Started with the queso fundido with chorizo, had flavor but was extremely greasy. Had a lomo Gordita, which lacked taste, it did seem as if it didn't have any seasoning on the meat, same with the tacos. First time trying this place, my boyfriend and I were driving around trying to figure out where to go to eat, I was on Addison , was about to turn on Austin Ave and saw "Azteca Jalisco" and I was like yup that's where were eating. When we got there the ambiance seemed empty except for 2 people who were dining in. It was clean as well. Food was soooo good! I got the taco dinner and my boyfriend got the Gordita Dinner. 10/10 Service, the server was really nice and patient. Our food was out quick. As for the price, for 2 people it was 35$, I will say that their size large horchata is like almost 6$. Other than that I recommend coming here will definitely be back. Stopped by for a quick bite, had chiles rellenos and tampiquena, had an horchata and agua de Jamaica. Both dishes were really good, I will definitely go back for more. Have to first time trying this place after seeing numerous times.... The dishes was default 3 taco dinner 2 Al pastor (was really tasty) n 1 steak(steak was ok) dinner , carne asada steak was perfectly cooked not hard, easy to cut and chew.... Then we also had bisteak La Mexicana greatly flavored aswell... the ordered to go were all cooked very well and very tasty! Really don't need any sauces for the flavors in the dishes were awesome!!! Great delivery service. My order was hot and quick. There were no errors in my meal to my surprise. I'm very picky and for some reason it's hard to get my orders right. The service was excellent, the food was just okay. Beans were so runny, like gravy. Salsa was watery. Rice was kind of bland. Burrito was seasoned well but also soggy. The whole meal was *wet*. Alright, this place deserves to be talked about. I ordered takeout from here twice and it was great both times. This is my new go-to place to Mexican food. The food was well seasoned and the portioning is pretty generous. So far I've tried the steak torta, the steak flautas, steak Gordita, and steak taco. All of them were delicious. This place is probably one of the best taco places in the area. I used to go to Taco Feliz but they did not offer as many choices that Azteca offers. You can pick several different meat choice for tacos and each and everyone will be outstanding. They really hit it on flavor and quality without breaking your wallet. I've been wanting to stop by so I went today for the first time. I wasn't really happy with the food. I had Enchiladas rojas and tacos de carne asada and Al Pastor. The enchiladas were not to bad, however instead of dipping the tortillas in the sauce, they had a bottle of the sauce that they poured on top. The sauce was tasty, but it wasn't the traditional enchiladas. It comes with beans and rice, the rice was okay but the beans taste and looked like they were from a can instead of freshly made. The tacos, I've had better at Taqueria Thaly's on Belmont & Austin. The salsa could have been better, to watery. I had a banana licuado(milkshake), I've had better but it wasn't bad. The best one is at Atotonilco. They should offer the green salsa that is like a creamy avacado sauce, Thaly's has this. I'll probably give them one more chance and try something different. read more

It's 1/2 a block from my place, and I'm probably eating here 2-3 times a week. The guacamole and chips were plentiful, well seasoned and fresh. The horchata was sweet, as expected. The lengua gordita was well prepared with plenty of meat and the beans were good! The asada platillo con cebolla was delicious with a lot of well seasoned meat and plenty of tortillas to create your own tacos. True the salsas were watery, the rice and the refried beans need work. The beans were thin and flavorless. The rice was well cooked but also lacked notable flavor. This can develop into an excellent restaurant with the owner's attention to these minor flaws.
