Brian and Gerald were some of the most professional people I have interacted with. Our 68 corvette was leaking coolant and not starting consistently. We had it towed on a Monday and every step of the way they kept me updated as to when the vette arrived, the diagnosis and more and by Monday night that same day it was repaired. Not to mention the shop is one of the most clever auto repair shops I have ever walked into. No, just no! Great at effing up, then a second time....same vehicle. They wanted the same incompetence to work on the car a third time, didn't even offer to tow car back to the shop. Oil changes seem to be their skill level. Then lies, lousy responses and then zero. The fact that they blocked me on FB and phone instead of offering to properly fix their crap should be all you need to know. Just a shady upsell shop. read more

Whether it is a newer Jeep or an old Jalopy, this is my go to. Brent, Jerald and Brian are very knowledgeable and customer oriented. The shop is clean, has all the right equipment and the manpower to get you back on the road in a timely matter. Their showroom is amazing and is stocked with parts. I first talked to one of the owners about a radiator drain flush and fill. He would not tell me the cost. This is a standard p/m and they are standard cost throughout the industry. I pointed this out to him and then he got attitude but complied. Then he asked if I wanted to buy half the company. I think there are three owners, you do the math. Went back a week later to have a radiator leak looked at after trying to make an appointment. They charged me half hour labor to tell me the leak was not that bad and should keep driving it plus 3% for using my cc. Also, my radiator fluid was in spec. The third owner cannot control his emotions and is abrasive. All three owners tried to browbeat me into having my oil changed there. Bottom line if you don't get your oil changed there, don't like being talked to rudely and don't like being charged for an evaluation, when you were not told up front that there was a cost and doesn't say on their website, and I told them exactly where and what the problem was. then maybe you should look somewhere else Oh and you don't want to buy half interest in the place then maybe you should look somewhere else. I've got an old British car and was referred to Restoration Rods. I went in and talked to them. I explained I didn't want a restoration just a good reliable runner. They suggested I bring it in for an inspection and go from there. Implying they were willing to work on it. So I brought my car in. When I picked it up they gave me a list of things it needed, many of which I told them about. Then they dropped the bomb on me that they didn't want to work on it. They should have just told me that in the beginning. They do get 2 stars because they gave me the number of someone that might be willing to work on it. Otherwise just 1star. read more

The owner is ruthless and doesn't care about his customers at all. Even when given the opportunity to improve a situation, he wouldn't budge. Brent had no concern about a problem that he created and had zero interest in making it right for his customer. Pretty pathetic behavior for an owner to display, if I do say so myself. This post is unfortunately long overdue. I wanted to like restoration rods but all I can feel is that I was overcharged for a steering wheel that I ordered for my classic. After paying over $300 to have the steering wheel shipped to their store, I installed it in my classic and within months the wood started to crack. I looked at possible replacements online for the same grant wheel that they ordered me and saw the same options for just over $100. That's not honesty at all if you ask me and I'm disappointed that I didn't search elsewhere before losing hundreds ordering a steering wheel from this business. read more

****** BEWARE****** They are far from honest, reliable or willing to stand behind their work! I took my 1989 Jeep Wrangler in to have the engine rebuilt and checked for overall safety. 4,260 miles after the first rebuild the engine seized and overheated. Brent claimed it was not his fault and claimed I caused the engine to overheat on a cold December night?? I reluctantly let him rebuild the engine again, which I was charged. 2,618 miles after the second rebuild the engine began to knock. This time he admitted to faulty work and said he would warranty and rebuild the engine a 3rd time. It sat at his shop for over 3 months before he got around to it. When I was finally able to pick up my jeep it was still running poorly. This time I went for a second and third opinion by 2 different certified mechanics. They both said the engine was in poor shape and did not appear to have just been rebuilt. I confronted Brent Rule and he said it was not his problem anymore and they were done with the jeep. I had to end up taking him to court, wasting almost a year of my time in litigation and finally was able to settle out of court. I had one of the other certified mechanics tear the engine down to diagnose and document the problems. They found old worn and broken parts were put back in, there were 2 cracks in the block, Brent and his team tried to cover up cracks in the manifold with a sealant, there was low compression, unusual scaring on cylinder walls, abnormal piston wear and much much more! This post is long overdue. I was referred to this shop by a guy from Kendall saying this shop did great tune and dyno services. 100% worse decision I even had, requested they put on my car on the dyno and see why I was loosing power, Car never put on dyno machine, they took my tune out & put their tune in it, ended up with a bunch of warning lights on the dash which I didn't drop it off with any warning lights on, refused to turn them off, took their tune out put some generic tune back in, go to pick up my car, now running like crap, pouring fuel down into engine and only running on 6 cylinders. Now I'm stuck paying my monthly loan payment's & full auto insurance for a car that's just sitting waiting to find another tune/dyno shop to be able to figure out if my engine is salvageable or not now??? Learn by my mistake, if you need a dyno done take it somewhere else!!! read more
