Had a great meal and great service tonight at Resurgence! Gavin, our server was friendly and helpful! The beers were great, and the food came out Hot , fresh and , in a timely manner! We throughly enjoyed our meal and are already planning a return trip! Thank you Resurgence and Gavin for a great night out!
Not only did we have a very good and nice waiter, we had a lovely lunch. It was the monthly "lunch bunch" get together. It was a table of 12, so our waiter had a lot to do, taking the orders and keeping them straight and keeping the glasses filled with water or soda pop. We asked about separate checks; it was no problem. I had the 716 cheeseburger once again. It was just as good as the last time I had it, big and juicy with lettuce, tomato and sliced onion. The French fries are good too.
Not my first visit here and it wan't be my last. They have great beers and good food. I started with a Buf IPA, a hazy New England style IPA. Fruity notes and about 6.5% ABV. On Tuesdays their special is the 716 burger for just $7.16. It's a "standard" burger, with cheese (American), lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. It was a really good burger, very tasty.
We have been to Resurgence many times for drinks, we love Christine who helps with promotions of products / sampling. We usually don't eat here but decided to stop for dinner and ordered wings. They were actually sauced well, hot and delicious. We tried the MVP and for the ward sauces and both were delicious! We sat at the bar and the bartender was mediocre but we are fine with that. They had trivia going on so once that started it was loud but we could still talk amongst ourselves without yelling at each other. Dinner was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised!
Another fun discovery thanks to the WNY Craft Brew Tour Cards from Habitat for Humanity. This place is HUGE. There is a large parking lot but it's gravel so anyone using mobility devices may want to circle the block for street parking. The host at the front was friendly and helpful, and let me know what kinds of seating were available so they could find me a perfect one for my needs. My server was great too so big kudos to the staff here. I sat indoors; the patio looks awesome too so this is a multiple-visits-to-see-everything kind of place. I had a Loganberry Wit (wheat beer) with a Bacon Bleu burger. Both beer and burger were good. They were generous with the bleu cheese, bacon, and garlic aioli. I'd say four stars on the beer and three on the burger - it's a frozen-patty style but the toppings were on point and the bun was great so that made up for it. The food menu is pretty vanilla. The drinks menu is excellent! There are a ton of beer choices plus wines and a great cocktail list. I will definitely be returning for that. This place is loud. It felt like a big party atmosphere, in a good way, but a little overwhelming until my brain adjusted to it (as a noise-sensitive person I always like to note these things). There was music but I could barely hear it over all the people; conversations need to be at an "outside voice" volume. You can see the huge brewing and canning gear - it is super neat. It doesn't get more local than that!
I truly love going to resurgence. They offer a great variety of bar food and craft beer. It is a fun place. We just sit around with friends. The only downsize is the service at the bar is very slow last time I went there. There were three people at the bar and it still took me 15 minutes to get a drink, however the ambience is worth it.
Stopped by on a Saturday night a few weeks before Christmas and this place was hopping! We waited about 40 minutes to get a table in the restaurant area which is much quieter than the huge bar area. You can also order food in the bar area if you like to scream to be heard. Burgers were very good with some interestingly cut fries (slightly crunchier than regular fries). Of course, there is a great selection of Resurgence beers and BlackBird ciders, along with a full bar with specialty drinks. Look out for discount coupons on Clipp.com.
My favorite brewery in Buffalo and one of my favorite overall. Never a visit goes by that I don't make my way here AND grab some beer to go. Great IPAs and love the nostalgic flavors of tying Buffalo things like Sponge Candy(Stout) and Loganberry(Wit) with their beer. The service is impeccable here and the spot is just incredible both inside and outside. Plenty of seating with great merch.
We stopped by after Christmas Market, and the place was jumping, but we found a table right away. Ordered at the bar and the food was ready quickly. Everything was fantastic! Festive decorations made the evening even better. I highly recommend this place!
The customer service and overall experience here blew us away. This was our first time here and we originally came for the holiday decor and we're surprised by the lengthy menu of beer and food. The staff in the service were impeccable. Everyone was so friendly we will definitely be going back.
First time where but will not be my last! I really enjoyed the brewery tour and learned a lot about the different types of brews they make. The food was very good as well. We shared a few appetizers and my favorites were the hot pepper dip and the chili Brussel sprouts. I got the honey garlic chicken sandwich for my meal with regular fries and the fries had such a great flavor! Everything on the menu looked really good so it was a hard choice and I can't wait to go back to try something else
Chicago burger 7/10 Two smash burger patties. The pickles came through a lot overriding some other flavors to me. The Onions would be better if they were sautéed down a little more. They were almost raw. It definitely needed a tad more dressing too to balance the flavors. Amount of cheese was good. Silo Sammy 8/10 Good flavor on here. The steak was shaved and cooked plain. Then you get some heat with the banana pepper cheese. Didn't really taste the garlic aioli much. For this to be better I have 2 suggestions: if the bread was like a garlic bread it would be amazing. Or, I also think pan frying it like a grilled cheese would also make it better with the caramelization of the bread. Potato wedges 10/10 Delicious, perfectly salted and seasoned, and perfectly fried. Truffle Garlic aioli 7/10 Very truffley. A little definitely goes a long way. Beer cheese 8/10 Smooth and thick. A good cheesy flavor. It did get cold and harden up very fast though which made it hard to dip.
Very large space. Open, with great decor. Friendly staff. Made reservations on a Friday night, was immediately seated. Not a big beer drinker so we tried some mocktails and NA beer. One friend did habe some lemonade tea sours, which was very good, so much so we bought a four pack to bring home. Regular bar food. Tasty. The highlights of the meal were the brussel sprouts, potato wedges, burger and chicken fingers. The lows were the hot pepper dip, it literally had no taste or heat. Wife got the honey chipotle chicken sandwich which she said was way to sweet. It was suppose to have pepper jack cheese, but if it did it did not provide any heat to offset all that sweetness. You can add on 5 wings to any handheld sandwhich, for 7 bucks, which we all did. The wings were good. Could of been crispier but overall a decent wing. Giving three stars for food but added an extra star because our server (Allison)was just great. She made the experience with so-so food just a good time!! Service matters and she did a great job. Not the best parking.

Gosh darn I love this place. The beers on tap are good in variety and great in flavor. The cocktails are surprisingly awesome for a brewery. The burgers are freaking delicious. It always seems to be bumpin' here every time we go but we always manage to find an open table or seats at the bar. This space is huge, so it's perfect for bar hopping or grabbing dinner with a big crew. One of my go to places!! read more

Great place to grab a beer , big selection and two bars.With fast and friendly service I did the starts 'n shares of the brewery nachos and for the hand helds the black bean veggie burger.The nachos were house chips with pickled red onions,lime crema ,pico de gallo,jalapeños and beer cheese sauce it was a huge dish but it got soggy fast but was still enjoyable.The veggie burger was on the spicy side and came with potato wedges that were overcooked.They have inside or outside dinning and plenty of parking in their lot. read more

With speedy service and a smile I ordered the starts 'n shares and received the Brewery nachos. They are house chips with pickled red onion,lime crema, puco de Gallo, jalapeños and a beer cheese sauce.You get a full Plate that was tasty but they got cold and soggy fast.I then ordered from the hand held section a black bean veggie burger that was a tad spicy and came with potato wedges that were hard.They have two bars and lots of beer selections to choose from plus plenty of parking in their lot. read more
Met up with friends. The outdoor area was great. Plenty of seating and most tables had umbrellas if the sun gets too intense. Had a few beers which were all good. The blueberry shandy has a great color. The fried cheese curds were delicious. Glad to see those are starting to become a thing in WNY. I finally got a chance to hang out here and enjoy some drinks on a Sunday. I really like this brewery. I'd been to this location before but I was outside working and event and didn't get a chance to really check things out. This space is very different from the first brewery. I really like the layout and the space. It has more of a welcoming feel and the space is more cozy despite it being so much bigger. The outdoor space looks like its very nice in warmer weather too! I really like the fact that there's so many drink options. I am not a huge beer drinker but my fiance is and it's nice that there's options that we both enjoy. I really enjoyed the drink 'F.U. Awesome'. It was right up my alley. I also tried the mimosa flight and it was really fun because I had the option of trying a few beer-mosas with a few mimosas. I really like that because I was able to test out some beer options. Now I never would have thought that mixing beer with orange juice would be a good mix but to my surprise it was quite tasty. I really liked ward rainbow and pretty fly for a rye guy. I would definitely try them again. The brunch menu looked really good! I would have tried everything on the menu but we couldn't stay so we opted to stick with drinks. I noticed my neighbors having an amazing breakfast burrito and it looked amazing. I plan on going back just to try some of the brunch options! The onion rings looked delicious and I would try them for sure! read more
So my journey to Resurgence Brewing Company started on Niagara st. on the west side of Buffalo. Arrived there on a rainy Sunday afternoon only to find they had moved. Bummer. So I drove down to the Chicago location. It is at a dead end in a warehouse complex and it is right next to Hartman's distillery. Parking was slightly challenging, but there is plenty of it. And on this rainy day the place was packed. It is a little tricky. They don't have table service here. Everything is self serve. You order your beer at the bar area by standing in a line. You can order food there as well. Or they have a food order tablet on the wall near the entrance. I came in the back way through the beer garden. This place has a lot of space both inside and out. I started my food order with the avocado toast and it was just average. The toast was soggy. The avocado paste was well seasoned, but it could have used more. And the scrambled eggs on the toast were meh. A fried egg and some greens like arugula would have elevated this dish. As well as a wheat grained bread instead if the white bread. It was more like a scrambled egg sandwich. The home fries which came with it were the best part of the meal. I wouldn't recommend this. The BEER: Tangerine Kolsch 4.8% ABV... this tastes like a partially ripe clementine. It was okay for a kolsch. Loganberry Wit 4.2% ABV... it was sweeter than I expected, refreshing and good Purple Pineapple Eaters kettle sour 5% ABV... like a sour fruit punch, decent. Watermelon Gose 5% ABV... imagine a slightly sour jolly rancher which is mildly Watermelonesk. This is a STAR!!! Killer Whale Tank IPA 6.5%... tropical fruity and dank with a semi sweet finish. Citmo NEIPA 6.5% ABV... starts smooth, finishes piney. It is a well crafted New England IPA. Green Heart IPA 6.5% ABV... fruity and kind of light. It is deceiving. A sneaky summer drink. Drinkable and crushable. Over the Hop strawberry IPA 5.8% ABV... strawberry at the nose and the finish. This was delightfully good. So the real question is would I return to Resurgence. Unequivocally yes! The beer is top notch. The food is just okay, but after a few more of the delicious craft beers, I am sure the food would be just what the doctor ordered for a rainy day of drinking. read more

Wow, wow I'm blown away. I didn't think it could get better than the original location but it sure did! Beautiful building inside and out. The outdoor patio is an alleyway between the brewery and Hartman's Distillery but it's super spacious. Even on a hot day a nice breeze is generated. Food and drink ordering is easy. For food you order inside and they text you when its ready. Completely avoids a log jam of human beings. Food is OK. Wings were decent. The sauce they were tossed in was tangy and spicy. Nachos could've used more toppings. Chips has a nice flavor to them on their own. Other than the ambiance the drinks stole the show here. I've always been a fan of their beer. And I'm not a seltzer guy but their berry flavored seltzer blew me away. A must stop if you're in Buffalo. read more
I really like this brewery the location is so nice and the service has always been great. I really like the food they have a full menu with appetizers and entrees and even offer salads. They have beer flights. This is a great place to hang out with friends. read more

This review is only for the eclipse beer we picked up to be consumed later. The staff were prompt in getting us the beers and it was great that they had something special for the eclipse. The brewery looked very clean and organized - it added to the ambience. read more
First time "visiting" the Chicago st resurgence and it was only a curb side pickup so the review is only on food and service, and friendly and delicious is the verdict! Ordered online which was super simple, plus you can browse the beers for pickup in detail this way too. The Chicago location has limited food goes at the moment, I think Friday's and Saturday's for their burger shack. Good streamlined selection, burgers, Mac and cheese, kids options, wings, vegetarian burger options, and some loaded toppings like Mac & Cheese or eggs. I rolled into the pickup spot and called the number and order was ready for me :) super friendly and fast service. I got a 6 pack of IPA for $11 before tax (can't wait to try!!) and a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo with fries for $13 before tax. Delicious burger although there is no option for getting it cooked to your liking of doneness. Despite this it was juicy and delicious! The fries smacked! Well seasoned and nice serving! The only qualm I have is the meal was a tad salty for my liking. I am pumped I hopefully get to experience the actual dining environment and some more foods and brews! Def a great spot to stop with excellent view of buffalo ward and waterfront! read more

Cool place you can sit inside or out. Good selection of Great beers at a very reasonable price. $6 - $8 a glass . Food is a simple menu but an OK mix. I had the avocado burger was very juicy and tasty. Fries were great crispy and salty the way I like them! The wife had the tacos and loved them. Their is no table service you have to order at the bar or the 1 kiosk, that was the only one we saw. We were their for the dueling pianos they were fantastic !!!! read more

I was really impressed with resurgence when restrictions first let up. It was the first place that felt like they were taking COVID seriously and They were careful about spacing, seating and general precautions. I tried to go last night and it was first come first serve, no hostess (was told to just grab an empty space anywhere). go up to the bar to order and go to the food station to get food which is a lot of people moving around maybe unnecessarily. Tables that were empty were dirty with plates still (that's fine since they were busy) but if it's first come first serve, I'm not incentivized to make sure it's sanitized before I sit down. Went up to the tap room and it was an enclosed space that was full of people and not keeping six foot distance with the exception of the tables outside of the main hall - meaning the balcony over looking the tap room and tables in the stairwell. I want to support local but I'll just buy their beer elsewhere and won't be back until after vaccination because it's just not worth the risk right now. Real shame because they were my go-to. read more
We visited Resurgence for brunch this week and were very impressed. The space was very cool, and the service was quick and friendly. Our table started by splitting the cinnamon roll, which was excellent. We split it four ways, and everyone got a few bites. I liked how the frosting wasn't overly sweet. We also ordered some mimosas. They were very good and a great price. I would recommend they serve them in a smaller glass, because the orange garnish they placed on the rim of the glass was far away from the actual drink. For my entree I ordered the bacon and egg poutine. I asked if it was served over french fries and the server told me yes, but it was actually served over breakfast potatoes. Nevertheless, it was very good, and tasted like authentic poutine. Our table ordered a few flights of beer, and it seemed like they had plenty of options for everyone's tastes. The beers I chose were very good, my favorite was the Tropical Staycation Sour. I also tried a sip of the Paloma, and I would definitely order that again. read more

Resurgence is definitely a place to bring friends who would like to see a more historic side of Buffalo, dine at a restaurant which is trendy, and have some decently okay food. Post covid, one has to order food and drink at the counter and then take a seat. They will then text you while your food arrives. While you sit and wait, the waitress will annoy you by asking if you have ordered, as I'm not sure if we looked like vagrants sitting at the table with our drinks. After the food arrives, the waitress will continue asking if the food is good, and then walk away. If you have any issue with the food or need to order more, you will have to get up and take care of it yourself. At the end of your meal, you will realize her role in all of this. She is just there to act like she owns the establishment, and then grabs your empty dishes. The food and drinks: If you like IPAs, you will appreciate their offerings. If you like generic California dry wines, you will like their offerings. If you prefer anything else, look elsewhere. The wings were worse than some of the wings I've had in Canada and other places I've been outside the state. Stay away from the dill flavored wings, which are just flavorless wings with a drizzle of dressing and dill. I'm assuming their regular wings are better. All this being said, I'm giving this place 3 stars for having a good ambiance, heat, and set in a historic part of Buffalo. read more
This is a review of Brews, Bites & Tunes! Every Tuesday in June from 5-9 there are food trucks,live music, and beer in the outdoor beer garden in front of the building. The music was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the beer was average. I had the blueberry pilsner, which tasted like flat soda pop. I switched to the golden stout, called Another Caucasian Gary, which was a much better choice. This is a fun way to spend a Tuesday night in June. read more

Many breweries to choose from in the area and I picked the best one. Love the atmosphere & food. The Blueberry Pilsner which is actually a lager was the best beer I have ever had! I enjoyed the shared outdoors area with Distillery next door. Yes brewery& distillery are two different types of drinks. read more
The was ok. I think they need to add more items to there menu. It was a lot noises but that's what happens when you go to a brewery lol. The server was excellent she took on like 12 of us that order and did it all by herself, she is the truth ( sorry I forgot her name) read more
Thank you first for offering a Mother's Day Brunch take home meal. We always go out and this year was different. Order and pick up was easy and the directions were spot on. We ate twice. We had the mimosas, frittatas and cinnamon buns for breakfast. The fruit was do good as well. My 27 year old son made this for me. The sauce for the cinnamon bun was excellent. Dinner was awesome, made by my hubby. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Out of the oven on to the plate. Add a blood orange beer. Made a great day of me. Topped off by brownies. I came to this new location after a work event last month and was impressed by the setup and decor! Definitely pretty enough for special events including weddings! 2 enormous bars, lots of bar tables and even more standing room. I'm not really a beer person but I found one I didn't mind - I think it was called "gas lamp"? I believe it was a lager. Not sure if the kitchen is serving a full menu yet but I saw some people getting hot sandwiches etc. There are cornhole games upstairs for everyone to enjoy, but apparently you can't reserve them so it's first come first serve. I'm excited to come back for a proper tour, drinks, and food. There's an outdoor area with seating so I think this upcoming summer would be the perfect time to check it out with some friends. read more

I've been to resurgence a few times. it's always really good. this time in particular was awesome because we tried another place and they didn't have low top tables for us to sit at with our baby. luckily resurgence has some in a cool spot in their brewing room. We got a flight with mostly IPAs and double IPAs they were all delicious. Highly recommend green heart, and citmo if you like hazy double/New England IPAs. Oh and my husband got the Irish breakfast...porter i can't for the life of me remember if it was a stout or Porter or something else but let me tell you I was blown away by the flavor. When I tasted it I said "we should drink that for breakfast" haha. There was notes of coffee and maple syrup. I highly recommend it!! We also got cheese curds and a pretzel. The curds were SO delicious. I got a Rueben and my husband had wrings and Mac. They were good just nothing special, if that makes sense. But I do wanna try more of their food! read more
Plenty of fantastic beers to choose from. The menu has something for everyone. We had flights and the peach was sooo good. I like the variety of interesting flavors like Logan berry. Wish they had a few fall pumpkin or apple flavors. Service was quick. Lots of seating and parking available. We ordered Nachos and fried pickles. The fried pickles were good. The Nachos were cold. Literally the cheese, Nacho chips, etc. were freezing cold. We told a waiter and he got us 2 cups of warm cheese and 1 drink token. They tried to make up for it. It was weird as we were sitting next to the kitchen. Our Nachos must not have been under the heat lamp. It was a bit weird. read more

Haven't been here in a while, I got the wings and they were great! My wife can't have gluten so this always seems to be an issue but really shouldn't be. They offer a gluten free roll so the wrap she wanted they should be able to make just as a sandwich, well first they serve her someone else's food which was a fried chicken sandwich which definitely was not gluten free, then they bring her a plain chicken sandwich with tomato and lettuce. The wrap was suppose to have cheddar, pickled reds, and bbq. She works in the industry so will not send food back, just disappointed something simple shouldn't be hard.... read more

I visited 20 breweries while in Buffalo, all of them the highest rated according to multiple sources. My favorite among all 20 is Resurgence. I never got to their original location, but did really like the newer location on Chicago Street. The place is huge and they have both a lot of lively indoor space as well as some fun outdoor space. If you've read my other reviews, you know I'm not an IPA guy, however I ordered the Resurgence IPA at any restaurant or bar that had it on tap. While at the brewery I did enjoy their stouts as well as their IPA's. They also make some great tasting food. My favorite is their Royale Burger which is delicious and different from many other burgers you can get. read more

Great, active brewery & fun place to meet for a drink or some elevated pub food. Three of us enjoyed appetizers near the brewery vats (?), an area you can sit in without a reservation. A long, wide paced alley with open air fire pits provides a simple space to socialize, and a larger indoor area has multi use tables, chairs, bar. Pictured is the charcuterie plate and the addicting fried pickles (not greasy at all, wonder if they're made in an air fryer ) read more
