Restaurant 45 is a wonderful place to visit. It not only has good food, but the people behind the business are great! This is a wonderful local business. My favorites are Salmon Alex on a day I want a sweet dish, Zio's Chicken (a parmesan chicken over potato gnocchi in a cream sauce) and Chicken Blue Eyes (sautéed chicken with breaded eggplant and sharp provolone cheese). Restaurant 45 has become a newly "refound" favorite place! We had our son's rehearsal dinner here about 12 years ago and then forgot about it....we returned recently and now go back! The food is well prepared and plentiful and our waitress was well worth a hefty tip! We like sitting in the lounge or bar area in a booth...it is quiet, unlike the Noon Hill Grill in Medfield, so you can actually have a conversation. We like going home with "doggie bags" and you probably will when you leave Restaurant 45! Then you get to enjoy the food twice! read more

We love the 45! We live just around the corner and the 45 has been our go-to take out place forever! I mean this has been for years. Here's a few of our favorites: Stuffed Haddock, Veal Parm with meat sauce (I gave up a little secret there, the meat sauce is where it's at), oriental chicken salad, the spin/artichoke dip, and the pizzas! Honestly, living so close we have tried most of the menu over the many years we have been dining here, and haven't been disappointed. The pizza crust is something from heaven! While I can't speak to the service because we so rarely dine-in, I can say the place had a really nice renovation done and has been brought up to current style. They always seem to be busy, and you can expect a longer wait for your food then whatever they quote you. However, I hope I don't jinx myself when I say that we have never received the wrong order. Aside from the wait time always being longer then quoted, this place is on point. We recommend it to everyone and hope you enjoy it too! read more

OK i am bias ... I worked at Prezo which is owned by the same owners and the menus are the same pretty much.. SO good tho please take my word for it! YES YES people Do live outside 128... ha it sucks out here BUT this place makes me want to stay local and not travel to city or Rt 1 or wherever for good food. This food is great quality and i can legit tell you that they Do make everything FRESH and the food is handled with care. The owners wouldn't have it any other way. The food is a perfect price and its quality. The decor isn't all fancy so def bring kids if you want. The bar area here is quaint and fancyish so if your on a date go to the bar area, red leather booths pretty... So good food i cant even pick a Fav... I looovee carbonara and STUFFED MUSHROOMS (GET THEM -I DON'T EVEN LIKE MUSHROOMS-THats tells you something) The service was great-thanks guys! the drink menu is fun and they always have a drink of the week which is usually festive for the time of year. Took my Mom out for her Birthday, went to "45" after reading the reviews, was not quite sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised. We went for lunch fairly early in the afternoon, nice decor, clean. Menu offered a nice selection, at reasonable prices. I had the escarole soup which was soup for the day, nothing spectacular, but good. Ordered personal pizza which was larger than I expected, nice light crust, very fresh veggies, all around good. My Mom had a chicken marsala which she said was very good, she ate every last bite, (She usually does that anyway). Waitress was polite, restaurant filled up quick while we were there, which put a stress on the limited waitstaff. Service was pleasant with some gaps do the shortage of staff. I would have given 5 stars, but as I said, they needed at least on more waitstaff. They also need to have more of a buffer between the kitchen and the dining room as your could hear the hustle and bustle of the kitchen a bit to much. I will visit again. read more

The food was fine but the service was atrocious. While taking our order the server kept taking off before we were finished speaking. We didn't have anybody check on us after our food was delivered. We finally had to flag down our server and ask for our check well after our entire party was finished eating and then it took another fifteen minutes to arrive. The place wasn't that busy either. My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner . I've been telling everyone I know today about my experience , it was my first time going to restaurant 45 . The food was amazing but the service was top notch , our waitress was amazing by far the best experience we have had at a restaurant . Second visit here and I was very much satisfied with the food and service. We started with stuffed mushrooms which were bursting with flavor and very tasty. My hubby ordered the seafood platter which was a generous portion of scallops, shrimp, and haddock. I ordered the fish tacos which were well seasoned and served with flavorful accompaniments. The menu has a huge selection to order from and the price is quite reasonable for the portions. The ambiance is a little old school, but other than that, we would totally come back. We frequent the 45. It is one of our favorites. Last night, however, several parties were seated before us that had arrived after us. They said it is because they had reservations.... But they don't take reservations for small groups. Very upsetting. Then our server was taking care of a large party so we had to wait. We had plans to go someplace after therefore arrived early. Our party of 10 (6 adults 4 kids) had a great experience at Restaurant 45 today! As you can imagine, it's sometimes difficult to find a place that satisfies everyone's tastes with a group so large. But, this place earned 5 stars from every single person in our party. First, we called about an hour ahead to ensure they could accommodate us. The young woman who answered was very kind and pleasant (Good first impression!). They promptly showed each of us to the table as we arrived. The table was set with glasses of water all around and bread baskets (another good sign!). As for the meals...every person enjoyed their choice. Two adults chose the Fish and Chips (recommended by the waitress). This was a hearty chunk of fish lightly, though crisply battered and topped with crispy onion rings (bonus!). Two of the kids had the kids' spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were huge! Both received thumbs up! Another child had chicken parm and garlic bread (big portion again....was told it was "yummy"). My husband had the Lobster Mac & Cheese. This was a huge plate (it's also offered as a half plate) of creamy mac and cheese with chunks of lobster. I had a taste of that....yum! Another person had the Salmon Nicholas...rave reviews. From the bed of greens to the topping of carrots and balsamic dressing...was told it was delicious. Another one of us had a steak-tip topped salad. It was a plentiful dish with huge chunks of sirloin tips. Lastly, I had the Filet Sarah. An 8 oz filet mignon topped with a horseradish and gorgonzola crumble over a creamy brandy balsamic dressing. At first I regretted not getting the Fish and Chips. It took only one bite of the filet to make me realize I had made the right choice! It was so good! And...all for fair prices! All and all...a fantastic dining experience! We will likely make this a regular place for all of us to meet! read more

Nope. We admit we went at an off time, but 4:15 on a Sunday fell within their posted hours of 12-9. Our family of 4 walked in to find not one but 2 hostesses on the phone. When one finally hung up, there was no greeting, no welcome, just a " 4?" I literally LOL with my husband at her complete lack of customer service! We were seated in an empty dining room. Our server seemed somewhat nice, but missed one opportunity after another to make sales at her one table. She seemed more focused on dropping our drinks/ food so she could return to the empty room next to ours and sit with other wait staff. Our food was marginal at best.. But this was after our rushed drink order was dropped, and my water was forgotten never to appear. We ordered an appetizer, and with menu in hand, taking a breath to order another she literally walked away from my husband. ($) our Mediterranean plate came with ice cold pita wedges, decent hummus and enough feta and olives to feed a Greek army.. Kind of thrown together with a couple carrots. Meh. The bread was cold, as was the butter. Huge pet peeve!! Who likes cold bread?! my surf and turf was worth maybe half of its $25 price tag. Unless they used gold ladened ritz crackers. My kid's fries were good.. My filet was okay. My husbands gnocchi was smothered in a thick meat sauce that alone could have fed our table. We ordered wine with dinner, and would have easily ordered a bottle, but Ms. Rushy Rush never gave us the chance. I even mentioned it was my husbands Birthday. ( nothin') We got one " howiseverything" flyby before, with check in hand, she came back to ask if we wanted cake or dessert. Ummm no, I guess? Huge missed opportunity to make some sales by this server, and more importantly to make our dining experience there an enjoyable one. Good restaurant considering how few non-chains we have in the area. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone. I have had to sit in the bar dining area the past two times -- and it smells like bathroom cleaning liquid, which is not appetizing. They should really do something about that because it takes away from the meal. I want to smell food in a restaurant, not cleaning detergent! I also did not appreciate getting carded - as a 34 year old man - by my waitress. read more

Mother's Day 2016...had a reservation with a party of five and was seated 15 minutes early. Perfect! Unfortunately the food took over an hour to serve while groups nearby seated with us were halfway done eating. Ice in water was melted, drinks were empty, and suddenly we had a new waitress. Seriously, food is just ok. And expensive for what it is. The problem is that there's nothing really good in Medway or Milford IMO ...and this place really is IT as far as restaurants and take out are concerned. Sad but true. I've eaten inside there twice and taken out from there about a hundred times. I live really close so we don't have a lot of options. One thing, the pizza is terrible. Eggplant and chicken parm are ok... sauce isn't that flavorful but will do. Burgers are ok... sometimes not. The steak tips have never been good so my husband says . Eating inside the restaurant has been much much better food than the takeaway btw. Wait-Staff is exceptionally nice . One of the girls that answers phone for takeout is rude.... consistently. Strange because like I mentioned the waitstaff is awesome and there's another woman that answers the phone that's super nice. Just makes calling sometimes not pleasant. If you live in Medway, the 45 is really all we have. I prefer it to what else is available for take out. In a nutshell it's mediocre to a smidge above average. Nice ownership. read more

We used Restaurant 45 to cater our outdoor reception for 160 people. They were fantastic!! We had a phone conversation with Mark and he supplied us with a menu and suggestions, a week later we met him and finalized it. He knew exactly the number of servers we needed for the type of event, quantity of food, appetizers, etc. We picked what we liked and then he helped 'balance' the menu (our personal taste can considered eclectic). Everyone commented on how great the food was, how nice and professional the staff were and just in general how much they enjoyed the event. If the food and set up is bad, the day is miserable. Restaurant 45 made the day at a very good price. Much better than I've heard others pay for a reception of our size. Mark accommodated vegans, vegetarians and carnivores! read more

We were generally very pleased with our Christmas party at the Restaurant 45. In spite of a very busy Saturday, the service to our 25 guests in the function room was quite good. They chose between the chicken parm, haddock, chicken and broccoli, and steak tips. Although a couple of the steak tips were not cooked as ordered and had to be redone, the food was generally excellent, the portions generous; This also applied to meals for several children in attendance. This place is fantastic! To start off our server was wonderful, she was quick to check on us even though the place was bopping and almost every table was full. The food, in one word, was wonderful. I ordered the BBQ burger and not only was it cooked perfectly but it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. We also ordered the Hadock and it was perfect as well. Bravo to the chef! We love the 45! I have had 2 big functions there and both were in their large room. One was a Baby Shower (Sept, 2010) and the other party was a 70th Birthday Party (July ,2016). Both events went off without a "hitch". The food, the service and the atmosphere were all wonderful. We are very familiar with the menu. We also order take out from 45 often. The staff worked with us on all details, including addressing and planning for the food allergies of one of our guests. Every detail had our experts' attention. The food was and is always terrific and our guests raved about their dinners. It is so nice to have a big party and know that everything will be wonderful because the expert staff at 45 will make it so. Not sure what has happened to this once great restaurant. The food and service used to be terrific. We have been coming here for about 12 years. Over the past 2 years, we have seen a downward slide. We recently went on a Sunday evening. We were one of 5 tables that had patrons - so the place was quiet. There were 3 servers one. We got Mary W. Mary W. is in the wrong profession. She has zero customer service skills. It took her 10 minutes to come over and take our drink and appetizer order. We had to hunt her down for the drinks. She finally brings the drinks back and starts to walk away! We said - we are ready to order! It then took 45 minutes for us to get our entrees! Meanwhile, the tables around us that ordered after us had gotten theirs. We asked her what the status of our meal. Mary replies - "I am not sure." Really, Mary?! We get our meal and this time needed refills on our drinks. A good waitress would have checked in with us prior. Not Mary W. It took 30 minutes for Mary to bring us our refills. We were paying attention to Mary and she had 2 tables. The other table she had was a party of 2. The food used to be fantastic here. It has gone south over the past 2 years. The flavor is bland and not cooked as it should be. There are many other great restaurants out there that we will give our business to. It is up to management to make sure their servers are trained and are serving the customers appropriately. I don't think it was a case of Mary having an off night, I think she doesn't give a hoot about being a good waitress. read more

Not bad. but the portions were out of control. I had the Sashimi and was very disappointed. 3 little slivers of Tuna do not an appetizer make!! Same price as the Outback (uck) but at least they give you 6 slices , of about the same exact fish, at Outback... The tomato basil. with prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella was HUGE and very good! I'm not a mushroom fan, but someone insisted I try, and they were AWESOME! We had a 6head party, and our service was on point, but nothing worth raving about. Dessert was great, we all shared a few bites each of the Key lime Raspberry Mascarpone Cake! So yummy, and not as filling as Cheesecake. read more

've been to 45 for dinner and a function. The food is good, but way over priced. The staff is friendly, but appear overworked. It always seems as though the place is understaffed and waits are long. It's worse since the "renovation" if you want to call it that. More like the owner wanted to turn the place into a small strip mall, restaurateur turned small time developer. The maze from the diningroom to the bar is interesting at best. The bar has seating for about 6 which is always packed due to long waits. Maybe the addition would have been better suited if bar space was added rather than empty retail space. Then there's the function room - poor acoustics, grouchy old hag servers and sub par food. Getting drinks is a challenge. One of the old hags told me to wait as food was coming. Fifteen minutes later, no food and still no drink. The Medway/Milford/Medfield area has much better alternatives to this run of the mill, over priced and cramped restaurant. read more

nice place, i'm always a little wary of LARGE restaurants and this place could seat 250 easy but the food was good. Large portions, reasonable prices, well prepared and cooked - my one critique would be that everything we tried was extremely rich and the chefs don't truly understand the meaning of subtlety but overall quite nice. I would highly recommend the thai shrimp nachos, really something to write home about. additional critiques would include the fact that the hostess told me there was no wait [and wouldn't take a res for 2] and when I arrived 10 minutes later there was a 35 minute wait which she told me had all just arrived...thanks but I'm not buying it. Luckily my girlfriend is patient and cooler heads prevailed. Also, the wait staff we very friendly but clearly understaffed. Service was slow and my bill had 2 additional items that we did not order. Overall, good but not great. Worth a second trip but that will determine whether this becomes a staple or just a yelp review in the wind... read more

I must really be out of the ordinary, because I was less than impressed with Restaurant 45! I wanted a new place that we hadn't tried to take my husband out for his 30th birthday. We've passed this place a lot and always remarked we wanted to try it so I figured it'd be perfect. I made a 6:30 reservation on Open Table just in case. We arrived right on time, and there was only one person in the vestibule to seat people. She was on the phone and took three different takeout orders before seating anyone. There were two other couples waiting and then us. She told us they were cleaning off a booth, but the other two couple got seated right away. Huh? She led us to our booth and our drink and food orders were promptly taken. He ordered fish and chips since it seemed to be a popular take out item (we certainly heard enough of them while waiting out front) and I ordered baked haddock. The food took a little more time than I'd have expected to come out. He had a generous portion, while my fish seemed a bit on the small side. My fish was ok, and if I had to say anything about it, it was that it didn't taste fresh....like it has previously been frozen and reheated. I've had much better elsewhere. His fish was good. He asked for a second beer and never received it, but we were charged for it. When I pointed out the extra charge on the bill, the waitress said it must still be at the bar. Well, that doesn't do us any good. We paid and left, feeling all around disappointed. After hearing the rave reviews on here I expected the food to be excellent and it just wasn't. Wonderful experience at Restaurant 45 today! Our party of 8 went in at around 2:30. We were greeted by a young blonde hostess (my son said he thought she was very pretty) who asked us how we were, to which we responded we were well and told her we had a party of 8 with no reservation. Now, the parking lot was full so we expected there to be some sort of wait. To my surprise there was no wait! The hostess told us that the main dining room was being used for a large function (I think she said it was for a celebration of life- (which I believe is like a memorial service)). It was very crowded and she told us she would go and check to see what she could do for us. She came back a few minutes later and asked us if we would be opposed to sitting in the lounge- which was no problem! She then went on to say she had set up a table for 8 people out there and put menus down to save it (since their lounge area is a first come first serve type of area). She then kindly offered to walk us out to the table, so she walked us through the large crowd of people in the dining room making conversation on the way and brought us out to the table no problem. She apologized for not having the dining room area available- but we told her no reason to be sorry, the lounge was perfect. I had never been out in the lounge but if you go there you should try it out! It is very laid back out there and very nicely decorated. It is also full menu out there. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend any of their seafood dishes- AMAZING. The food took a little while but we were in no rush. Our server was wonderful and very nice! Bartenders are also very nice and friendly. From what I saw, this restaurant has a great staff- everyone is very personable and takes the time out of their busy days to make sure you are satisfied. Also, our food was delicious- everyone in our party was pleased with their meals- the prices are just the right price for the portions given and there are so many different meals to choose from I will definitely be going back soon. All around a great establishment and a great staff. I very much recommend Restaurant 45. I was recommended this place by friends. Can't wait to bring friends here and it is definitely going to become a favorite of mine. Whether you want to get takeout or have a nice night out, they have a main dining room, lounge/bar (very nice bar and lounge side has booths), or the outside deck which I noticed on the way out, GO TRY IT! read more
