Did the premium ayce at 11:30 on a Saturday. The service was great and very fast. Kenny was our server and came by often to check in which was great. My favs were the fried octopus legs, squid, and all of the premium items were fresh and tasty. My only note is that there was a little more rice than I'm used to for the nigiris, but other than that everything was yum!! I'd definitely come back!

I was in the area craving AYCE sushi, so I turned to Yelp and decided to give this spot a try. The place itself has a nice vibe--clean, modern, and not too busy when I went. Just a heads up: weekend AYCE at 1pm is already considered "dinner" pricing (per my server, Kenny), which caught me a little off guard. The sushi is decent--nothing particularly memorable, but fair for AYCE. On the plus side, service was impressively fast, which I appreciated. I do have to highlight the crispy octopus legs--they were actually really tasty and a standout dish. The soft shell crab, however, is limited to one serving. Unfortunately, this wasn't mentioned on the menu or explained upfront, which would've been helpful to know. Overall, it's an okay spot. Nothing that blew me away, but it gets the job done if you're in the mood for AYCE sushi.

Overall the food was good, but there were a few issues. The salmon teriyaki had absolutely no seasoning and was a very small portion for the à la carte $7.99 that we paid. Service was slow but it was really busy.

Nice ambiance - not too loud & good music vibes. Service was fantastic- prompt & friendly. Food was good but had a lot of sauce on the bottom and top of the rolls. The cherry on top is the self serve frozen yogurt for dessert! Parking is easy and plentiful but busy since it's in plaza with Trader Joe's!

We had an amazing experience at Kizame AYCE Sushi! The food was fresh, delicious, and came out at a great pace, but what really made our visit stand out was our server, Lexie. She was absolutely wonderful--super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire meal. Lexie checked on us regularly without being overbearing, helped make the experience smooth, and really catered to our needs. Her great attitude and excellent service made the meal even better. Huge shoutout to Lexie for going above and beyond--she definitely deserves recognition! We'll definitely be coming back.

I recently visited here to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant itself makes a great first impression. The ambience looks upscale, clean and modern decor that feels nice for a special occasion. Our party opted for their premium ACYE option at $54.99/pp, which includes a one-time order of premium fish selections along with unlimited items from the regular menu. Unfortunately, the fish didn't taste as fresh as expected, especially considering the price point. The premium selection was mediocre at best and the rice-to-fish ratio was noticeably off, with far more rice than fish. Overall, the quality felt subpar, particularly compared to other AYCE sushi spots I've tried. It's honestly tough to find a truly solid AYCE sushi place in the SFV, but for a similar price range and within the Valley, I'd say Aikan sushi in Northridge is slightly better in terms of quality. That said, my all time favorite remains at "Here Fishy Fishy" in Ktown off Wilshire. It's worth the drive if you don't mind going out of the area. While Kizame has a nice ambiance and potential, the quality didn't quite justify the premium price, which was disappointing for a birthday celebration. But they do offer self-serve unlimited soft serve ice cream which is a rare gem offering at AYCE sushi spots so I have to give them props for that offering. Service was decent and staff was friendly.

This review is well overdue. We've been MULTIPLE times since trying Kizame and it's now my favourite AYCE sushi in the valley. The quality is sooo good and the restaurant is just so neat and beautiful. Staff are always soo lovely and the food comes out quick. Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for AYCE sushi you won't be disappointed!!

Our favorite sushi restaurant close down, so we've been searching for a new AYCE spot for a while. Our friend recommended this place. And I was not disappointed. Food: The food is really good here, it's good and fresh. The kitchen items are delicious. They also have an ice cream machine. They have a regular price and a premium. I honestly would just stick to the regular price. Service: They have great customer service. They do have a long wait time depending on the time you arrive. Ive waited 15 and also 30 minutes. Ambiance: place is perfect for family dinners, birthday dinners. Your also able to do reservations that's always a plus. It is a little crowded but that's not a big deal.

Yuzu, Ponzu, Soy Sauce, Spicy Mayo and Sriracha. ¡Oh! and the popcorn scallop roll was my kid's favorite.

We were so disappointed when our favorite sushi spot closed, so my family and I have been on the hunt for a new one--and I'm 100% sure we found it. This place is small, but very clean and welcoming. We tried the all-you-can-eat menu, which comes with three rounds of ordering. We didn't even make it past the first round, that's how satisfying everything was. Everything we tried was really tasty. Our server, Gavin, was amazing. Since it was our first time, he took the time to explain how everything worked and was very attentive, checking in on us regularly without being overbearing. We left already talking about when we're coming back. Price-wise, we spent about the same as we used to at our old spot for just a few rolls, but here we got to try so much more. Definitely worth it.

Food is great, prices are decent, atmosphere is great, but my three stars are for watching the owner yell at his staff while I was trying to enjoy my dinner. I have people that work for me and I would never speak to my staff the way I saw the owner spoke to his staff. That is unacceptable. I will only go to places where their staff is respected. Otherwise, the premium AYCE is decent and it's a cute little small clean restaurant.

MATTHEW the Man!!! Thank you for your excellence service and the hospitality feel. We came here for lunch and everything was delicious. My little son loved their softshell crab, squid legs and soft served ice cream. He literally ate one whole order of squid legs. We also had seared salmon, seared tuna, uni pasta, baby scallops, several rolls and other appetizers. I was looking forward to the uni pasta. It was good but could do without all that tomatoes . The udon was very sweet and oily. That's polly the only thing we didn't like. Overall we highly recommend this sushi spot for AYCE. We had a great time and customer service was 10/10.

I would like to thank Kizame Sushi Restaurant in West Hills for such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and it's great to support a local business. Manager Phil made us feel truly special. When the restaurant became busy, he even stepped behind the sushi bar to help prepare delicious dishes, which showed how much he cares about the guests and the team. The menu is excellent, the food quality is great, and everyone made us feel welcomed and valued. We will definitely be back and look forward to bringing our family and friends with us. They even accept reservations for before 5:30pm. Worth going and experiencing fun times with your family and friends. Thank you, Kizame!

Awesome! My hubby and I are back for some delish AYCE Sushi and many more items and since it's 2026, I wanted to give an update of this restaurant and I'm super pleased to say that the food here is still delicious and the wonderful choices they have here and of course, the service here is amazing as before!! This time also (because it didn't happen last time when we were here), there were a few missing items in the menu and the server was kind enough to point out to us which ones out, BEFORE we order!! Which is awesome!! We were here on Saturday evening and it was packed with lots of people, this is a great sign!!! I'm happy (even though we were stuffed already), they still had the free soft serve for dessert! The owners are so nice and welcoming as always!!

Having been to the studio city location and enjoying, it's no contest in terms of parking ease (just $7 valet, so $10 LOL) diverse, creative menu items, roominess (at least twice the size here), still a few open tables at all times to enjoy without super cramped environment and just generally blew the doors off pretty much any other sushi joint near or far. Started with the Exclusive menu...not to me (I wish) but a smaller paper menu with specials. The FatherKels Roll, my goodness, what a start. (Weird name comes from, as my son told me, some Instagram chick or something, the usual nonsense.) I couldn't care less if it was named the Long Island Lolita Roll, it was literally the pinnacle of rolls, the Mt Everest if you will of rolls. Then ordered a bunch of rolls from Yellowtail Cilantro, Green Dragon, Citrus, were all one better than the other. Super melt-in-your-mouth, good fish ratio, immaculate sauce parings and fusions harmoniously dancing in your mouth as your tastebuds get orgasmisized to oblivion. You'd think something as simple as a mushroom soup wouldn't warrant any praise...NOT HERE. What a soup, one of the best I've ever had. (Please get this). Everything we tried ranged from A to A+, and the bonus kicker, they have a Yuzu, yes YUZU sauce bottle on the table. Good luck finding that anywhere in the country without begging for it like a little bitch HAHAHAAAA Even the wasabi was so fresh and course ground, I mean just every box was checked and boxes you didn't even know ever existed. Gil, a slick cool dude/manager came to ask how our meal was and complimented our family and ordering taste, nice touch. Needless to say, one and never done; will be hard-pressed to eat sushi anywhere else again...yes I'm not joking. It's not cheap, blew 90 bucks a person all-in but worth every dollar plus interest.

We're last minute planners so we called to see if they have availability that same night and they just so happened to have two seats open. Lucky us! It's a very unassuming place. It's not bougie, dimly lit, anything like that. But it's small and intimate and you really connect with Go, his wife, and the people you're dining with. It's just a small counter in front of him which seats I believe 8 people? We were chatting with the rest of the diners and we had a great time. There's no menu. You just commit to what they serve you. So prices are a complete mystery until they bring you the check. After a certain point, he'll ask if you want more sushi or if you're done. We decided to keep going. It's certainly a very expensive meal, so be prepared for that. We also got some sake as well, no menu but we asked for sake and we got a small bottle. Everything was plated and presented beautifully. He explains how he never freezes his fish unlike so many other places and just how fresh his fish is. I definitely respect their process and love how he and his wife have been doing this for such a long time. It's really beautiful. In terms of flavor and overall value, it was a delicious meal, certainly. But walking away, we felt the quality didn't quite match up to the value. It's a steep steep cost ($250/person) and for the amount we paid, we agreed it wasn't the best sushi we've had. It was a really beautiful meal though and we're very grateful for our time there.

Flavor-wise, though, it was great. I also had the yellowtail roll, which I really enjoyed, and the hot sake was solid and reasonably priced. And not a great chain... within a stone's throw is Joey and also Second & Saint and they expanded and are nice places so Katsuya should go take notes. The pro's: Lots of nice staff. Never had to look around for someone, food came out relatively quickly. The prices were not crazy... Salmon Tasting (4 pieces) was $19, Toro was $20 for two pieces. Small Asahi was $6 (beer was cold but coulda been colder). The con's: It's kind of tired... as a chain and as an individual restaurant. This is an OK spot for a high schooler to take a date. Katsuya used to be the "cool kid" in Studio City years ago, but now it feels like a tired chain My wife came out of the rest room and commented that the floor was impressively sticky (not drop of molasses sticky but like she could hear it loudly sticky... and this was 20 minutes after they opened so I'm guessing it's a permanent condition) There were 14 of us waiting for it to open at noon. At least three people wondered where the line ended and people that were familiar with the place said that "they kind of let every one in at the same time" ... but people who had arrived later were still inside before people that had arrived earlier. Not a big deal (unless the sushi bar counter fills up quickly) but so easily avoidable. I've been through this at other places and waiting to board an airplane, etc... I just want to relax in line and not constantly be micro-analyzing who is jockeying for position like it's the starting line in Pamplona. The sushi itself is so-so. Smallish pieces of toro on meh rice. The Salmon Tasting was four (smallish) pieces of assorted salmon and had decent flavors. We thought we would try this one because we already knew the Katsuya in Encino was meh but this is our last time to Katsuya.

We found Moon Sushi Bar and saw good reviews and so we decided to come and check it out. Upon entering, it was a bit of a rough start as it was pretty busy and borderline packed, and all in small restaurant. I don't know if the one waiter working never saw us because he was so busy, or what was happening because it took them five minutes just to acknowledge us and motion towards a table. Once we sat down, again, it took another five minutes just to get a menu. Right before we had gotten the menu, we had just debated leaving because it had been ten minutes and it seemed like maybe they had a full enough plate as it was. However, we're glad we stayed, though, because once we got our food, it was worth it! We ordered with the one guy who was taking orders and helping out most of the diners here. It did take a long time to get our food, which ended up biting us in the ass at the end when we wanted to order another roll, but had to wait, again, a long time just to receive it. At that point, too, most people had left, so we had expected it to come out maybe a tad bit faster, but it didn't. We ordered two specialty rolls and a normal basic roll. For how long it took, we should have gotten edamame and ordered them all at the beginning. Both of the specialty rolls were amazing and packed with flavor. One had a ponzu sauce, and another a yuzu lemon sauce, both of which my boyfriend and I love, so these were up our alley. The basic shrimp tempura roll was also really good, especially for being a more traditional and plain roll. None of it was too heavy, but after sharing three rolls, we were (unfortunately) full. We're looking forward to coming back to this sushi shop for our next sushi date night! They're so close by and have such great customer service and food. It was so nice and reassuring to see that a majority of people who came inside to eat, also knew the waiter and people working and were regulars. The waiter and guy who was taking care of us, who I could only assume to be the owner or manager, was saying thank you to each and every one of their customers and even giving some hugs! A group of guys came in and all cheered, laughed, and ended up also taking a shot of sake with the guy as well! Everyone who was working and eating all seemed so happy to be there. The ambiance and energy is unbeatable in such a friendly and positive environment.
