While each time has not been great, I have gone back because it is convenient and it has been my nail salon since moving to the neighborhood 11 years ago[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today's experience has been the deciding factor that I will not be returning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner scheduled two clients for 2:00 PM. Unbeknownst to either of us that we were both scheduled. The other client arrived before I did. They helped me first[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At 2:25, the other client called another salon, scheduled an appointment and left. I mentioned that I had an appointment and she mentioned that she had one too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While getting my manicure, the owner was on the phone with the client who left and she was apologizing for what had happened.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I was not privy to the whole conversation, the owner then came over to me and said to the other client on the phone, "the lady is sitting right here, do you want to talk with her." She did this multiple times and it made me very uncomfortable. To put me in the middle of their error is completely unacceptable[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If we both had appointments, and the other client arrived first, they should have taken care of her first. A simple communication would have solved this issued for both clients and maybe we would both still be clients[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I can't speak for her but I can say, I will go anywhere but there. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. During an eyebrow waxing appointment, the technician not only removed the hair but also peeled off some of my skin. This caused a burning sensation and discoloration on the skin beneath my eyebrows. When I informed her and another employee that my skin was burning and hurt badly, the lady who did my eyebrows commented multiple times that my skin was "thin". I have been getting my eyebrows waxed elsewhere for years and this injury has NEVER happened to me before until I came to this nail salon to get them waxed. In sum, no accountability was ever taken, and I never received an apology, only a few dollars taken off my total amount when the waxing service should have been free after that experience. Not to mention, the "tint" I got on my eyebrows didn't even last a day. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. read more

The salon is filthy. All the equipment, walls, and floor are are really dirty. Also, everyone who doesn't have a client just sits on their phone with headphones. Got a pedi here. Overall it was a fine experience and in a pinch one I'd consider revisiting. I do have hope that I'll find a more comfortable and luxurious experience elsewhere. I appreciated that were able to get me in right away and had lots of colors to pick from. The place looked and felt clean as well. I got my wedding pedicure done here and will never be back. I give this place two stars only because my sister and mom were able to get somewhat decent mani pedis. The place is somewhat clean and we were able to get seated within 10 minutes. My mani pedi, however, was deplorable. Cuticle beds were not pushed in, the sides of my nails were POORLY groomed. If you look at the picture of my toes, the paint is bumpy because she didn't buff the nails properly! Honestly it looks like a child did my nails. Better yet, I could have painted this with my left hand and still done a better job. I was OK with the hands being less than well groomed but when I looked closely at my toes after leaving I vowed to never come back. What's worse is that, towards the end of our appointment, my mom had accidentally smudged a bit of her nail polish on her pinky nail...and when we asked her girl to kindly repaint it, she looked so annoyed and it took another 10 minutes for someone to help us. Mind you, my mom is really sweet and generous. $130 for three mani pedis?! Look at the pictures and judge the quality for yourself. All of us still left tip out of courtesy but honestly would never waste my money here again lol. read more

They are the best! Linda has been out for a while but Vivian has been covering her and doing a great job! It is best to make an appointment ahead of time, especially if you go Saturday mornings- it's jam packed! I usually go around 10:30 am, they open at 10 on Saturdays- I know, rather surprising that they open up later on a busy Saturday morning. Anyways, I usually just walk in, check- in and then pick out the color I would like. The place is extremely clean. The only downside is that they share a bathroom with the business next door so you literally have to step out of their office space and walk a couple of steps to a bathroom that's located between the two business. I usually wait about less than ten minutes for one of the manicurists to become available. The warm is always appropriate for a pedicure and it's not too hot nor too cold. I have cracked heels so whoever the manicurist is, she usually has to really scrub the bottom of my cracked heels to get it smooth. For the most part, they do a good job. A standard pedicure takes about 30 mins and then they move your things over to get your manicure. They are very thorough and really take their time pampering your nails. They massage your hands prior to painting them. I'm always satisfied with the results! read more

I paid $25 for a no-chip removal with no color. They destroyed my nails. When I asked to file one nail a little shorter on the edge, she filed them all down to nothing and round. All I wanted was to leave before it got worse. She was rough, yanking and pulling my no-chip off, making my nail bed even thinner. They're short, uneven and there is still gunk underneath. Forgot to leave a review for this place a few months back. Anywho, I only went here because my dog was getting groomed in the area and I needed a pedi. This place is not up to date and does not seem clean. Their colors looked chalky - you know when places dilute the colors with acetone- yea I noticed that going on. Anyway you are greeted at door told you go up some steps and wash hands come down and pick color. Well on my way to the sink there is very limited space to get by other clients / techs/ boxes filled with supplies. And when I was going up the stairs (back to pedi chair) after choosing a non- chalky color I had to wait for the space to clear because one tech was right by the stairs doing a pedi and another tech was directly behind getting some supplies from a tiny closet. I just feel this place was dingy, unorganized and not relaxing. Def not my go to place - just happened to need a pedi and they were available on a Saturday morning. read more

I said I would be out before 8pm and was given an attitude that none of the nail techs wanted to do it. They had me place my wrapped nails under a heater to soften the polish and the tech cut but did not shape my nails. They added a nail protector and oil to my cuticles- but $10 is a lot for this service! They said it's free when you get another no chip and $5 when you get a manicure. I come to this place sometimes but I will never go again. It's always very expensive and basic and this last time was outrageous. I had an appointment for wax and a manicure. After I got my wax I sat down for my manicure when two other women walked in the shop sat them down for their pedicure immediately and left me in the chair for a half hour while they did these two women's pedicures. No one cared that I had an appointment they forgot about me in the chair they called someone else whose day it was supposed to be off and that person didn't do a manicure only did artificial nails which is half of the entire service. Late post so my nails grew out for a week already but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Perfect designed nails for the holidays! I always call to make an appointment since they have less staff now in order to social distance due to COVID. They took my temperature right when I walked in, had me wash my hands prior to working on them, hand sanitizers located at every station, everyone wearing masks at all times, only using sterile tools, etc - it made me feel very safe! Also, they have so many cute nail stamps designs! For the holidays, casual wear, and much more. They also have chrome, gems, crystals, and gold/colored flakes. So I went here this past weekend as a result of my last minute planning. To my better judgement and the reviews, I decided this was a good place for an underarm waxing based upon the price and location. I initially schedule a 6:30pm appointment which I changed to 5:45pm was told that was fine. Upon arriving the shop is super quiet and the lady at the front is very friendly. She tells me to walk with her to the back. Chileeeeee..... she opens the door and the waxing girl (yes she looked 18) was sitting in the damn dark! The manger tries to close the door quickly as the girl scrambles to find common sense and whatever else she needs to do the waxing. So I get on the table and she begins. Goes wrong move, she didn't ask if the temp was fine with me. So upon placing it on my skin, it felt like she was trying to rub a product that was all be way melted. Then she places the paper on top and damn near broke my shoulder trying to ensure the paper is stuck to the wax. Let's just say this was the entire manner of the session. The girl is heavy handed. So we move from the left arm to the right and it's worst. My table is against the wall so she uses her body to move the entire table over (WHILE I AM STILL ON IT) and proceeds with her service. At the end, she begins plucking. While I do understand you can't get all the small hairs out with waxing, there is NO REASON as to why she was tweezing full size hairs. And trust me, I am aware of how it feels when a hair follicle leaves the root. Overall, it wasn't the best experience. The girl was sweet and nice but I don't think she was dealing with a full deck of cards, if you know what I mean. I only gave this place two stars because of the cheap price and the attitude. read more

I did upgrade to the spa version and she really brought out the callous remover skills-- worth it. :) She also had great suggestions for nail colors-- I picked out three no chip for my manicure and she suggested two alternatives and I liked her version much better! I use to love this place! The old manager kept the environment fun and lively while always very attentive to the clients. So much has changed! I recently visited a month ago after being away for several months. This trip was for a no chip mani-reg pedi and went off without any issues. The no chip actually held up quite well for several weeks. I was so impressed!! I went back last weekend to get a new no chip and pedi. All seemed well...I couldn't remember the name of the no chip neutral clear color but it was still on nails so I referenced that to the girl helping me. She assured me it was the color she picked out. I trusted her. The pedi started and that went well. As my no chip was getting underway for painting, I noticed the first coat seemed a little pink. I stopped the girl and asked again if this was the neutral color we discussed. She assured me. I was hesitant but trusted her. After a color coats, a solid coats under the dryer, I new for sure this was not right. We stopped and expressed my dissatisfaction. She found the right one then started the process of prying & scraping off the color to start over. What a mess! My nails were not really in good shape now to take the coats. Especially considering the shear nature of the polish. This error also coast me another hour in the salon, while my family waited for me in the square. Now, a week later, I still am bothered by the experience. My nails look terrible and just a couple days ago, the color was already chipping off. I was given only $10 off which something better than nothing but this experience was totally avoidable. Unfortunately I will not be back. Unless Linda comes back ....I can't even. read more

The first time I went to her I brought an Instagram design. I was very nervous because most people in the north side who do no chip manicures can't do designs. I was in for a surprise! She outdid herself. I had everyone complementing my nails and 6 weeks in, they had not chipped. I love love coming to this salon. Anye knows what I like and she's always so sweet.
