I felt that I had to write a review on Ronny and the workers of Restoration General. They are completely amazing. This was the first project that I had to get completed after a recent divorce. I was unsure of all that needed to be done, or who to trust. I received one estimate, but didn't feel good about it. I read reviews on Ronny, and decided I would take a chance on him and his company and I was not disappointed. I explained to him my situation, and he began from that moment on to offer any support he could, that began with a review of my first estimate, and an explanation of the charges. His team then came out and gave a clear estimate of what needed to be done, including pictures. After the estimate, he called me to make sure that I understood the charges, and the process from start to finish, which included all needed testing and final certification for clearance. I am a teacher, so he made himself accessible during my open times, and communicated in whatever way was best for me: text, phone and email depending on the time of day. When I visited the house, the walk through was more than expected, and the containment areas were clean and neatly sealed. They gave complete explanations of what had been done, and supported me on understanding what needed to be done to get the house back to running order once they were done. I am overwhelmed by the kindness and goodwill of Ronny and his staff. I agree with the other reviews, there are still some good contractors out there, that are honest and full of good will and great service at a great price. These guys rock! I got quotes from a number of different companies to do remediation on a leak that caused some mold and Restoration General was the first to tick all the boxes. Ronny at the office was responsive and forthright - helping me understand the services they were to provide and what all the costs would be up front (which were very fair). Edgar was the tech who did our remediation and did an excellent job setting up the containment and doing the remediation. He got the highest marks from a family member who does environmental testing in Texas, saying she'd never seen such a clean containment set-up! Restoration General was not the first company we contacted. But the first company just didn't feel trustworthy. So I checked Yelp, and called these guys. At first I was skeptical about RG too as we started off a bit rocky due to a miscommunication. But they went above and beyond to make it right. The quote they provided had every detail on it and was less than the other company. They explained the whole process, what we needed to do before beginning, what they would do, etc. so we moved ahead with them. They started right on time and everything went exactly as they said it would. They got the job done very quickly and were very thorough. I did not like the lab we used to test for mold in the beginning so RG gave us referral to a lab for the final testing that has to be done to ensure the mold is completely gone before you remove all the airtight barriers to the area. This lab was a better price the the first one and we got results the same day (your results may vary) where the previous one took 3 days. RG swooped in as soon as we got clearance from the lab and had everything removed in no time. Thank you Ronny and Edgar! I experienced a very high level of professionalism and integrity with Ronny and his group. Ronny responded to my request very quickly. He told me exactly what I needed to do before starting my mold remediation process and gave a me a detailed scope of work and pricing. I did my homework and requested multiple estimates from different companies, but Ronny's price and level of detail was the best so I hired him. They got started on the job immediately. The technician that was doing the job was very professional and explained everything to me prior to starting the job. In addition, he adhered to the project timeline to the minute. I performed a lab testing after remediation and all results came in negative. I had to deal with a mold situation in the utility closet where the hot-water-heater and HVAC are located in a condo owned by my mother who has dementia and is now in Assisted Living. My mother had failed to take care of the cleanup after her old water heater burst. The water heater was replaced, but the mold continued to grow inside the closet walls. That was almost 2 years ago. In the meantime we had rented the condo to an elderly couple who started complaining about bad smells coming from the A/C, shortly after they moved in. We had several HVAC companies come out to check and it they certified that it was in good working condition. It was a very hot day and Edgar and his crew worked all day to get the job done. I walked through the condo with Edgar and I was satisfied that the job was done. The fans ran for 2 days, then the inspection company came to take the final air samples. I had Water buildup from a leak with my HVAC Unit and was told that I needed Mold Remediation immediately or there was a high probability of Mold development. This was terrifying and I turned to Yelp for assistance. I found Restoration General on Yelp and after reading some reviews, I gave them a call. Ronnie answered my call right away and could not have been more helpful and friendly. He reassured me that the situation would be taken care of right away and the next morning, the Tech was at my Condo to do the service. The service was done in a few days and the threatened area was bone dry with no signs of Mold anywhere. I then turned back on my AC after I was told by the Plumber that it was fixed and to my horror, the next morning, the area was wet all over again. I was beyond frustrated at the situation and after calling Ronnie again to ask for help, he had his Tech back out there the next morning. Fortunately by shutting off the AC once I discovered the initial problem had not been solved, the area was able to dry on it's own and no additional Mold Remediation was necessary.
