I've been going to this specific location for years. There's not a team like it in any other location. Everyone is real and wants to help by doing what they can. All the mechanics are super communicative and the front desk receptionist is outstanding! Every single call including my past due reminder calls are always kind and helpful never aggressive or rude. i've had bad experiences at every single location besides this one. From my car being drive with my handbrake to miscommunication on scheduling to no kindness. The boise location has got it down to perfection! read more

Went in because of a squeaking in my tire, told them I think I have a rock stuck. They looked, quoted me at $2,500 worth of repairs, said my brake pads were down to nothing and that's why it was squeaking. Took the tire off myself, poked around and FaceTimed my mechanic FIL. Guess what we found? A rock. Brake pads were getting low, but definitely not down to nothing like they said. Glad I didn't spend my rent on a rock. read more

Literally was having the worst day. Like the days you see in movies. Had a flat tire, so I hauled over to Les Schwab after work and totally expected to just drop off the flat and pick it up the next day. It was 5:45 and they close at 6 and so I know how annoying it can be when customers do this and expect same day maintenance. Well....the gentleman took my tire and gladly said "we'll fix it up for you right now." 20 mins later, I was on my way home. I could have cried I was so happy. Thank you Les Schwab! read more

I have been going to this location for over 25 years for brakes, tires, batteries, etc. Today I went fully anticipating to spend over $1000 for new struts, shocks and an alignment. The service people were prompt, helpful and patient with their explanation and nicely educated me on the situation. After a thorough and no charge evaluation, the rep felt that there was no present need for service. BTW, this is not the first time this location has felt that service was not needed as remotely I thought I might have a brake issue, but notified that the brakes still had plenty of miles remaining. So if you want honest recommendations and service only when necessary, would strongly recommend you go to the Jefferson Street Les Schwab. Oh, and one final observation, while I was in the waiting area I overheard a conversation between the service individual and a woman getting new tires. Without her asking or being aware of the fact, the service rep delivered a pleasant surprise and told her that she had active warranties on her replaced tires which saved her over $220. Not sure all business would have disclosed this. Can't get any better than that! read more

My wife's car had a flat tire. A surprise to us, of course. We happened to be near Boise's north end and so we pulled in to Les Schwab on Jefferson. Not only did they quickly get us in--like right now--but discovered the multiple sources of the leak, and replaced the tire, no problem. We were very surprised. Scott took good care of us and we are grateful. In our experience, the Les Schwab people are terrific. We highly recommend them. By the way, when replacing a tire, their techs will power-wrench the nuts off, but they carefully torque them back on, matching the specs specified by the car's manufacturers, using a hand torque wrench. read more

Jarrod got the vehicle on the rack to diagnose and give us options and within minutes knew we were poaching a few more hours of hotel pool time while the team replaced our brakes. Updated from 2-star to 3-star. I was thinking about this one for a while and decided it was worthy of the 3-star. ------------------------------------------- I'm going back and forth on my rating for this place. I'm going with a 2star for "Meh. I've experienced better." A 3star is "A-OK" and it wasn't that on either occasion. Maybe a 2.5. It was between 5:30-6:00pm on a Monday evening and I had a flat tire and was able to get some air put in it and limp down to this location. Corey - seems like a manager maybe - was great. He explained everything to me, what my limited options were, and helped me the best that he could. The lady at the counter was not at all friendly. Maybe she doesn't want to see people coming in when the business is closing soon? But if you're open, you're open. I wouldn't say she was rude, but the first person you see when you walk in the door should smile, greet you, have some expression. And she did none of those things and wasn't customer service inclined at all. I was surprised that I wasn't given a quote on tires, so I asked the lady if I could get a quote. You'd think I was asking her to type the dictionary or something because it was clear I was putting her out. Even though it was already printed and on the printer. She called Corey back to give it to me and go over it with me. I asked Corey if when I came back to buy tires do they have these tires in stock, do I need to call ahead to order or anything like that and he said, "oh no, we have those here." Great. So, we came down to get a full set of the tires one week later. I had called before to get a time estimate and the guy said it would be about 45 minutes, depending on how busy they were. We were the first people in the door at 8am and they said it would be 3 HOURS. What happened to 45 minutes? They don't have those tires, they have to get them from another store! Ugh - really frustrating and totally derailed our day-off plans we had for the day. We got our tires and went on our way. I will be back to Les Schwab because they are known for their customer service and fixing flats for free. But maybe not this location? I'm not sure ... read more

We've purchased or had repair work done on our tires at Les Schwab for years, & have always been pleased with their impeccable customer service attitude & quality products. Today, I brought in a flat tire to determine if it required a repair or replacement. After 1 hr, I got a phone call to tell me it was already repaired & ready for pick up. Not only did they help me immediately upon arrival (even with 2 other customers in progress), they (literally) ran to get my tire for me, explained where the repair was made...AND said "no charge." The service is still what Les Schwab himself created & is still intact: outstanding. read more

We have been taking our vehicles to Les Schwab on Jefferson for years. We recently dropped off a vehicle for service because of a vibration problem. After checking alignment and balancing the tires, the technician was very good at communicating with us about what our options are if the vibration continues. Previously to the date for this review, I had bought a full set of tires from Les Schwab on a car different from the one I had service done on for this review. Their Warranty on their tires is great, while their price is a little steep as they require you to replace all four tires on all wheel drive vehicles (I had a Subaru that was all wheel drive). A few months later, I had a I had a blow out on the free way. Keeping in mind I NO LONGER had the tires that I had bought from Les Schwab, they still replaced my blown out tire due to my recent purchase with them. They did so, quickly and with very professional service. I highly recomend them for their warranties on their product and service, and for their professionalism. read more

Jeff the manager is great. The technicians are wonderful. The bookkeeper is not. She refuses to smile, and asking her to help is like pulling teeth. I have bought beams, tires and a battery from this location and refuse to do business with someone who treats a grown man like a child. I say please and thank you, and generally am a polite person. I receive no warmth or response from this woman. She should be in the back not dealing with customers who choose to spend hard earned money at this location. read more

David at the Jefferson St. Les Schwab was fantastic. I came in with a screw in my tire, and 10 minutes after pulling in, it was completely fixed for no charge. When I first pulled in, David immediately greeted me kindly and looked at my flat tire. 60 seconds later he was already fixing it. Like I said, 10 minutes later, I was driving back home with a fixed tire. I can't say enough how pleased I was with David's service at this Les Schwab. Smelly! Good smelly new tires. I had to discover this place because the city girl was transplanted to Idaho and in Idaho it snows. And when it snows my city girl tires (which were nearly bald) make my pretty car slide all over the road. And if my car slides then I slide and get real scared and wanna go home. And so you need snow tires. Ok. So about an hour and 600 dollars later my beautiful new tires were ready to roll. This was after the fella behind the counter had to run to a different store to pick up the tires my car needed, they didn't have them there. Nice! Lots of young men here who know what they're doing and are quick and eager to please. Hmmm, you just can't beat that. read more

Got a flat on my way to work in my Subaru Forrester this AM on State street. Always a bit nervous about flats in an AWD vehicle, as it is suggested by manufacturer to replace all 4 tires. Fixed and repaired in 35 min-no charge. The thing is.... they could have told me my tire was shot, and I would have purchased a new set. The staff are courteous, prompt, and best of all honest, Oh and not too hard on the eyes either. Thanks so much!!! read more

I have been a long time Les Schwab customer. I bought a set of tires from the Caldwell Les Schwab, upon their recommendation. These tires were rated 65K miles. I have put 55K on them. The first 30K miles of these tires received the usual wear and I rotated them regularly. The last 25K (1 years driving for me) I have had to bring my car into the Jefferson St location every 6-8 weeks as something is wrong with them. Sometimes, its legit, there is a nail in the tire. Other times, the tire just isn't holding air. Whats bizarre to me is I have NEVER had a set of tires that had this many "nails" in them. I could combine all tires purchased in my driving life and not had to have this many repairs. This tire has received such horrible reviews that Les Schwab has discontinued to carry them. I have complained several times and, for the first time in my Les Schwab loyalty, am met with a "who cares' attitude. I am given quotes for new tires that are at a high price. I would even consider paying the higher price if the service was there. The service I have been receiving at this location rivals Walmart. If I'm going to receive Walmart service, I want to pay Walmart prices. I'm ready to give the competition my business. I can get crap tires with crap service anywhere. I expected more from Les Schwab and am saddened that they are turning into just another business with its hand out to this cash cow. I cannot express how much I appreciate the quality of service I received at this Les Schwab. I took my Jeep to a car dealership and was quoted $800 for a service that I knew couldn't be that expensive. On top of that the people I was working with were not transparent with me and I felt like I couldn't trust them. I called Les Schwab right away and got an honest quote for $470. I called the dealership back and of course they tried to scare me into leaving my car with them so they could fix it - saying things like "are you sure you want to do this?" I stood my ground and took my car from the dealership, took it to Les Schwab and ended up only paying $370. Through this time I talked to different Les Schwab reps and every single one was genuine and supportive. These guys took good care of me and were honest from the beginning. I will go back to Les Schwab time and time again. read more

I have been here many times and the staff never disappoints me! Last Friday, I drove up at 5:45pm, just minutes before they were closing. I had a nail in my tire and even though that sounds simple, it takes several more steps than one would realize. They did it quickly, efficiently, professionally and with a smile on their face! Those of us in a customer service business knows how hard that is to do when you're minutes from closing after a long work week! And they didn't charge me for their service. Great customer service is hard to find, however you'll find it here. I've brought my vehicles here for years and they've always done an outstanding job (tires & wheels, general service). Brought in a car I today that I recently bought for an oil change and a tire sensor replacement. They ran the diagnostics and determined that the oil did not have to be changed, and found a sensor that worked/looked good on my custom wheels. Thanks Dave for going the extra mile.
