quinoa instead of the potatoes. I don't know what they put on the tofu but let me just say that it is the best tofu I have had. This is actually the second time I've ordered that dish and both times there was a great, great flavor that made me sad when I took the last bite because it was all gone. Boo. I want more. The hubs ordered the steak with mustard butter which I sampled a bite of and it was wonderful. The mustard butter was a brilliant idea and one that I want to re-create at home. One of our friends ordered the chicken and waffles which I know from previous visits is awesome. Crunchy chicken, orange scented waffles and bacon maple syrup. Nothing more needs to be said. I passed on dessert but my husband got the chocolate cupcake. Not the best cupcake I've had - a little dry and the chocolate tasted like it had come out of a box. The dessert that is amazing but was sadly off the menu this time was the grapefruit-mint granita. read more

Man, I loved this place. Super nice people working there. Great outside tables -- on a side street where you don't get jolted by all the ridiculous no-muffler pick up trucks from Wyoming and the (my age) Harley jokers on College Ave (why the hell does the city allow that?). The portions are generous to the point of "share an entree and one appetizer" is a good plan. The dishes are well-put together with complimentary flavors. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I would have gone 4.5 but Yelp doesn't do that. Here is my minor quibble: I ordered the salmon and asked for medium rare. Most chefs prefer to serve it that way. It detracts from a beautiful piece of salmon to overcook it. My server, so kind and eager to please, explained that the way they cook it, they really could not serve it medium rare. She mentioned steaming it. Weird. Odder still, what kind of chef in a restaurant that does so many things so well as 415 does not know that salmon is best served medium rare? Strange days, strange days indeed. (See John Lennon). When my entrée was served, it was a thick piece of salmon that could've easily been done medium rare, but was cooked all the way through, though not dry. It tasted great. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The quinoa and vegetables it was served with were wonderful (I substitute broccoli for the asparagus that is on the menu, and the broccoli was great). I encourage you to go to this restaurant. The only reason I mentioned the cooking temp thing was my hope that the owner or the chef would read this and understand that they could be even better with a bit more attention to the diner's preference on how the fish was cooked. read more

Ohhh myyy freaking god! We both had the Ribeye and it is melt in your mouth good! Scalloped potatoes are top shelf. I got the lemon basil butter on my steak. His was medium well, mine medium rare and both temperatures were so tender you barely needed a knife. It is well worth the drive. We are coming back. read more

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Collins. This is the place that made me realize that Brussels Sprouts actually aren't things you want to sneakily feed to your dog under the table. Whatever you order, I highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts. Consistently perfectly cooked with a healthy amount of parmesan, you will be surprised this is a vegetable. Although the Mac and Cheese is amazing and hard to resist, the Roasted Beet Salad is what I order every single time I go there (sidenote: They used to toss the salad w the dressing before bringing it out. Now, the dressing is served on the side but they will gladly toss it in the back for you upon request. Also note that while ~$7 for 3 shrimps may seem a little expensive, they're always large in size). Nice patio too. read more

The service tonight left quite a bit to be desired, we were never asked if we wanted new drinks (after waiting at least 15-20 minutes for anyone to come to our table or even walk by) and the appetizer took forever to come out, and we ended up leaving (cash on the table of course) after being there for almost an hour without receiving our entrees (or any indication as to how long they would take). We eat out quite a bit and expect -at the bare minimum- to have someone come to our table at least every 15-20 minutes, especially when there are only a few other occupied tables in the entire restaurant. The appetizer was delicious (the steak skewers) and the bloody Mary's we ordered were perfect, but we value our time and felt we had been forgotten. We will give this place one more try on perhaps a weeknight or for brunch, but my parter and I felt like a complete burden tonight and left with a very bad taste in our mouths. read more

I cook a lot and always love to find a restaurant that can make something so good and so unique that I savor the taste but have no idea how to make it. If I can eat a dish and not say,"This is good BUT I could make it better" then that is a good meal. Absolutely amazing and one of a kind!!! Steak skewers and a dipping sauce out of this world. My husband and I were in town for a graduation and also happened to be meeting a friend for lunch. We were shopping and a local store owner recommended this restaurant. We're so glad she did because we thought the food was fabulous. I ordered the bacon mac and cheese which was decadent. I was worried that it wasn't going to be enough because it was in a small dish, but it was very filling. The cheese was very rich and they weren't stingy with the bacon at all. It must have had at least three pieces of bacon crumbled up on it. It was so good! I also got a side salad and it was just ok. The dressing could have been a little more exciting. My friend also got the bacon mac and cheese and she loved it as well. My husband got the Left Early sandwich and he thought it was delicious. We liked the atmosphere. It was kind of upscale without being too fancy. And there was outside seating in the front and the back. The back area had a rock water wall/fountain thingy that was soothing to look at. They have an interesting menu with different price points that you can order from. The plates range from $3.60, $4.50, $6.30 and $7.20. And then they have pizzas, salads, hot sandwiches and desserts that are different prices. I really liked this restaurant and I would definitely come here again the next time I'm in town. read more

My favorite is to get a bunch of small plates for the table and just share everything. I've never had a single thing on the menu that I didn't like. Nearly all of the restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives have met or exceeded expectations. All except this one. 415 turned out to be a let-down, disappointing in nearly every way. While the touted mac 'n' cheese was good, it was far from the hype. Nothing overly special to brag about. 415 also lags in portion size; delivering about 30% less than their competition with similar prices and quality. The biggest drawback was the terrible service. Despite the half-full dining room and plenty of staff, we only saw our server twice - once when he took our order and another when he wanted a tip. We never even received a single drink refill. We often drive past 415 and not one iota of thought is given to ever returning here. Great potential, great hype, but a total disappointment. read more

I went to The 415 (as the locals call it) for a birthday party on a Saturday night. The group was approximately 25 people and we were seated and greeted quickly. Our server handled both large tables and was efficient, accurate and friendly. It was an impressive bit of work. As for food, I ordered their house special, chicken and waffles. The chicken tenders were good, juicy and lightly breaded. The waffle was nothing special and their bacon and thyme maple syrup didn't hit the mark for me. What really stood out was the appetizer we ordered. It was Brussels sprouts, but not like you've ever had them. They season them with orange juice, garlic and Parmesan cheese and it leaves them tender, flavorful and delicious. Outstanding dish. If you like a tapas experience, this is an enjoyable place. We ordered the potato au gratin, chicken sliders, woodland pizza, and a cup of tomato bisque soup. The food was very good. The pizza flavors were subtle and delicious. I loved the potatos au gratin. The pickled vegetables on the chicken sliders were tasty. A bit too much bun compared to the chicken. The Resturant was busy so took awhile for our order to come out. Zac, our waiter, He was very nice and very professional. We will put this on our list for a future return. read more

The chicken and waffles are great. Love the hint of orange in the waffles and the bacon thyme syrup is very tasty. The waffles are light and airy and the chicken is moist and tender. The pizza is made on a delicious thin crust and has just the right amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The cocktails are always refreshing and tasty. The 415 salad with the garlic lemon dressing is also a favorite of mine. read more

Tried the PROVINÇIAL sandwich: (brie, caramelized onions, arugula, house-made blueberry jam) and a side of brussels sprouts. The sandwich was amazing but the brussels sprouts were meh; they were steamed and I prefer them crispy. To end the meal I ordered dessert which consisted of a small cupcake and double shot of espresso. Presentation was excellent. I'll definitely be back again to try the dinner menu. read more

This place is great. This was my second time here, and next time I'm in Ft. Collins I was stop here again. My group had the beef skewers, chicken, Brussels Sprouts and spaghetti squash. We have been dining at 415 since they opened their doors and have had some great meals here and have enjoyed the friendly service. With the change in ownership the food quality has gone down significantly and the hip, local vibe is disappearing. Recently we had dinner and I ordered the steak medium rare - most expensive dish on the menu - and it arrived over cooked and the gratin potatoes that are usually to die for were undercooked and flavorless. Nobody ever came by to ask our group about the food. Their cocktails have also changed - clearly a change to the ingredients turning what was once a delicious treat (Cane & Flower) into a tasteless drink. One of the new owners seems to be around a lot but she is not that welcoming, which is what originally made this unique local establishment so appealing. I truly hope they are able to turn things around - we all want good independent restaurants to thrive! read more
