I wanted to write a Review about how Happy I was to have found and used Ronny and Restoration General..I searched all over the Internet and Yelp and Angie's List and Home Builder's etc....A Company had come out in a New Home I recently bought in Northridge to test for Mold since there was Mold repaired under a Kitchen Sink and Dishwasher area a couple of months ago. I wanted to be safe and make sure it wasn't else where in the Home...Sure enough, it was in a corner of the Living Room. Ronny talked to me at length about this before sending Edgar out to my House. He was very knowledgable and friendly and returned My Phone call promptly which is a must in todays market place...Edgar came the next day and Edgar inspected it and took pictures and looked under the Carpet's and used his Meter's to verify what the Other Company had found. Ronny quoted a reasonable price to do the work and explained how long and the process. He needed an Asbestos test done 1st in the DryWall area being removed. He recommend Patrick Michael's at Advanced American Labratories to come do the test. I was cleared and the work began. Edgar and his Co-Worker removed my Draperies and took pictures how to put them back up...Great !!! They covered up my Air Conditioning Vents and they helped to move my living room furniture. They spent about a 1/2 day there. They left Fans and other Machines inside the Containment room they built for another 48 Hours. Edgar came back and removed his Fans. Ronny suggested I leave the Containment Room up since someone would now have to do the DryWall and Painting and further dust would be flying onto my Couches and Carpet and Drapes...I asked if Ronny could refer anyone to help me with that part of my Job. He said Yes, and I am now having that Man/Company do the remainder of the work and dry wall and sanding and painting. Ronny said Edgar will come back out to my Home and Put the Drapes back up as promised when I was done. Edgar even suggested it would be a good time to get the Drapes professionally cleaned. Haven't done the work yet so this review is just for their customer service. Ronny was very proactive with my situation and my problem. It was the day before thanksgiving and throughout the holidays, he promptly answered all my phone calls or texted back immediately. Others said they were open 24 hours but only had answering service taking messages. I find that communication is key to to good business and Ronny was excellent at it. Was very informative abut my mold situation and what I should do about it even before he would be able to come. Accepted pictures of damages to expedite the process as well. Great experience with Ronny and his team. We had 2 leaks coming from the roof and a balcony which were patched as a temporary solution. Well then came the winter of rain and the situation/leaks got worse, to the point that we could actually see mold on the drywall - not a lot, but enough to need remediation. Ronny advised to get the roof and balcony fixed first EVEN THOUGH this is SoCal and it "never" rains - thank goodness we took his advice because there were some freak rains even in the spring/summer. I was able to schedule Ronny immediately after we had the roof re-done and balcony waterproofed. We have an unconventional house with very high ceilings, so the contained area took up most of our family room. I didn't realize how much they would need to contain, but they made it happen PLUS moving all our stuff out securely. The remediation process was fine - it was loud and then after you have a giant fan that sounds like a wind tunnel to dry the space before re-testing to make sure the mold is completely gone. I was shocked by just how much mold was there and how much they needed to take out. In comparison to other estimates we got, Ronny was the most thorough, professional and competitive. We were having some black mold remediated at our house; I was actually looking for a third-party lab inspector to come do the post-remediation testing. I called Restoration General because of its stellar reviews; Ronny answered the phone, and told me that they were a remediation company, not a testing company. That would typically have been the end of the conversation, BUT after our call, Ronny then took the time to send me a recommendation for a testing company, the names of his contacts there, and with the instruction to tell them that he had recommended them, so that they would give me a discount. I had one brief phone conversation with Ronny, but he went out of his way to email me his recommendations (for what turned out to be an outstanding testing company), through which we did get a substantial discount. Ronny and his crew did really great work for us. We had mold remediation work done on our kitchen window and master bedroom window and ceiling. It was a three day process. All work was done during the first day, the second day they came back to inspect and make sure everything was going as planned, and after we had the mold retesting done on the third day they removed all of the containment materials and cleaned up. For the amount of demo work they did, the mess was non-existant and the retest passed on the first try. They also recommended Michael from M&M construction and painting to patch up the drywall and paint, who also did 5-star work. Highly recommended. read more

I can't believe how lucky I was to have found these guys. Just an outstanding, outstanding job, from start to finish. I will start by saying I was extremely nervous about starting this project, as I knew my mold problem was bad. I wasn't sure how far the mold had spread, how much demolition would be needed, how difficult the remediation would be, or how long my life would be disrupted. My concerns were totally unfounded, as I was in great hands from the start. Owner Ronnie was incredibly responsive for the duration of the project, answering the phone often on the first ring! I had other bids, but decided to stop obtaining additional bids after my first meeting with site supervisor Edgar, as he was extremely professional and educational, and gave me full details on the project which set my mind at ease. Ronnie also provided me with resources to provide the pre- and post- remediation testing, and the lead/asbestos testing, as well as post-remediation restoration and painting, all of whom were equally outstanding. Ronnie and Edgar gave me excellent suggestions on a part of the house I was unsure of how to remediate for mold, and did outstanding work there. Equally impressive was the great amount of detail in Ronnie's bid so I knew exactly what I was paying for and what the project entailed. I was extremely happy at how incredibly reasonable the bid was given the work involved (as I had suspected, mold testing revealed my mold counts were high). I was also blown away at the great care Edgar took during the project to isolate the area, minimize demolition, and how CLEAN they kept the not only the work area but the entry and exit ways in the house. They did such an outstanding job removing all of the mold in the severely infested area that post-remediation it looked like new construction. Most amazingly, the entire project from start to finish took less than 5 days! Now my home has passed post-inspection for mold, and because of the excellent referral Ronnie gave me for post-remediation restoration and painting, everything looks just like it did before remediation--only now sans mold! Their quote gives an extensive breakdown of costs and was reasonably priced. The remediation job itself was meticulous, thorough, and clean. This is a review about customer service and responsiveness. Last February I was concerned I might have water damage and/or mold in my attic resulting from the winter rains. Seeing the glowing reviews here for Restoration General I was doubtful they could be that good, but I nonetheless sent an email to ask about my situation. To my surprise I heard back from Ronny within minutes and soon took him up on his offer to drop by my place within the hour(!), as he was nearby and would for no charge take a look at my situation. He arrived when he said and promptly conducted a professional examination of my situation including scanning for water damage within my walls. I was relieved that all was dry and he was doubtful the growth I pointed out was mold (it later turned out to be drywall splatter on the lumber used when my roof was replaced). After visiting he proactively texted me referrals to contractors who could analyze my "mold" if I wanted to know what it was as well as directions for safely removing it myself. Ronny was generous with his time and advice and for that I am thankful and expect such behavior is representative of his provision of solid, above-board work for those who need his services. I honestly wish I could give Ronny and Restoration General more stars! I can't recommend them enough. We recently had an issue with our bathroom - water had penetrated the wall through some cracked tiles. A contractor had come and fixed the problem, but when we did a mold inspection to make sure no mold problems existed, the inspector indicated that the wall was still wet. I am 8 months pregnant and really did not want mold in the house so I called Ronny to come and take a look. He came out the next day at exactly the time he had said he would come (and 5 minutes early). He did an inspection and although he could have made easy money, he let me know that I should just leave everything as is and that I should not be concerned. He saved us at least $2000-30000 and for that, I will forever be thankful. Over the last couple of months, we have dealt with a lot of shady and dishonest contractors, etc. Ronny stands out as one of the most honest and pleasant I have ever worked with.
