While on a beer tour years ago, we ended up at Verona pizza, needing to soak up some alcohol with hearty foods- and I realized maybe the beer had me in a hazy fog, because I never rated- Opting for our go to mushroom, peppers, sausage- the pizza wasn't overly greasy- the crust was a bit soggier than thick or charred crisp than I would have liked- but there was lots of cheese on top. I used to order here from occasionally, not often, but sometimes. The food was always just okay and nothing to really rave about. Unfortunately this time though, we had ordered delivery. The food arrived in a good and timely manner, but halfway eating my food I felt mortified. Looking at my burger, it was raw on the inside. Completely. Raw. (I'll link a picture). This made me want to throw everything I just ate up immediately. My husband was afraid to eat what he had gotten because his was chicken. Needless to say, we both just ate something from our own fridge that night. The amount of food we ordered though came to a total of $50 and I thought what we'd be getting for the price would be a lot better. Well, hope I don't throw my guts up tonight! i order from there fairly often and usually the food is pretty good. Ordered a pizza today and was told to pick it up in 20 minutes. Arrived 27 minutes later and the pizza was ready...... when I got home dough was raw and the cheese wasn't even melted ..... called back and told the lady who answered the pizza wasn't cooked and she said someone would call me back. Took the pizza back to the store and dropped it off For them to see for themselves that it wasn't cooked. Sitting here one hour later and still have not heard back from my initial call nor was a refund offered or anything. I guess this will be the last time I ever order and I recommend anyone to order elsewhere then from this place read more

Frequently get our pizzas here. Love the loyalty cards that pay off in a free pizza once you get 10 stamps. The crust on the pies is very good, neither too crispy not too doughy. Good price for a pie as well. I like the garlic knots but my husband finds them too greasy. We have ordered delivery a couple of times with no problems. (Fed ex can't seem to find our house, but Veronas can). Only complaint I have is that it is difficult to navigate down the couple of stairs and through the door of you are carrying a pizza. When we first walked in around 8 pm on Friday they had already begun putting the chairs up. We ordered bbq chicken cheesesteak, fries, and a buffalo bbq boneless chicken wings. It wasn't fantastic. Verona is a great little pizza shop located in what was once a neighborhood landmark bakery. Their food is prepared fresh and with friendly service. The owner supports the community through fundraising programs and provides plentiful meals at a great price when parent clubs sponsor an event. As for delivery, they do deliver within a limited area and service is usually timely. Based on quality of food and friendly staff- the best "pizza place' in town. read more

They told me my order of wings and a medium pizza for delivery would be 1 hour. I said that was fine. About an hour later, driver calls me, tells me I'm too far away to get delivery. Offered to meet me at some half way point. I asked him to please deliver my pizza like they told me they were going to when I put the order in an hour ago. I added that I would tip him very well if he would just get me my food. He told me he needed to speak to his manager and that he would call me back. I waited 20 minutes until I realized they were never going to call me back. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. Manager gets on phone, tells me girls working there don't know where every town is and that it was a mistake to tell me they can deliver to me. I said I'm sorry they made a mistake but I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake and that he should deliver my food. He said he can't send a driver on a 25 mile trip. I said, actually its 7.6 miles according to google maps, why are you telling me its 25 miles? He ignored that comment and went back to trying to get off the phone with me. I said, what are you going to do to make up for this situation you caused for me? He.said he might be able to give me half off my order if I come there. I said you should comp the entire meal, that would be good business. He said sorry he can't do that because the ingredients cost money. I repeated, this time with my voice raised and my anger level pretty high, that this was bad business. He hung up on me. The end. read more
