Store: 2807 Invoice #: 240428. I needed the part so I paid again and would deal with it later. I showed him the e-mail and he said "You didn't Pay for it". Not sure why he would say that and I have e-mail O'Reilly asking for a refund for one of them. I will no longer go there! You can see the receipts attached, on-line and in-person.

Just left there to exchange a new battery that has been problematic. When I bought the battery and…read moreinquired about the three-year exchange warranty, the sale clerk said, "bring it in, we test it and if it fails, we will exchange it." That appears to be the first lie or lack of disclosure. In actuality, they have to test and then put a two hour charge on a battery before they can exchange. I won't buy a battery here again. But at this store, the massive fail was customer service. It has been a long time since I had a clerk "Gordon" raise his voice to me and address me as if I was not a valued customer that has a long history of spending my money at Oreilly's Auto Parts. Worse, this employee didn't even hesitate to verbally abuse me with his Manager, Aaron, standing right beside him. It was the second time in less than ten minutes that Gordon was rude, but he ramped it up by basically yell at me about how they were doing me a favor. Aaron the Manager had told me to bring the car in once the new battery was installed so they could test the alternator. First of all I told him the battery drained while parked and the car has no unusual current draw when parked, (about 60ma). As I was telling Aaron I have a professional ammeter, battery charger, and alternator tester, (I rebuild my own vintage AC Delco alternators), Gordon starts shaking his head and rolling his eyes. So I ask him, what point is he trying the make and then he unloads on me and the Manager just sits there. I had some more stuff to buy that Oreilly's had in stock, but no way I will give this store another dime of my money when there is an Autozone 1/2 mile one way and an Advance Auto 1/2 the other way. Or I will order online from RA or Amazon, where rude never happens. Gordon is a pretty epic customer service failure. It felt as if he was making some assumptions based on "visuals". Instead he was being rude to a professional sales trainer who just happened be dressed down because he was working on his 38' year-old classic Indy Pace Car. Furthermore, I had just given a customer engagement presentation and a locally owned retail store's team that this store needs. No one in that store, including Aaron, had the authority to be in any way abusive to a customer who wasn't being rude, loud, calling anyone out of name. I venture the worst thing I said was,"so far this battery has been a $200 piece of junk". That is based on it dying twice this week and in both cases, would not take a charge from a consumer battery charger.
