An uninformed patient cannot provide proper consent. Had I known that I would be in excruciating pain for more than a week, unable to move facial muscles, chew properly, ambulate, shower without tears, speak without pain, or sleep a night without waking up in pain, I would not have consented to this surgery. Only after a call to the office a week later did I learn that the scalp is complicated and presents these issues. I was never told to expect to miss days from work, and was assured that there are not a lot of nerves on the scalp and that it would not be painful. Even when the scalp was being pulled and stitched, and I directly asked, "this really feels like it will hurt a lot later, what can I expect?" I was assured that it would not. Be your own advocate. Get another opinion.

I read somewhere that most people need at least 9 treatments in order to get rid of all hair and have no regrowth. Like I said I did 6 and love that I can go longer without having to shave. In my case what grows back is very thin hairs(not coarse like before) and it's only certain patches not the entire legs. I would like to get more done some day to make it permanent.
