This was the first place we ate at as we rolled into town, and it didn't disappoint. When you walk…read morein, you're greeted by the wonderful smells of charcoal grilled meat. The atmosphere is upbeat, casual, and modern. The papaya salad had great texture and balance, highly recommend. Our server Kevin was very friendly and attentive, and gave us advice on some local spots. We found the stuffed wings to be very flavorful, although we thought the sausage inside could have been juicier (it was just a tad dry). But overall, great place to get a bite! Oh, and the cocktail & their house lager was delicious!

I had a Lucy Liu which was delicious and had a little kick to it. The Thai basil was great counterpoint. The service was helpful and prompt and the gentleman knew the menu well. We started with the pork belly and shrimp chip combo that was in a slight sauce of red curry. The spices and flavor were delicious. We also ordered the pickled vegetables which was refreshing contrast to the meat. We also ordered stuffed chicken wings and green papaya salad. We ended with the desert of mango with sticky rice. The mango was perfectly ripe and sweet and tart enough to contrast with the coconut milk sweetened sticky rice. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the cooks work in the kitchen. The space and ambiance were lovely.

Frankly one of the best meals I've had ever…read more The mussels and fries were top notch; tender yet not smushy, not too salty a flavor, a quality white wine seafood broth. The little gnocchi were appropriately textured, with a nice pesto sauce to go along. It was filling without being overbearing. The lemon flavor in the gnocchi was a brilliant addition. The salad mentonnaise used really fresh radicchio and pine nuts. The orange vinaigrette gave the salad a really nice touch. The Dijon leek emulsion for the leeks vinaigrette was really neat, and helped give the braised leeks a lot of charcacter. The

I chose the French onion soup and salmon entree, my mom went with the escargot to start and the pork chop for her main. The soup was so rich and delicious, my mom loved the snails. The salmon was cooked perfectly and my mom also enjoyed her pork chop. We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts which were super tasty too. The portions were surprisingly large so we couldn't finish everything. They had asked us to switch tables partway through dining to accompany a larger party, which was fine for us and they offered us a complimentary dessert for the trouble. Since we were stuffed, we took the dessert to go. It was a deconstructed dulce de leche cheesecake and it was rich and so tasty. Would definitely return!

One of my new favorite pasta places in montreal ! The restaurant has lovely ambience, and the owner…read moreis so cute and quirky as well! The way you order is that first you decide your pasta sauce choice, and then decide which type of pasta you want We asked about wine options, and I think it was BYOW, but there was a dep right across the street and if you're unsure about what to get, the owner has recommendations as well. There's so many pasta sauce options that my friends and I took forever to decide (as usual), but I finally opted for the bow tie pasta with marinara, bacon, mushrooms, grilled chicken, white wine, and cream and it was delicious! I also tried a bite of my friends clam (and I don't remember what else) linguini, which was very tasty as well. Portions are generous, and my friends and I food comaed for at least half an hour after we finished eating The owner was super funny because he'd always tease us with desserts before he brought them to the table which ordered them Definitely coming back here again hehe

But never did i have both with a dab of misogynistic and racist behaviour from the owner! I am not a violent person...but omg i wanted to punch him! The menu is long and everything on it is expensive. We ordered two green salads. Felix ordered a fettuccini olive oil and garlic sauce for 13$!!! At that price, we thought that the ingredients would be top notch. Right? Wrong! I got the spaghetti meat ball. No "s". It was A meatball. The owner flat out asked my husband, because he doesn't talk to women, if his Chinese immigrant friend knows what ground BEEF meat was. My husband told him that he could ask me himself. The owner said he didn't bother because he knows i wouldn't understand him. I speak three languages. He then wrote down our plate numbers on paper table setting. What a schmuck! He wasn't shy on telling us that he buys his ingredients (fake parmesan, bread, salad dressing and so on) at Costco. Nothing against Costco. But when you charge 13-20$ a plate of pasta with sauce from a jar, i think you're ripping us off and taking us for idiots! I can go on and on... He also told my husband that we're better eating the whole thing because he will not let us have doggy bags. Food this nasty, no f-ing way! Worst meal of my life! Worst place ever!

It all exceeded expectations, and our expectations were high going in based on the well-deserved hype! The 20-30 minute wait was so worth it. One of the owners works the line & he offered drinks to everyone as we waited outside. The other owner took our order, and when my son and I said we wanted to try a bunch of different things and asked if we could do smaller portions (1bun instead of 2 & a mix of satays), he happily obliged us. Now let's talk about the food - the laksa soup, pork belly bun, papaya salad and satays were all EXACTLY RIGHT. Like chefs kiss kind of right. The owner came by when all the food had been taken away and jokingly asked if we had enough, and my son sheepishly said he probably needed one more of the pork belly buns, and it came right out. So tender and sublime. I couldn't eat another bite, but he somehow stuffed it in because it was just so good. My son can't wait to sport his Satay Brothers shirt back in Dallas! 10 out of 10!
