    Beef Bourguignon

All around an excellent experience! The restaurant is quaint, with seating for no more than 50 people. Service was excellent, we also got to speak with the head chef who was incredibly kind. They offer incredible, authentic french cuisine. This was by far my favorite meal in France!

This is actually so good. The food, the atmosphere the service all 10/10. We ordered the duck and the steak along with 2 red wines and 2 espressos with a crème brûlée. The wine paired perfectly with the entree and it was cooked to perfection. Such tasty, good quality food. It really felt like true Parisian dining at this restaurant. I loved everything about it. I would visit Paris again just to eat here again.

Le P'tit Troquet is a small restaurant that was about a 10-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. There isn't much seating (couple tables outdoors and some more inside) so I'd recommend making reservations if you can. The staff spoke English. My first course was their salmon tartare which was delicious with the accompanying sliced baguette. Not too heavy and a great starter. Next I had their beef bourguignon which came in a small, cute little cast iron dutch oven. You can then spoon over the meal from the dutch oven to your plate. The red wine sauce was rich and the beef tender. The carrots, mushrooms, and potatoes were all soft and went beautifully with the red wine sauce. This was quite filling and frankly, had I not already ordered dessert, would have been quite satisfied. For dessert I had their Paris-Brest which was very good. The choux was deliciously crunchy. The filling was rich and decadent and honestly, almost too sweet. Perhaps a leading indicator to the food coma that came not too long after. Overall, I had a fantastic time and the meal and service was phenomenal.

Apricot dessert - so yummy and light!

What a lovely experience! We are in Paris for just a few days, and found this restaurant via internet search. The reviews looked so strong, we made a reservation. Beautiful evening to dine outdoors on a narrow neighborhood street. The service was superb, Ann and Johannes took great care of us. The menu was a departure from menus we've seen at Paris bistros. Every course was unusual and tasty and beautifully presented. My apricot dessert was something brand new to me and I would go back just for it! This place is a gem and walking distance from our hotel just below the Eiffel tower.

I am in a Facebook travel group and several people recommended Le P'tit Troquet for dinner. After reviewing the menu, my boodle and I decided that we needed to make a reservation and check this place out. We were SO glad we did! First, you will need a reservation. The restaurant is very small and intimate, which is really enjoyable. Service here is excellent. I ordered a glass of red wine and a beef dish that was served with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. It melted in my mouth and had incredibly good flavor. It is important to note that there is a three course prix fixe menu OR you can can order any of the individual menu items. My boodle and I shared a dessert featuring salted caramel ice cream and chocolate cake, and it was heavenly. I hope I can travel to Paris again and go back to Le P'tit Troquet!

Great find on a side street near our hotel. We highly recommend it and would go back again. Great and very friendly service. Spoke impeccable English. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Set price and a la carte options. And the food was sensational with a beautiful presentation and very reasonably priced. We had cheese ravioli as a starter and the beef sirloin in a red wine sauce with mashed potatoes. And some really delicious champagne. The place is small so would recommend making a reservation. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Very nice sidewalk cafe. Reservations are recommended. Set price menu €39. I had the salmon appetizer, Beef BOURGUIGNON and the crème brûlée. All were tasty and the service was great. The cafe has a very nice wine list and several beers. My traveling companions had the Black Angus beef and said it was great also. I be here again.

My first night in Paris, I wanted a quiet, relaxing, delicious meal. I got exactly that, with wonderful hospitality. I had the roast with vegetables and whipped potatoes and the chocolate tart. I also ordered a glass of Cotes du Rhone. This place was not cheap, but was a really great value considering the quality of the food and service. Dominique has paid exquisite attention to detail and will make your experience delightful. I was alone, but this would be a great spot for couples. Very cozy and personal.

The meal was fabulous. Absolutely enjoyed our meal and the staff was wonderful. Not too far from the Eiffel tower and not far from our hotel. My family enjoyed the food. Andn the best part is always the dessert... Lol

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

As a Chinese, I understood more than 50% of the conservations (Chinese). Which doesn't mean anything about the food. Just observation. Onion soup - 2 stars. First, the cheese failed to emit the baked, melted gruyere cheese, there is no aroma at all. I don't think they used gruyere cheese. May be mozzarella cheese. The worst part was the bread in the soup. It tasted stale which ruin the flavor of the soup. I had to finish without the bread. Escargot - Another disappointment. What made escargots special was the garlic butter and herb. Here, there were the herbs, no garlic, and French is famous with their butter but I taste oil but not buttery. Other places I actually get excited dipping the bread into the garlic butter but not here. Pan seared Foie gras - The quality of Foie Gras was definitely there. It's not as well seared as I hope but they managed to cook it through without overcooking it. The size of Foie Gras is kind of scary, it's like a small piece of rib eye steak. With just the onion soup and Foie Gras, I could barely swallow anything. Generous portion.

There are two tables essentially in the kitchen (a true "Chef's Table" arrangement) and maybe 6 tables in the adjoining room. We were welcomed warmly. Deborah was the hostess and server. Chef Hugo is visible in the kitchen, working very hard to make everything just perfect. They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
