I went here based on all the great reviews. However, after my visit yesterday, I won't be back. The positive: $23 pedicure if you pay cash Mon-Wed--great deal. The negative: the woman who did my pedicure was so rough I actually yelped out loud at one point from the pain. There was nothing relaxing about my pedicure--my teeth were clenched the entire time. This place is great! Came in with a really bad dip job and my nail tech was able to rid me of that and give me a beautiful no chip manicure. She was a bit rough at first but eventually got the job done to remove the dip/fake nail bits. I loved that my nail tech was meticulous and careful. Definitely going back! read more

UPDATE 4/15/2016: I made an appointment and was surprised to find out that Amy was no longer working there. I had a no chip with Thi and was once again very happy with my service. Though on my last visit they charged me to take off my no chip from another salon, this time they removed their own work at no extra charge. I chose a peach color that ended up being more sheer than I expected; when I requested, Thi was kind enough to give me an extra coat to build up the color. I am very happy with the round, even shape she created. I will come again. ORIGINAL POST: After trying two other nail salons, I finally have "my" new place! I loved my experience at Revamp. I walked in without an appointment, but still got service right away with Amy. The place is amazingly clean and the tools are sterilized and packaged. She shaped my nails perfectly and evenly, and gave me good advice when choosing a glitter to overlay an "accent" finger. I left feeling thrilled with both the experience and the results. I've never loved any nail salon or beauty parlor as much as I love Revamp. It's just the best. Classy, chic, friendly, accessible. They are the best. Linda, the owner, is amazing. Sassy AF, hilarious, and honest with her recommendations. All the other ladies are delightful as well. Also very considerate and accommodating with any needs or requests. A wonderful place to spend a girls night. They even provide wine glasses, so BYOB! They are a few dollars cheaper if you pay with cash, but don't make you feel guilty if you only have credit. I just came in today and was incredibly impressed not only with the attention to detail given to my no-chip manicure but also the level of cleanliness and precautions taken in the age of covid. I've been loyal to a different salon (after an iffy experience here two years ago) but was in the neighborhood today and tried this place again on a whim. I could not be more happy with the amazing job on my nails! I'm normally very picky and I didn't have to ask my nails to be re-shaped even once. Really disappointed in my experience here. We called ahead and made an appointment for 2 manicures, so I'm not sure why we were made to feel rushed and stressed out for the entire time. The owner did my manicure, and got up every time the phone rang or someone walked in or anyone else needed attending to. What should have been a quick manicure turned into a very long and stressful ordeal--maybe if the owner had just focused on me for a few minutes, she wouldn't have felt so crazed. They were extremely rude to my mom, fighting her about getting a design on two nails. The woman was in such a rush she kept messing up the base polish. My mom accidentally nicked her nail while getting her wallet out to pay and the woman shamed her before begrudgingly fixing it for her. And adding more to the disappointment, she left an indent and never put on top coat, rather, she tried to rush us out the door. There are so many other nail salons (even across the street). I made a reservation for two pedicures so that my friend and I could get our nails done and enjoy some time together. They seated us at the one set of pedicure chairs with a plexiglass partition between the chairs so we couldn't even talk to each other. Then the jets in my soaking tub didn't work. You would think they would start both of our pedicures at the same time but instead they did my friend's pedicure and then left me still soaking. I debated leaving at this point. We stayed and waited for another person to come do my pedicure. Bottom line: terrible service. This used to be the nice, cute place in the neighborhood, but I think it leaves SO much to be desired at this point. I absolutely love this place!! The only reason I didn't put 5 stars, is because they could do a better job on the massages and spend a little bit more time on that part of the pampering. However, other than that It's a great ambiance and they do a wonderful job with their nails and waxing. All of the nail techs truly take their time to make sure that they meet your nail needs and do a good job ensuring it lasts. The no chip always lasts and if for some reason it chips, they have a 10 day guarantee where they will gladly fix a chipped nail up to 10 days after it being done. This shows they stand behind their services and truly care about their customers. All of the employees are accomodating and very personable. The owner is very sweet and welcoming and takes the time to get to know each and every customer. I come here every 2 to 3 weeks and I am a customer for life! :) read more

I've lived down the street from this salon for years, not sure why it took me so long to get here. Saw a sign for their cash deals on mani/pedis (Mon/Tues/Wed) so I decided to stop in. For $32 + tip, figured it was worth a shot. I had a wonderful experience overall, from a friendly greeting to prompt service (they weren't terribly busy at 3p on a Monday) to a very attentive manicurist, I'm beyond pleased with how my nails turned out. It is raining like the end of days and a Saturday; what do you do in Lincoln Square? One quick drive through and it's obvious that the Square is packed. We had caught a magnificent brunch outside the area and it looks like my friend and I had the same thought as a horde of others. "Time to get our nails done!!" Luckily my friend had thought ahead and placed reservations at Revamp. This place was crammed to the hilt with chicks getting their nails fixed. We arrived a bit late and were graciously welcomed. Anye prepared to help me with my talons and opened a fresh bag of tools. In no time, my nails were cut into shape, painted, and sealed. They looked great. We then moved into the relaxing portion of the morning, the pedicure. At Revamp, this is a move up to four or five stairs to a higher platform in the shop. The massage chairs were the good ones that dig into your spine. My foot massage was excellent. My dragon nails? Tamed and painted. I had my own flip-flops, and we went down to the main floor for drying and payment. To stress a point- the shop was wickedly busy but the professionals at Revamp made it work, kept things exceptionally clean, and worked hard to ensure that people were not waiting long. This place is not your typical nail salon. **Accessibility thoughts** Revamp has a barely discernible step into the salon. Nail painting is all done on the ground floor. The chairs did have small arms, while I was there. The floor was also very smooth and even. This stairway going upstairs has a width where people may be able to balance themselves and slowly proceed up or down. As there are so few stairs, a person may be able to scoot, also. Who knows there could be a backdoor that is at second-floor level. Massage chairs themselves are taller. The end chair does allow for the arm to swing out so multiple steps are not needed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! This was my first time going to this salon so I went in with high hopes that they would do a good job considering that they were at a "high end" location. After I got my pedicure done I showed the nail tech (different lady and didnt know her name) a picture of what I wanted(red ombre nails). Which she couldn't even do. After I told her that her ombre was to harsh(not blended) and areas that she missed applying paint, she tried to fix it more than 3 times and couldn't manage to. When she was done "fixing" my nails they looked horrible so i told her to go all red at this point since i already spend hours trying to get my nails done and also because I couldn't leave with my nails looking bad, especially if I'm paying a good amount of money for them. (She still missed a few spots applying paint).When it came time to file my nails she cut the sides of 3 of my fingers and when she was done and it was time to pay she charged me an extra $10 (because they were long)to a grand total of $105, even after all the inconveniences and having to spend more than 2 1/2 hours in there, the owner didn't care (she knew about all the inconvenience and saw my cut fingers bleeding a little) she still wanted her money.(i was expecting at least a discount). THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLACE ON EARTH! I have been going to Revamp nails for probably 3 years now and they have always done such a wonderful job. They are local, always open, and always greet you with the warmest smile. I had my bridal party in to get manis and pedis before the wedding and everyone in the salon was so kind and warm, I wanted to have all of them to my wedding! I even got my husband addicted to pedicures and I think it is because they do such a great job. I love their selection of colors for regular and gel manicures, their pedicures are out of this world and they have the best repeat customer reward: a free manicure after you've visited 10 times. I came to ReVamp for the first time today. Initially I came in for an eyebrow wax. The person who did my eyebrows did an amazing job. My girlfriend and I had an appointment at a place down the street for manis and pedis but due to my experience earlier in the day we decided to cancel it and try ReVamp. The service was excellent and I'm digging my manicure. I would definitely come back and highly recommend that you give it a try if you haven't. I've recently started coming here. I've had great experiences at this point! They are always super accommodating and have an eye for detail. I came here just before Christmas, along with everyone else in the neighborhood it seemed. Even without an appointment they squeezed me in and the results were great! You couldn't tell they were busy based on the quality of their work. Today I just got a gel manicure and had another great experience. I've never been somewhere where they spend so much time making sure your cuticles are cleaned up so the gel paint lasts as long as possible. This was REALLY appreciated. The picture attached to this review is of my most recent gel manicure that I got today. I haven't gotten anything other than a manicure and a gel manicure from here yet. I ran into this place for a no-chip on a Sunday, was welcomed by a very friendly staff, got in pretty quickly. My nail tech was highly meticulous about perfecting my extremely short nails- which was a good thing. She even put on an extra coat to try to ensure this job would make it through my sun and sand adventure. I'm happy to report that it's still rolling strong. They have deals if you pay in cash- I believe it's $32 for a no-chip, and $11 for a regular. I will definitely become a regular at this place! It's now September and I'm still going back, so... Would be great if they started using UV protectant lotion when doing no chips, like some other places are using. I always feel like I am drying out my hands/ asking for cancer when they go into that dryer! 1.9.18: I first reviewed this spot in 2015, and Have made it my go-to place for nails. A great thing about this place is that they do the punch card, where you visit 10x, you get a free regular manicure. They still aren't doing any form of SPF/ UV blocking lotion for your hands for the no-chips, so I guess that's still my only gripe! read more

While drying my nails, I smudged one and they acted like it was no big deal for them to redo the whole nail. And the price was unbelievable! I came upon this nail salon thru yelp and decided to try this place instead of our usual place. My friend called and made an appointment for both of us, since I read that appointments were recommended. We were able to get an appointment the same day at the time we wanted! Parking was semi-easy to find, it was pay for parking. We were greeted so wonderfully by the manager! I didn't catch her name, but she was so nice! We both got the pedicures at the same time and sat next to each other, even during the manicure too! The one thing that I really took notice to was the cleanliness. They used disposable plastic liners for the pedicure tubs, and sanitized the tools very well, which definitely puts us at ease. The total for the mani/pedi was $35 (we went on a friday), they accept tip on credit card, but cash is preferred. Overall, I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Lady doing my sisters nails was good, but the lady doing mine couldn't even get the tip to stick to my nails. Yesterday my daughter and I visited Revamp with a friend and her daughter for a little pampering for my daughter's birthday. My friend and I were at the pedicure stations and our daughters were a short distance away getting manicures. Unfortunately I was too far away to hear how terribly UNPROFESSIONAL my 11 year old daughter's manicurist was being. I found out after we left how horrible she made my daughter feel for shaming her about biting her nails. Apparently she went on and on about how she shouldn't bite her nails and how bad it is for her. My daughter was on the verge of tears. She's a CHILD and did not deserve this kind of treatment.
