My husband and I spent new years eve 2022-23 at the Restaurant de la Tour and loved the food. The menu was excellent. The only reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because with they had btw 9-11 table being served and only one server. This meant that she was receiving guest, answering the phone (which rang often) and serving the guest their very expensive plates of food. A lot to expect from one person. Pappardelle with Foie Gras: The noodles were perfectly cooked, the foie gras was impossibly creamy and the sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming. A delicately balanced dish I would highly recommend. 5/5 Ratatouille: On a chilly night this was the most obvious option for my starter and I did not regret. Was so tasty I forgot to snap a photo. A flavroful hearty stew all condensed down into this thick disc of savory goodness. 5/5 Creme Brulee: The best creme brulee I have tasted inside or outside of France (and I have eaten a lot of creme burlee in my day!). 5/5 For 34 euro you get an antree then choice of starter and dessert, and for 30 euro you get entree and EITHER starter or dessert. Definitely worth it to get the three course meal in my opinion. The quality for the experience here is unmatched and they have an excellent wine selection to go with you meal. The only thing that kept it out of 5 star territory was the extremely tight dining conditions. Literally I felt like I was seated at the table with the couple to my right and to my left. The clientele are approximately 75% international tourists and 25% French tourists. I don't think many Parisians venture over to the Eiffel tower area for dinner - so that is probably what you would expect. Service is attentive but there is only one waitress for the entire diing area, which seats about 30 people so it is definitely a several hour long dining experience. To avoid the most crowded time of night I would recommend making your reservation for their earliest or their latest seating, if you can manage to work up an appetite at those times. read more

And we sure made the right choice! This elegant little restaurant has everything to offer - intimate ambience, great service and amazing food. My wife and I opted for the 3 courses menu. Everything was perfect from the starters to entrees and desserts. I ordered green salad with marinated crayfish, pork stew with honey sauce mashed potatoes and warm crumble apple & rhubarb vanilla ice cream for dessert. My wife ordered salad perigourdine with smoked duck breast & duck liver pate, pan-fried duck breast with green pepper sauce mashed potatoes and cheese cake with raspberry for dessert. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted even more amazing. The dinner was a terrific way to end our romantic Paris trip. I found this place on Yelp after seeing all of its fantastic reviews, and it did not disappoint. My girlfriend and I had the beef stew and chicken with morels sauce and both were the best dishes we had while in Paris. I cannot recommend the beef stew enough. One word: Amazing. My husband and I went here last night for Valentine's Day. This is our first trip to Paris, and I had done extensive research on where to go, trying to find somewhere elegant but not too stuffy and fancy. First off, this is not a tourist trap, there were many locals dining while we were there. I'm almost certain the hostess is the owner, she was incredibly professional and accommodating considering we don't speak French. Also, she was the only waitress on a busy holiday night but still tended to each party perfectly with ease and didn't look flustered or stressed at all. She made us feel welcome and the food was beautiful and delicious! Lastly, she gave a rose to each lady at the end of the meal. The pri-fixe menu was €98 per person for a starter, main, dessert and 1/2 bottle of white or red wine which is honestly a very good price for dining in central Paris especially given how close the location is to the Tour Eiffel. I had the crayfish salad for starter, the beef stew for main (holy crap AMAZING) and the chocolate cake for dessert. My husband had the ratatouille for starter, lamb shank for main (which was huge), and the apple/rhubarb crumble for dessert. We shared a bottle of red wine (1/2 bottle each) which was also very good and went perfectly with our meals. We were required to put down €80 to hold our reservation and then paid the balance of €116. Dinner for two on Valentine's Day for under $250? Score! They offer a 3 course meal for €34 (appetizer, main course, and dessert) or 2 out of the 3 courses for €30. I ordered a filet mignon for my main course, which was an extra €5. The appetizers are phenomenal! I ordered smoked salmon and tried my boyfriend's crayfish. Both were fresh and delicious. For the main course, I replaced my filet mignon's side of potatoes with vegetables/spinach. I ordered my filet to be cooked medium, and it was definitely more on the medium-well side. Nonetheless, it still tasted great. Service was great too! There was just one server, who seemed to be the owner. She was very professional, spoke English, and recommended great wine. At first we felt sorry for her but when she completely ignored us, we became angry because she had time to visit with her French friends but not serve us our food. Delicious, traditional, and well run The area surrounding the Eiffel Tower can be a bit sparse in terms of quality restaurants that can accommodate a group without being touristy -- the Restaurant de la Tour is the rare exception. I had a last-minute professional dinner and was able to call ahead for reservations for 10 for the same night. The single dining room's atmosphere is cozy but elegant; the single server is also the co-owner -- her husband is the chef. Service was smooth, the food was delicious and traditional with a refreshing take. The menus appear to be printed based on what they have sourced that day, and of our party of ten all were well pleased. We had no issues getting ten separate checks. I personally had the foie gras and magret salad, followed by the magret de canard entree, and the melting chocolate cake for dessert. If, by the end of the meal, you are feeling a bit heavy and aren't up to a heavy dessert, I can also highly recommend the Grand Marnier and grapefruit that one of my colleagues picked-- a perfectly balanced light finish. Absolutely delicious and probably the best part of my meal. For my main meal I ordered the crispy salmon fillet in lemon butter sauce with mashed potatoes. It's salmon wrapped in a puff pastry. Very good too. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake with raspberry. Very good but my friend ordered the crème brûlée and that was even better. I'm going to start with I don't usually Yelp anybody, but this little restaurant deserves it. We have been in Paris for 3 days and this restaurant is one you won't want to miss. It is within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower just down the street. The menu has a set price for a starter, main dish, and dessert for 41 Euros. Our food was so good...my wife got the chicken and I got the beef stew...both meals were excellent. It is hard to believe...that one woman was our host, bus person, and waiter which was serving approximately 12 tables. She worked non-stop and was polite, quick, and efficient. We had spent the previous night eating at the Frame Restaurant that had about 10 staff members and we didn't even get water for the first 15 minutes of us sitting down. One person at De La Tour managed 12 tables better than all the staff at the Frame Restaurant. In short, if you are trying to figure out where to eat near the Eiffel Tower...look no further as you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a truly special restaurant and was quite possibly the best meal we had in Paris....and that's saying something since we also ate at Tour d'Argent. This is the only place we are that didn't have outdoor cafe seating, but since it was 92 degrees that day we were happy to be in an air conditioned space. We went here on our last night in Paris, as we were looking for a nice French meal, and this is exactly what we received. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere, service was great and food was fantastic! We made reservations the night before as they fill up pretty quick (they were turning people away when we were there). Since it is located near the Eiffel tower, it seemed to be filled other tourists. (maybe due to great reviews on yelp and trip advisor) I had the duck confit and my girlfriend had the steak. Our meals were delicious and by far the best meal we had in Paris. Service was excellent and all handled by 1 woman, who worked extremely hard to keep the filled room happy! "EXCELLENT RESTAURANT" My Fiancé and I flew into Paris later in the afternoon and settled into our hotel in the area. Upon arriving in our room we were both jet lagged from flying halfway across the world. We set out around 9pm for some food and found this little hidden gem. When we first arrived I could tell they looked like they were almost closed. No matter, the lady who greeted us gestured us to take a seat and showed us the specials. The restaurant is small but cute and comforting. The server was very friendly and was helpful with recommendations of food and what wines to pair with it. I highly recommend doing a combo, Salad, entree and cream Brûlée . The Scallop tar tar which my fiancé ordered was excellent also. Overall even though this place was almost closed, they still accommodated us and the food and service were excellent.
