Restoration project. Bad finish. Had them to tear into 2 walls and parts of the ceiling in my unit and units above due to water damage from above.  I reported that they damaged the wall socket, and no one has returned to replace it.  Furthermore, they did not do a good job finishing the wall and painting. Restorerz was incredible to work with, in what was one of the most stressful times of our lives. Our first floor flooded at 1am during a rainstorm, and Restorerz arrived for an assessment within one hour of us calling them. They then came back an hour later at 4am with equipment to help with initially drying out the house. After 3 days, they ran tests and took readings, eventually leading to us needing to remove nearly all of the affected floors (including engineered wood and ceramic tile floors). They packed out all of our furniture and stored it in a vault, without us even needing to be around. They carefully sealed off the construction area of the home, being particularly careful with our foyer's chandelier, then spent days removing the floors and readying them for another vendor to install our new floors. Chris was our first point of contact, and he was responsive, calm, informative, and reliable. He was super knowledgeable about the process and what to expect, even before they had official readings. Eduardo, Christobal and Javier were there throughout the process helping out, and each of them were courteous, responsive and efficient. We were already in an unrelated process of remodeling the exterior of our house, and they handled that inconvenience of having to deal with scaffolding and other work crews on the property with ease. We dealt with Angela over the phone to help with scheduling and billing questions, and she was fantastic and efficient as well. As we weren't always at the house during their work, there may have been other employees who helped save our house. Grateful to all of them. I hope I never have to call them again, but I would definitely use them all over again if another emergency comes up. read more

Restorerz handled my water damage emergency swiftly and efficiently. They communicated with me and helped me with my insurance claim so that I could get the claim approved and the work could be done. The insurance took a while to approve and Restorerz was with me throughout the entire process helping by contacting the insurance claim adjuster and pushing through the approval. On August 26, 2024 we received a call from Edward who said that he was the CEO. He stated that he was going to keep his employees from doing any further work with the insurance company because of my review. He said that my review was doing the worst thing that could be done to a company. He said that clients that understand their workflow benefit from it 110% but clients that do their own thing and take a different path end up wishing that they never did. Unless the review was taken off, they were not going to put in the work with the insurance carrier. On 8/28/24 Anzhela, the Administrative Director of Restorerz contacted my husband and told him that the insurance company had only approved $11,0000 but she would make the rest of it go away if I removed my review. She gave us until 1pm. I was at work and unable to talk to him until after 2 pm. He asked her to speak with me but she refused. Today, I received an email from Anzhela stating that the owner instructed her to hold off on communication with the carrier and it would be my responsibility to take care of everything moving forward. None of this was a surprise, it was the expectation! That's exactly what their contract and a lot of these other 1 star reviews will tell you. Restorerz does not care what the insurance company approves because their contract makes the homeowner liable. Like my insurance adjuster told me, they don't have the supporting documentation because they are overcharging but with this contract , they don't have to! They will just bill you. And that is what they have done. I didn't post this review to bad mouth this company. I should have never trusted them. When I had reservations about the contract, I should have never signed it. I have to deal with this very expensive lesson. I posted this so that others will not get taken advantage of in the same manner. Make sure that whoever you work with full discloses items in their contract that may be a red flag, Restorerz does not do that. Make sure that they are approved vendors for your insurance company when they tell you that they work with your insurance company, Restorerz is not. Make sure that when they tell you that you can trust them, you can. I do not trust this company. The estimate that they refer to was dependent on the work. They didn't do any that amount of work. If they did, then they would provide the supporting information to the insurance company and they would have been paid. The entire overinflated amount of almost $19,000. read more

[Update to the Business Owner Response] 1. If there were alternative options, then why within your contract did you not lay thouse out? If we knew a better alternative, then we would've proceeded just like we did with the person who referred us to Restorerz. None of the alternatives were presented and only a contract. If you knew our policy, then why didn't you resolve issue #3? Even the "odd" addition to my request was because there was no upfront cost estimate given to us. I even shared the budgeting concern and the response I received was "I don't like your bad thoughts, trust us." (I recommend Yelp customers to read Evan S and Trevor D reviews on Restorerz Van Nuys location as well). 2. You just contradict what you reported to the insurance. We have on record a report of no mold from Restorerz. Now you are claiming that you remediated mold? 3. I emailed you the damaged tile photos on May 15th. This just contradicted your point on #1 if you knew that this will not be covered. In addition, the issue still has not yet been resolved. 4. You were not willing to work with us as we were given an ultimatum with a lien. Restorez puts on a pressure tactic and I'd be happy to share with anyone that's assessing this review on what that looks like with evidence. --------------- Do not sign any of their contracts and constantly videotape their work. They claim they are experts so why couldn't take give me an upfront cost estimate? The only reason why I used their services and signed their contracts, though I was also very hesitant after reading the contract, because my plumber referred me to them. My plumber asked them to take care of us instead they took advantage of us. Based on two other reviews from the Van Nuys location, I had to pull in attorneys. Do not waste your time and money with Restorerz. They make you sign contacts as part of the "administration" process for "insurance but that's VERY misleading. For instance, I raised concern of our bathroom tile being broken from their work. They said that's unsubstantiated. If I was I making multiple false claims then wouldn't I claim that they've broken all the items they moved from one part of the house to another? Also, they didn't submit anything to insurance until AFTER I signed the contract. I was not satisfied at all and yet they told me verbally on the phone the "customer satisfaction" contract was to submit to insurance. My advice: keep all written request and video tape them. Honestly, it was such a pain and headache for couple of months dealing with such deceptive business. The worst experience. Don't "trust their process" and walk away from them. Unfortunately we had a water leak that went unnoticed for quite some time. By the time we realized what was going on the damage was done. The plumber could not do the work at the time they came as they found mold inside the wall. We immediately looked and found Restorez Emergency Services. John was at our house right away to give us a quote and get a team to come and clean it up. The team he sent was great, they took great care in the tearing and disposing of everything. I was able to get the plumber in to fix the pipe and Restorez left fans to dry the area. Anzhela has been super helpful post the work in dealing with the insurance. I had a water leak in my primary bathroom shower back in December and hired Restorerz for the mitigation service. I initially met their project manager Edgar, who assisted me in filing a claim with my insurance company. He was helpful in communicating with the adjuster and keeping me updated with the status of my claim. To make a long story short, there were some hurdles in getting my claim resolved. They were punctual, attentive and and answered every single question I had from the biggest concern to the minor details. Similarly to another review I saw, I also hired Restorerz for a small job that they tried to overcharge for. There was flood damage from a pipe burst under my home and they were hired for remediation. Rather than go under the house and clean out any of the affected soil, the techs that showed up threw some absorbent material (akin to kitty litter) and set up 2 fans in conjunction to a dehumidifier. They came to pick up the fans and dehumidifier about a week later. The total time they spent at the house working was 1.5 hours. I know this because I have 11 security cameras on my property and had everything recorded from the moment they arrived from the moment they left. They sent a bill for about $11,800. In the bill they listed numerous services that they never did, and even claimed 32 billable hours on one section. Signing also states that I would be responsible for whatever insurance doesn't cover, but over the phone a billing rep assured me they aren't in the business of "screwing people over". When I called about this I was essentially ignored as the representative said "don't focus so much on the numbers, just send it to your insurance, trust the process". So I consulted with an attorney then sent an email listing everything that was wrong with the bill, and included the security camera tapes. Their response was that they sent me the bill as a courtesy and that I already signed an agreement to pay them. But then the rep went line by line to my response and reduced the bill down to $4,100, saying that his men "should have" done those things. He said he had been fair and would not change anything else on the bill and refuses to communicate to my insurance. Then they started threaten me with lien letters, for the $11,800 even. This bill for $4,100 still had services that they did not perform and I knew it so I asked for clarification, which was refused and responded to with strange agitated responses on their part, including telling me that he would explain the science of their work if I wanted to pay him an hourly rate for the explanation. He followed that by saying he never looked at my security tapes showing what work his team actually did, and said that he never will. So they removed about $7,700 from the bill without even looking at my security footage? As for the remaining $4100, I was very fortunate upon explaining the situation to my insurance that they covered it despite the fact that Restorerz provided 0 evidence of any of their claimed work. The kind of situation that requires you to hire someone for this type of service is going to be stressful enough, don't make it harder on yourself by hiring the wrong people. read more

Restorerz breached the contract. Our belongings were effectively held hostage and subject to conversion. On 12/31/24, our home suffered a water leak and flood. After shutting off the water, we contacted a plumbing company that recommended Restorerz. They arrived for mitigation and proposed an all-inclusive package: packing out our belongings, storing them in climate-controlled units, and returning them when the house was ready. Restorerz began removing items from the home to start mitigation. It soon became clear they sought ongoing control over our belongings, emptying additional rooms under the guise of "mitigation." They billed our homeowners insurance, K76, for mitigation only, with charges grossly inflated. Our insurer itemized the bill, showing more than a 50% overcharge. The policy clearly states there should be no such overcharges to the insured. When we realized we were being scammed, we hired a lawyer. The owner told us, "We can make your life difficult for hiring an attorney without asking us" From that point, Restorerz intensified pressure: allegedly billing the insurance, threatening to impose a lien on our house, and demanding that we pay the remaining balance. The insurance paid approximately K40 to Restorerz for mitigation, and about K50 separately for packing out, storage, and return of belongings. Since July 2025, there have been numerous attempts by Attorney and adjuster to obtain the return of our belongings, but Restorerz has not complied. Instead, they have demanded that we pick up our items at our own expense and sign a letter waiving risk of loss or damage--claims they allegedly advised at the time of pack-out. This is not true; they had assured our belongings would be kept in climate-controlled storage, but actually we learned they were keeping in their warehouse. The house is ready for occupancy, but we have no essential living items, and none of our belongings have been returned. BBB reviews indicate similar complaints from other customers. read more

I had a pipe burst/water damage that damaged my home pretty badly. Restorerz came and was able to dry out my house and prevent the damage from being any bigger than it was. The technicians were helpful with making sure that the area that was damaged was closed off so that it has less of an effect on our day to day life. I'm writing a review for Restorerz, particularly for Anzhela who has been supporting me during a stressful time. My house had water damage and Mercury Insurance denied the claim. As a single mother who is also a disabled out-of-state landlord trying to manage the property myself, this has been a particularly trying time. I emailed/talked to Anzhela multiple times. She tried to stand up to the insurance company, but they were firm in denying my claim. Although i wanted to appeal the denial, she encouraged me to not to as multiple other claims were also denied and decisions weren't being reversed. To help me financially, she reduced my payment to almost 60% of the original fee. This has helped me not only financially, but stresswise, as appealing the claim could drag on indefinitely. I'm grateful for her compassion. All-in-all, I would encourage anyone to work with Restorerz. They really do want to help you in all ways. read more

This place is amazing my mother which is 68 years old had a flood recently and I was stuck out of state. Not knowing what to do I was beyond stressed out. Edgar shortly after called me and said Nick we got this. He wasn't lying they removed everything and they dried everything down within a few days. We world send them to jobs and they would completely disregard all of our professional agreements we made throughout the relationship.
