Need a day of pampering?  I sure did!  I'm a teacher, and feel a bit haggard and worn this time of year. My nails looked like they'd been run through a wood chipper and I needed to refresh my face.  My husband gifted me a spa day at Revive Salon in Trenton, Michigan.  I had a wonderful day getting spoiled!  Apryl gave me a perfect manicure, and Lana's pedicure was delightful. I ended my wonderful day with a facial by Kelly. Every one of them was so sweet to me, and I feel like a glamorous superstar!  My manicurist was Apryl.  She has been doing nails for something like 30 years!  She is very talented.  My nails look beautiful (see pics).  She listened to what I wanted and worked efficiently to meet my needs.  I loved talking to her, too.  I was impressed that she has so much experience but still up to date on trends.   Lana did my pedicure.  She is also very experienced.  I loved how tender she was with my feet, but she also worked on them to make sure they were super soft.  She was kind and made me feel very comfortable.  I am kind of self conscious about my feet as I haven't gotten a pedicure in a super long time, but she made me feel good about them.  I ended my wonderful day with a facial by Kelly.  Omg!  That was so relaxing, and my face feels super soft. The facial was an hour of heaven!  Kelly was informative about the products she used, but she didn't once try to sell me anything.    I love how each of them were efficient but took their time.  With all three, it was a nice balance between chatting and relaxing quiet. My teen sister (accompanied by an adult) recently went to this location for a teen facial. Beware that prices on their website do not match what is charged in salon. The facial itself was of high quality; however my fifteen year old sister was charged $80 when their website lists $55 for facial and $50 for teen facial. When making the appointment the salon confirmed the price was $50 however it took much negotiation after the appointment to actually be charged $50, rather than $80. Ultimately, the salon finally reduced the price to what is advertised on their website. read more

If I could give less than a star I would. Recently relocated to this area and needed a cut and change in color in a big way. My hair had damage from sun, over processing and general summer activities that can cause hair to become less than healthy. I made an appt here after reading reviews. That will be the last appt at this place ever, I will NEVER step foot in this shopping plaza establishment again. The appt began with the photo I showed expressing what I would like to aim for going from very very blond hair to this much more appropriate darker and warmer fall look. I don't have the composure to go back to Revive and demand a refund because I'm SO upset and only leaving the house today to go elsewhere and hopefully have someone salvage the horrible job Lauren did to me. I should have known that I was in for a huge letdown when Lauren dramatically pulled my hair back, chopped it off and threw it on the floor. In addition to my warranted disappointment, while I was in this nightmare, a client physically walked in and had to have her credit card refunded because Lauren charged her TWICE and the client just noticed it. Consider yourself warned. Don't risk it. There is a terrible line of whatever was done in the front of my face, maybe a poor highlight or poor attempt to cover a previous highlight. I can't be sure. No one she have to accept this. I'm in total disbelief and disgusted. I pray the new salon I'm heading to now will have skilled professionals that would never allow someone to walkout looking the way Revive salon let me leave. After TWO HOURS. If I could only post the pictures. Awful. Update: it's been 24 days since I have had the WORST hair salon experience I can remember. This is literally the worst hair cut I have ever had in my life. And I'm not a spring chicken. This is awful. Contemplating wigs or extensions. It is that bad. Even as it grows out, it is completely unflattering and I cannot do a thing with it to make it any better. The over texturizing and scissor happy cut has made it nearly impossible to even pull it back. It is depressing to say the least. My 5yr old daughter has even remarked how "they should say sorry". Run away, and I genuinely mean that. I had followed a stylist here when she switched from another nearby salon to this one, and I noticed that as soon as she switched facilities, her work standards went down drastically. And I don't mean her skill set or anything - I mean things like REUSING DIRTY COMBS, RAZORS, CLIPPERS AND SCISSORS ON MULTIPLE CLIENTS, with bits of hair and other gross things all over them. None of the other stylists seemed even remotely concerned by this, and I even saw some of them acting similarly; does no one there know how ringworm or hepatitis are spread? I personally won't go back, because as skilled as a stylist as she was, she doesn't deserve her license if she doesn't know how to keep her clients safe from potential disease. read more

This is a place the Downriver Area needed... cutting edge and very current services. Customer service and the ability to read and understand their client needs are exceptional. My family experiences have gone from my mother of 80 yrs old that enjoys talking, as it is her big social outing, to a nervous young bride who was treated like a princess and turned into a beautiful Queen on her special day. I live in Farmington Hills and frequent spas as much as I can. REVIVE is worth the travel to enjoy the excellent service and the value they offer on each. As a matter of fact I have booked for myself and a friend this Saturday a total of 2 mani/peti's, 1-one hour massage and 1-one hour facial for a total of $$200.00 for all. Great new salon!!! Full service & it is open 7 days a week, which i love! All of the girls are very personable and accommodating. Great hair coloring & cuts. Also, have had a facial, pedicure & Keratin smoothing treatment here!! No need to ever go to another salon since they have everything and do such a great job. A group of employees were sitting around waiting for customers. I brought my two kids in for cuts and one girl started cutting my daughter's hair. Instead of anyone else offering to start cutting my son's hair, they all sat there -- not one other client was in the salon. The girl who cut my daughter's hair was so rude and rough with her, all for her to end up with a joke of a hair cut. Longer strands hung randomly throughout her head.
